Great location to downtown St. Louis! A definite plus for us. The facility is divided into two sections. The first primarily for short stays - all pull through sites. Asphalt road and site pads with gravel in lieu of grass between sites. The second for longer stays - back in sites. Asphalt roads and site pads with grass between sites. Nice playground area for children and grass dog walk. No pressure to participate in the casino, although transportation was available. No better place to stay if visiting downtown St. Louis. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

For location - being close to the Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis - this place cannot be beat. However, it is grossly overpriced at $53 per night, with discount, and zero amenities. There are regular 2 washers and 2 dryers and they are $3 each! OUCH! The rv sites are, for the most part level. Everything is asphalt/black-top for roads and parking pads with small gravel islands between sites. The sites are oddly laid out and very close together. The park was almost empty when we were there for 3 nights and as each RV came in they were parked almost on top of each other instead of being more spread out. The north side of the park does have trees that provide some shade and very short sites. The south side has no shade and much longer sites. Train noise was almost imperceptible. Security drives through quite often. For the 4 days we were there - the dumpsters were empty but there were garbage bags on the ground to the side of and kind of behind the dumpsters and no one ever picked them up and they stunk. The casino is smoke free which was very nice however - SKIP the buffet. We go to a LOT of casinos and eat at a LOT of buffets and I can only think of 2 that are worse than this one. There are other restaurants in the casino to choose from. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

First Impression: A little tricky wandering the local roads from I-64 to the CG. First appearance seems nice. South side for big rigs; north has smaller, back-in sites. Safety: campground is fenced with surveillance cameras and a security patrol but no controlled access. Access: from the east, I-64 to Third Street (exit 2A). Angle right at the next light onto River Park Drive or you're headed over the Eads bridge to St. Louis. Next left on Continental Grain Road and follow the signs. Garmin GPS RV database was clueless - use your smart phone. Office: Small, convenience store with a few snacks, soft drinks, beer & wine, a few toiletries, and token RV items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Multiple price discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room, or rec center. Nice restrooms/showers (score "A"). No propane sales. Small, attractive playground. No off-leash dog run. Multiple picnic table shelters w/charcoal BBQ grills. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter.Trees on the north side only. Interior roads are asphalt with gentle turns. Big rig and long coach friendly. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all spacious, asphalt, pull-through and back-in, no landscaping, gravel between, level. All utilities at very rear of site with FHU-20/30/50; no meters. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" unthreaded, about 2" above ground level. No patios, no picnic tables. Open ground fires not permitted. Good satellite views south side. No cable TV. OTA TV found 34 channels with good reception. Free Wi-Fi with good coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone and 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Nearby freight railroad, a few aircraft, no local traffic, no interstate noise. Bug Report (mid July): no insects noted. Runners: campground roads good for running. Yoga: sites are plenty big enough for your mat. Conclusion: Pricey for no amenities but there are few options if you want to visit Saint Louis. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

From the campground, walk or shuttle to the East River train stop and take the MetroRail ($2.50/person/1-way or $1.50 for seniors) one exit across the river and easily walk to the Gateway Arch in Saint Louis ($13/person tram to the top). The Arch is impressive but the free movie really tells the story. Dinner at The Spaghetti Factory.

We spent two full days here. What a great location! You can see the Arch from your site! A free 24 hour shuttle takes you to the Casino (next door) and the Metro, which we took into the city. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the free shuttle to the Metro. Saves paying the expensive parking in the city. We visited the Gateway Arch, Union Station, Busch Stadium and the St Louis Casino. If you go to the Brew House across from the stadium, you can take the trolley to the Anheuser-Busch plant for a free tour (includes a free drink at the end).

Clean, no-frills RV park at the casino and across the river from the arch. Easy sites to get into--all flat, with no landscaping on the south side. A little shade would have been nice on some very hot days. Would have rated higher, but they employ an ALPR system at the exits. Not sure why we need to be contributing to a database of people's whereabouts for an RV park/casino. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you like to gamble, or if you want to see the Great Western Gateway Arch or St Louis, this is the only place to stay. It was 10 minutes from our site to the arch. The Casino will pick you up to take you to the train. Train ride is 5 minutes to the arch path. It is a no frills park. Half of the park has tree lined rows, half does not. The trees seem to be where they put the smaller RVs. Paved sites with rock in between. Fair distance from you neighbor. I don't think you could get any closer if you want to see the Arch. It's clean. It's "not" dusty. They have a small store. There is grass all around the park which makes for a great place for walking the dog. You will have some nice views of the St Louis skyline in the evenings. The utilities are in the rear of the site, so you will want to stay to the rear with your RV. I would stay again in a heartbeat. It suited our needs well. The casino is very accommodating. If it had more amenities, I would have given it a 10. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Poor set-up, hook-ups are at far end of site so have to unhook towed car and then backup in order to use hook-ups. Neither washer in laundromat worked. Tried to get assistance from office but still closed even though 25 mins after posted open time. Had to do some clean-up before I would use shower. Not a well-maintained park as far as "amenities" and felt over-the-counter. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with roaming security and shuttle service. Perfect views of the Gateway Arch and Gateway Geyser. Metrorail and trains come by a lot but not distracting. A little to close to the east St Louis projects to hear gunfire though. Overall, the Casino and RV park where convenient to meet our needs. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

