This is a beautiful park next to Rock Creek which allows for convenient fishing. The back in sites had lawns while the pull throughs had crushed asphalt. It has a day use area and when a party got rowdy the camp host intervened. The drive down into the park was built before larger RVs and thus a little narrower than we'd like. The same was true for the park exit with the addition of potentially having to stop on the hill for any incoming campers. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A trip to Shoshone Falls is a must see. Also park at Best Buy to get the best view of BASE jumpers if they are there. We happened to see them on the bridge and quickly headed to Best Buy to watch the jump. It's about a 90 minute drive to Craters of the Moon and worth the drive.

The first 8 sites after you come down the steep one way hill are all back-ins. This section is much nicer than the lower section (which has pull thrus and back-ins) in my opinion. The upper sites are fairly wide and long and there is grass between them with a tree or two between sites. The self pay station is up here. There is an on-site host that is on duty Wed thru Sunday. There are a lot of drive thrus especially on the weekends. Some rv'er's and visitors must not be too organized as many of the same vehicles keep riding by. Most drive slowly but a few come by way faster than prudent especially if there was anyone walking on the road. There was an all guy "party" at a pavillion Friday night. When the boom, boom, boom started the campground host went over and that was the end of that. There was some yelling but a few minutes after 9 they were all leaving (not sure if they had to or just decided to). There are several tables under cover and non campers do frequent them but I never saw anything to be afraid of. There are joggers, walkers and bicyclists that pass by as it is like a park here. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shoshone Falls is a must see as it is taller that Niagara Falls. The Perrine Bridge crosses the Snake River Gorge as you are leaving Twin Falls. If you look to the east you can still see the dirt mound that Evel Knievel used as a ramp when he attempted to jump the canyon many years ago. Everything is convenient here: Fred Meyer, WalMart, Winco Foods, etc. I attended the races at Magic City Speedway. I found a laundromat in a shopping center near Winco Foods off of Cheney Dr.

Given that the nightly rate is now $20, next time I would just go to a state park where there would be flush toilets and showers and a little more secure feeling for the same price (on a weeknight.). Although everything was quiet, non-camping vehicles drove through occasionally throughout the evening and several of the shelters and picnic tables across from the RV sites had people sitting in them throughout the evening. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful little county park that is a mix of pull through and back-in sites. Water and electric hookups, some 50 amp. No sewer or dump station on site, but there is a public dump station about a mile away. Ask the host for directions. Sites are reasonably level, gravel with grassy space between. As others have said, the entrance does look a little dicey. Just take your time going down the hill. Nice walking paths, close to the river. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We were looking for a place to stay near Twin Falls to break up a long drive. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in late June in our 25 foot MH. This is a quiet and clean campground very close to Twin Falls. There's a mix of back in and pull through sites lined up that are gravel, separated by grass and mostly level. The young trees create a sense of separation. There's not much shade although being in a ravine and close to Rock Creek may make it a bit cooler. There's a steep road down into and steep climb out of the CG - there were several class As and fifth wheels in the CG. There's no wifi. ATT and Verizon coverage was good. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is within the county park and the setting is quite beautiful with a creek running through it, many walking trails and lots of grass. The actual campground has a few sites with grassy areas, but many are separated only by a dirt/gravel space with a picnic table.

The campground is open from April 1 to November 1, which is important to know if you travel at other times of the year.

The road getting into the campground and the one getting out are both narrow and have a steep drop off on one side. Rather unsettling in the dark!

The pull-through space was not quite long enough for our 33' motorhome & toad. Only one other pull-through was being used, so it wasn't a big problem to be sticking out on one end.

Hosts are very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms consist of a vault toilet and nothing else. Very stinky.

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent little place to stay while exploring the area. It is down in a steep-walled river gorge so you are sheltered from the wind. Very clean and well-maintained. On the edge of town, so there are ample opportunities for shopping, supplies, etc. I will definitely stay here again if I ever pass through again. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

As other reviewers have stated, truly a gem. Small city park, level sites, back-in and pull thrus. Water and electric, no sewer. Area coming into the park appears a bit 'iffy' but once you drive down the hill it's fine. There was one person in the park who appeared to be car-camping, but he was quiet, stayed to himself and didn't bother anyone. Very pretty stream, nice walking trails. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small county park nestled along river near downtown Twin Falls. 30A and water; no dump station in the campground. "Large" pull-thrus were barely long enough for the coach alone. Pull thru sites are narrow, but shorter backin sites are quite spacious. No tables. No showers. Lots of walking area, lots of grass for dogs.

