Site 47 is sloped down from entrance >12" If in a motorhome you will likely need to drive in and use electric extension as well as blocks. Sites 1-8/9 are FHU. Others are Electric only. The 'bones' of the park are great. Most sites are asphalt without any damage. Sites include a fire ring/barbecue combo. This makes it almost impossible to cook and have a simultaneous campfire. Both the picnic table and the power box had an extensive live wasp nest. The camp host couple were a bit cold but otherwise helpful. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Corps Campground. Huge lots. ReserveAmerica showed as booked, but we were able to call ahead and check, short notice, for first-come, first-serve sites. They had two on a Saturday night! Very popular campground, park, lake and marina. Electric only! Restrooms were clean, but very cold via A/C. No arrangements to dry hands. Cell service was adequate, but slow. You have to want to come here to get here. We used it as a way-point on our leg from Alabama to Minnesota. Would definitely camp here again. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in various sites at Boulder. It is a campground where many people interested in fishing frequent. The sites are roomy and wooded. We enjoy this campground very much. Full service is limited to 10 sites the remaining are electric only. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice Corps of Engineers park but not quite as nice as others we have stayed at. The sites are electricity only and we were able to secure one with 50 amp service. There are water faucets spotted around the park to fill your tank. There is absolutely no recycling of any kind in the park; shame on you, Federal Government. We were able to get a great DirecTV signal from space 50 and our Verizon Wireless signal was adequate as well. We would stay here again. This is an excellent COE campground. We stayed in site #5 that is a wide, paved site that looks out onto the marina. It has full hookups and is quite spacious. The utilities all worked well, and the views are great. We had originally reserved another site, but upon arrival learned that there had been a cancellation on a full hookup site. It was a great decision! I will stay here again. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.

This campsite is along the COE Carlyle Lake Reservoir, about 12 miles south of I-70, and about 60 miles east of St. Louis. It has both electric and full-hookup sites. I stayed in an electric site and then moved to a full hookup. Electric sites are in woods along lake, but I could not get satellite. Full-hookup sites are newer and more open with asphalt pads and grass. There is a marina and boat launch. I would easily stay here again. Price is senior rate for COE campgrounds. Electric only site was $8. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.
