Overall Rating:

Very nice small park with easy drive/walk into town. Stayed here last year and came back knowing it is good for quiet times. Lots to see in town and also around the area--old mines/history, etc. Small problem you many need to be aware of--pull-thrus are only 30 amp, if you need 50 amp, it will be a back-in. Also, the pull-thrus are accessed directly off the side road along the park and have a dip in front of them--many gouges from dragging rears of long-overhang units, mine included. Food/beverages are good at the adjacent City Brew Pub/grill. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty to see/do in town--historic places without the touristy hype and same stuff seen everywhere else. Good eating at the 1313 Bar/Grille. May only be 2 fuel stations in town, about 20c higher than Missoula. If you are thinking about a new Ram pickup--world's largest dealer is in Kellogg about 15 miles west, well known for good deals. Nice small town and friendly people.

A back in site with full service. Town within walking distance. Restaurant on the campground premises-very nice. Would have stayed longer but had schedule to keep to. Departing the next day stopped for breakfast in town at the "Garage Cafe"...quirky, fun. Passing through again, definitely worth stopping here. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a fine place for an overnight stay if you're hoofing it across the country on I-90. Tight quarters. No amenities, e.g., picnic tables, fire rings. But there's a roaring mountain creek that drowns out freeway noise, a very fine restaurant with a varied menu that even vegans will enjoy, a lovely gravel road/trail that's great for dog walking along the creek. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park has full hook ups and is pretty close quarters with your neighbors. That said, it is in a neat little town and has a restaurant and microbrewery on site. The food and craft beer from the restaurant were very good. There is a "Melodrama" play performed in the old Wallace Theater a block away. Being walking distance from anything in Wallace is a major reason for staying at this park, which makes up for the lack of typical campground amenities like picnic tables and fire rings, and a bit more space between campers. There is a small creek that runs along side the campground, and runs under the building housing the brewpub and restaurant. All in all a nice place to stay for a few days while taking in all the neat little town of Wallace has to offer. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Two craft breweries in town (one is onsite), a Melodrama at the Old School Wallace Theater, tours available of the worlds largest silver mine which is still open and producing. Really neat small town in a valley surrounded by mountains.

Stayed three nights and did most of the touristy things in town. Stream behind the campsite, but didn't spend much time hanging out. Although it was a tight squeeze, it was a quiet park. SInce you're in a canyon, shade isn't really an issue. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice RV park but not really designed for big rigs. 30 amp power was sufficient but if we needed to run our air conditioners we would have had trouble. There weren't many people staying so our big rig had no problem parking but might have had there been more vehicles. Really nice people and check in was a breeze. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had fun exploring the town and although we drove we could easily have walked. Ate breakfast at the Red Light Garage. The huckleberry pancakes and biscuits and gravy were delicious! Great atmosphere. The mine tour was fun but chilly. We also hiked the Pulaski tunnel trail. Very nice hike. Town people were all friendly. Great coffee at 6th and Cedar.

Our second stay at this facility and, as others have noted, the attraction is the town of Wallace itself. Paved road into the site, just past the restaurant which owns the campground. Gravel and/or dirt and grass sites; fairly level. Power and water good; dump lines at most sites. We've had creek side both visits and the sound of the water rushing down at night just lulls you to sleep. There is also road side which literally backs up right against the road and I would not recommend parking there. The adjoining restaurant serves good food and local beers. I don't believe there is another campground in the area, maybe in Kellog, so its good this is a satisfactory value. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

The lovely, small town of Wallace is worth exploring and if you're lucky enough to be there on a night when they are performing a melodrama at the theater, its a great experience of local entertainment.

Overall Rating:

The perks of this park are really the town itself. We ended up there on a weekend and the campground really has more of "parking lot" feel than a campground. There really isn't enough room for the tow vehicles so the place gets cramped and getting out was tight. Luckily the people around were respectful which is necessary when you're that close together. There are a few pull-through sites that have a bit more room at the far end. There aren't any trees, but the campground location is in a narrow valley so you don't get sun that long during the day. The grass at our pull-through site was dead. No picnic tables at sites. No wi-fi except at the restaurant. The park charges per person and I can see why -- some sites had tents in addition to RVs. Very close together.

The town is fun. Do the mine tour that meets in town. They take you to a mine with functioning equipment and show you a drill running, muck rakers, etc. The ghost town bus tour was good too. The railroad depot museum is nice (right by the park). Everything is walking distance. A lot of the people staying at the park are there for the bicycle trails, so there are lots of bicycles. ATVs are common too and street legal in town. There is a nice bicycle trail right from the park. There are many festivals during the year -- see what is going on in advance. They had an accordion festival when we were there and it was fun that accordion players were practicing down at the restaurant patio. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The best thing about this park is its location. It is next to a creek and a short walk to historic downtown Wallace. There are clean and modern restrooms and showers. The spaces are rather close together. WiFi is available at the restaurant next door and since it is owned by the same people, you are welcome to sit in the restaurant's patio area to use it. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

The whole town of Wallace is on the national historic register. There are many interesting old buildings containing restaurants, gift shops, museums, saloons and even a bordello that was in business til 1988 and is now a bordello museum. The town has a rich mining history. Make sure you attend a performance at the Melodrama theatre.

Came in for a overnighter but stayed a extra day. As others have said the pub brewery and their food was excellent. The CG was marginal mostly back-ins with 4 pull thru's all 30 amp sites. No cable, or OTA, Wi-Fi at the pub only. Not a destination camp but still a fun place with the pub and town. We would come back if passing thru. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Wallace RV Park for one night and enjoyed our stay. The park is adjacent to a stream and that is the best side of the park. The owner was friendly and helpful. The park is in walking distance to the historic district. A pub with a great selection of beers is on site at the RV Park. It has a lovely outdoor patio with a large fire pit.