NOTE: Do not enter Rock Creek Park. Entrance to RV park is street adjacent to Westwind Homes. No signs for the park except the street sign itself says Rock Creek RV Park Road. If you miss it turn around in the hospital about 1/4 mile east on the left.

Good ATT service. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Found this little park on RV park reviews. It is as described previously. On Sunday afternoon there were two large picnic groups but they cleared out by 7:00 and the park was very quiet. We felt safe as there is a host and several other campers but park was not full. It is in the older part of town but nobody drives thru or loiters that we could observe. Toilets are pit toilets. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It's located at 900 Addison just south of the entrance to Rock Creek Park. First come, first serve but we had no trouble finding a spot. It's quiet and peaceful and the grounds are well cared for. We had 50A service and a lovely view of the stream. There are nice paved walkways around the park and it's close to shopping and restaurants. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A nice, quiet campground located on the north side of Addison Avenue W. The park is less than 5 miles from the Snake River. The park has 30 and 50 amp electric and water hookups. Some sites are back-in and some are pull-through sites. The park has nice well cared for green lawn, covered picnic tables, and a paved trail that follows alongside the fast flowing creek. Most RV sites face the creek, with views of lawn, and the trees and rock upon the slope beyond the creek providing a pleasant view. During our visit we enjoyed listening to bird song in the mornings and evenings. The park is near Twin Falls stores including: Albertsons, Wal-Mart, and Costco. Cell coverage was reliable at the park. We were camping in 36' Class A with a tow vehicle.

There is a dump station located about 1.5 miles from the RV Park. To get to the dump station, take a left on Addison Ave W, then a right on Washington Street. The dump station is located on the left side of Washington Street. (After you've passed 3 streets on your right, you should be able to see the dump station located on the left side of the street on the corner.

Happy Travels ... hope the information is helpful. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

To find the park: If you are coming from the West and heading East on Addison Ave W, the RV Park will be on your left. There are signs denoting the park, you could also look for the 'Westwind Homes' sign, the entrance to the park is the next road. The road into the park slopes down as the park is next to Rock Creek and is below the elevation of Addison Ave W.

We stayed here on the recommendation of a RV Salesman where we purchased a Travel Trailer (in Filer, ID) so we could shake out any problems before continuing on our trip. The setting was wonderful, with a large fast running creek running through the Park. It was quiet, while being very convenient to shopping, dining, etc. We will make a point of staying here in the future. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I spent about 45 min trying to find the place. Now that I am here I asked my GPS and it gave me this address: 900 Addison Ave W, Twin Falls, ID 83301 The turn is NOT easy to see and even then it's a bit confusing how to get down to the park.

It's a small park. See the park's website for pictures. I would have stayed longer but I needed good Internet. I pulled in some emails and got some Internet but it was slow, slow, slow. The campground is reclaimed land in kind of a low area with high walls on some sides. It is mostly pretty and grassy although the pull-through sites at the end are bare of trees. It also appeared to be a place to go for the teenage set to meet. There were three other campers when I got there around 2 PM and then I saw two others in the pull-through sites. Some folks seemed to be fishing as there is a creek. Pit toilets, no showers. No dump.

It is a bit off the beaten path from I-84 but I liked it. Grassy, trees and pleasant. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was an amazing find! Wonderful county park close to town with a very low nightly rate of $15 for electric and water. No sewer. As others have mentioned it is a bit confusing finding the entry to the RV park. This worked for us: From I-84 take Exit 173. Head south on US 93 for about 5 miles. At the big intersection turn 90° right on to Addison. RV Park entry is in 2 miles on the right. You will see a sign that reads "Rock Creek RV Park 1/4 mile" BUT the entry is almost immediately after the sign. After you cross a little bridge, the RV Park entry is the first right. There is a downhill grade with a turn. Back-in spaces are the first spaces you'll see. Keep driving for the pull-throughs. We have a 26' RV with a tow vehicle so we used a back-in spot but we saw some huge rigs come through. The park is lovely with lots of trails and the creek running through it. There is a park host to help with anything. We had a good Verizon broadband connection and lots of over-air TV channels. We will definitely be back. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