All sites are on asphalt with gravel between sites. The shorter sites also have trees between them and would be great if you aren't very long. We were in a 70' pull-through. The hookups are at the back of the sites. We didn't unhook our toad and had to use our extension cord to reach power. We didn't use sewer or water because of the distance. The thing we liked that I didn't see others mention is that there is a nice grass perimeter (real grass-not weeds) around the park inside the fence which was great for walking the dogs. It rained a lot while we were here and it was nice not to be in mud. The view across the river of the city and arch is great. Call security and they will pick you up at your site and take you to the casino or MetroLink which we took over to the arch. We didn't connect to cable but OTA stations and satellite worked fine. The wifi also worked most of the time but there aren't many people here. Yes there are trains but they didn't bother us all that much. At least they weren't blaring their horns all night. We would stay here again. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed our stay. It is a very nice, clean place to "base" out of while touring the St Louis area. It was very easy and convenient to get to St Louis and enjoy the city. I will stress.. this is NOT a frills kinda place... It offered us a nice/convenient place to be relative to downtown. We are very happy and can see us going back again. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very good place to stay and easy to get to from I-55/I-70 with good signage from the Exit. However it is right beside a very busy train track where many very large freight trains go by on a regular basis. Also not only do the trains go by in our case they were stopped, engines running, for an extended period of time during the night which made it hard to sleep. We were near the tracks bit if you get a site at the west end of the park it's would probably be by less noisy. The traffic and trains isn't the only downside but you get used to it. The park has its own office which you check into when you arrive. The sites ranged from smaller backin sites to long pull through sites which accommodate Class A motorhomes towing a car. There is gravel between these sites. Not far away are smaller backin sites. The park is fenced in and securityndrive through very often. The staff were very helpful and friendly and to go to the casino just call security and they will come and drive you there and back again. Excellent service. We ate at the Sevens restaurant as the Buffet is closed on Mondays. We had a very nice meal and it was big! We found this Casino RV park to be good but more expensive than others we have stayed at. It is also a non smoking Casino. It is situated across the river from the city and we look right at the Gateway Arch which looked beautiful all lit up at night with the city lights. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a mediocre casino RV park. As others have said, there are 2 sides: one is open with fairly large site and the other has some trees and smaller, tighter sites. I believe all site are FHU, pull through with limited cable TV. The Wi-Fi is not reliable and often useless. If not for easy access to St. Louis, this would be a very overpriced park. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 nights to see some attractions in the area due to the park's proximity to downtown St Louis. The park is an interesting drive from I-70/55/64 (Exit 2B: 3RD ST) through a commercial district along a paved roads that had seen better days. The casino grounds were undergoing some construction so it was a rough ride. Plus there were significant dips near the office which could cause damage from impacting the pavement. There were a lot of scrape marks in the pavement on both the entrance and exit sides. There was a main train track along one side of the park. Freight trains were very active along the route causing noticeable noise in the early morning hours. All of the sites are pull throughs. The interior roads and sites are paved. There are two different areas in the park. One that was older with smaller sites and a tree canopy. The other was newer, more open, with larger parking pads and no trees. We stayed in the newer section so the information about the sites is about the newer section. The park was built on a slope. There appeared to be no effort to tier any of the sites so only a handful are anywhere near level. The remainder have a bi-directional pitch that in some cases is extreme causing some motor homes to have their axles suspended in the air. The P/T sites were long enough but the location of the utility connections at the rear of the site caused us to park the towed vehicle in the front in order to reach the connections. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Distance and gravel areas establish privacy between the sites. No outside table or fire pits. In the newer section, there were no obstructions to the sky so satellite reception was good. Cable channel lineup showed 15 channels. The park provided WiFi was poor. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For being a casino park, this one was disappointing. In the newer section, the sites at the ends of each row (501 - 506, 521, 522, 601, 602, 604, 618 & 619) are generally the levelist. It's an easy ride on the mass transit train into downtown St Louis. The station is near the casino. The hardest part is getting from the park to the station (casino security provides rides) and from the street level to the track level - 3 stories up.
