Nice State Park. Just stayed one night while traveling my sales territory. Spacious, level and clean sites. Self check-in after 4:00 PM. Only negative was little to no cell phone service! We camped at Fox Ridge State Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this park! Gravel site with elect, but very spacious and level. Two loops, one with 50 amp service and large sites. Plenty of privacy, with trees and brush between sites, fire rings and tables for handicap. Facilities were used, but very clean. Strangest showers I've seen. Hold the handle up for water. The longer you hold it the hotter it gets. Let go of it and the water stops. But it worked. Will be back. We camped at Fox Ridge State Park in a Motorhome.

This campground has two loops. The front loop is 50 amp and has a handfull of reservable sites: most are level and secluded. The back loop is mostly 30amp. All sites are electric only. During the week this park is so quiet that the owls will wake you during the night. Best sites for bigger rigs are on the front loop on the opposite side from the reservable sites. Entry roads are paved but narrow. Dump station and showers are clean and well maintained. The sites are gravel with picnic table, light stand, and fire ring. Like most Illinois State Parks: there are no alcholic drinks permitted. Cell phone reception is very limited: without a booster we had no signal, with a cell signal booster we got three bars. We camp here in the fall while attending Eastern Illinois football games. We like this park. It is state park so it is on the rustic side. Sites are gravel, with table and fire ring. Most sites are well shaded with plenty of trees separating campsites. People here are friendly and nice. There are a limited number of sites for big rigs, and no 50 amp hook-ups. We camped at Fox Ridge State Park in a Motorhome.
Sites were large and shady. The camphost was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was only one pull-thru in the campground. Restrooms were very clean. The campground is 11 miles ffrom the interstate, but, worth the extra drive to stay there. It is a very family oriented State Park. We camped at Fox Ridge State Park in a Motorhome.
