We stayed a little over 3 weeks while on vacation back in the seasonal camper area. Gravel roads in campground, a little rough and had many potholes. Facilities were clean upfront in the general area, but the seasonal bathroom/shower area was lacking. Campers and owners were polite and fun, planned weekend events, music every other weekend. Only issue was owner was a little lax in his duties, paddle boats upside down in pond for days, fishing docks in ponds broken and sunk in water. Seasonals had to really get on him to get things done or fixed. We had our 30amp electrical outlet burn up and burn the end off a new cord, was without power, no air in 87 degree weather. Was told it would be a while before he could fix it. My husband is an electrician so, he gave us an outlet and we fixed it ourselves!! Customer service goes a long way is all I'm saying. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground for seasonal units or weekend campers. Too far off of the interstate for overnight camping, and roads leading to campground are very narrow with little to no shoulder. Nice restroom facilities, trash around cabins/tent area, narrow roads. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped there as hosts of a 7 unit brand specific rally. All units were 36ft 5th wheels and we fit into the pull throughs nicely. The clubhouse has been remodeled this year and is beautiful. We were allowed to use the clubhouse for our meals and meetings. The manager was very accommodating. Had a free movie ad a couple of 2 for one breakfasts, a 2 for 1 ice cream and free frogs legs one afternoon. It is remote but there is a town within 10 miles. Cell phone and cell internet was iffy but AT&T and Verizon did usually work. If the campground had free Wi-Fi and Cable TV it would have had a 10 rating. This campground was resurrected from a long dormant period by a very committed manager and I would expect it to only get better. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The price paid was $3 more for a holiday weekend. It included a ticket for buy one, get one free breakfast and use of the paddle boats for a full hook up 50 amp back-in site. Big rigs are doable but Crazy Horse Road is pretty narrow getting out to the campground. Although this park was our worse nightmare, as our Verizon phones and cell card did not get a signal and our satellite dome was under a tree and we were here for work purposes, we quickly discovered once we resigned ourselves to the loss of modern technologies that the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful and the folks were friendly. There were many "regulars" who lived within a few miles of the campground and come out for the weekend. There is a swimming beach and fishing, lots of activities -- there was a Fourth of July parade and Bingo, a nice playground and game room. It's a little far off the beaten path, but would make a nice weekend getaway with the kids or away from the phones, internet and TV. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Motorhome.

I live near here, FYI - This campground has been sold to Panduit Corporation(for the property, not the facility) and will be re-developed for office use. It closed permanently in November. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Motorhome.

This park was OK. Next to a major freeway, little to recommend it other than it is closest to Chicago (where we needed to be). The "lake" is more like a pond. Dirt roads through the park. Some spaces looked as if people used the park for RV storage. If you are looking for things to do, this is not the place. If you are looking for a safe, clean park near the metropolitan Chicago area, I would definitely recommend it. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Motorhome.
