I don't understand the low ratings for this park. It is near the railroad but there are spaces farther away. It is a paved lot, but clean, patrolled and safe. The hookups are all very good but at the back of the space. The metro is within walking distance or you can call and a courtesy van arrives quickly to drive you. It is extremely convenient to downtown St Louis. I can't find any other place with such access. So if you are a tourist or like casinos, this park is very good. If you want campfires, social events, and campground activities, there are better choices but they are out of town. The price is higher but fair in my opinion given the location. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What a terrible campground. It's horribly expensive for a parking lot. It's designed terribly, The whole campground slopes down, making it difficult or impossible to level. Even with our front wheels in the air we couldn't get level. Customer service is non existent. You have to reserve online only and you will be sent a code. If you do it while you arrive they send a confirmation but no code. You have to call the casino to get the access code from employees with an attitude. This place is a nightmare for motor homes. you can tell by the steep entrance and exit with all the tail scrape marks in the pavement. THEN you make a hard lean to the right on this weird huge hump coming in putting a big twist on your coaches frame. The sites were laid out by a complete idiot. All the services are the very tail end of the spots. Which means either you need many extensions for sewer water and electric. FYI, designers, utilities are not at the rear of most coaches. If you have a toad, you have NO CHANCE of hooking up while attached. This place looks like a prison camp. Completely fenced in with a permanent security tower at the front gate. THE TRAIN, will shake your entire coach as it's that close by. Want to change sites? Yup call the casino, get transferred , leave a message, wait for call back. They place low hanging street lamps over the roadway, easily hit by coaches, use caution. This place is a complete rip off, we would never camp here again. This is a great place to spend a night when traveling. Sites are concrete and park is well kept. It is expensive for a casino park and there are really no amenities other than full hookups. There used to be a convenience store, however that is now closed. Shuttle service to the casino is provided, however it is just a short walk across the parking lot. Park has security patrols and is fenced in. All reservations are done on line and you are given an access code for the gate and restrooms, very easily done. Overall Rating:

Unfortunately, our schedule and mileage/time per day put us in St. Louis so we could not avoid paying this too high rate for this time of year. I guess, because some RV customers use the park to sight see St. Louis, the casino charges more than the typical casino RV park. We have been here before, but that was probably 20 years ago. We managed to get a FHU, pull through site in the newer side of the park. This side of the park is satellite TV friendly and there were plenty of OTA channels. The Wi-Fi worked fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms were clean and seemed adequate for this park. I saw no signs of recycling. Overall Rating:

Not a lot to brag about with this park unless you are into casino's. All paved sites and spaces, very sloped pads made for a difficult leveling job. Poor signage leading into the park made finding it difficult. At $53 a night I expect a lot more in the way of amenities. Pretty bare bones and expensive for what you get. I probably would look for better options if I am ever in the area again. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one big rip-off. $57.00 for no amenities, no cable tv, no pool, no picnic table, a store/office that closes at 4PM every day. No attempt by staff to be friendly or helpful. Most of the trash areas don't have a receptacle for it. I question how they are approved by Good Sam. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

We used Casino Queen as an overnight, based on reviews here as well as those on another website. More importantly it was right along our route. There are few trees, most of which are too small to provide worthwhile shade. There is no grass. There are no picnic tables, no fire rings. Sites are paved pull-throughs. What little space there is between you and your neighbors is covered with ornamental-style crushed stone. Utility hookups in good condition and logically placed. There was no threaded connection for sewer. The park is clean and well-maintained. Noise from passing trains was subdued and did not bother us. Security is on patrol. The park office was closed when we arrived but we had called ahead and were told we could take any open site and register the following morning. Some will say that the cost of a night's stay here is out of line with what you get. The cost of running a park in an urban setting such as this is inherently expensive. Consider too the proximity to attractions such as the Gateway Arch and the Budweiser brewery, making for a very little driving to get to them.

I'll recommend two things: 1) Avoid a prolonged stay here during the summer months. The lack of shade, asphalt sites/roads and the crushed stone cover will make it very difficult to keep your rig cool during the day, and 2) time your arrival for daylight hours. Getting to the park can be tricky if your GPS does not agree with the signage. The office closes at 4 p.m. so you would be attempting to navigate this park with no map. Arriving at night in the rain would compound these problems. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Clean, crisp, sharp park with excellent view of St. Louis. Sites are asphalt with gravel in between. All roads are wide and smooth - no potholes. Not much grass except in play areas, but what is grass is well-manicured. Staff was courteous, helpful, and professional. Security provides a shuttle to Casino. Three good dining choices there. Hook ups are at rear of sites so probably will have to unhook toad. The only negative we saw was the asphalt is slightly slanted making leveling difficult. It doesn't seem that this park is greatly used unless Cardinals are in town or another event. We will use it again as it is a great place to stay and see St. Louis. Great location to downtown St. Louis! A definite plus for us. The facility is divided into two sections. The first primarily for short stays - all pull through sites. Asphalt road and site pads with gravel in lieu of grass between sites. The second for longer stays - back in sites. Asphalt roads and site pads with grass between sites. Nice playground area for children and grass dog walk. No pressure to participate in the casino, although transportation was available. No better place to stay if visiting downtown St. Louis. Overall Rating:

For location - being close to the Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis - this place cannot be beat. However, it is grossly overpriced at $53 per night, with discount, and zero amenities. There are regular 2 washers and 2 dryers and they are $3 each! OUCH! The rv sites are, for the most part level. Everything is asphalt/black-top for roads and parking pads with small gravel islands between sites. The sites are oddly laid out and very close together. The park was almost empty when we were there for 3 nights and as each RV came in they were parked almost on top of each other instead of being more spread out. The north side of the park does have trees that provide some shade and very short sites. The south side has no shade and much longer sites. Train noise was almost imperceptible. Security drives through quite often. For the 4 days we were there - the dumpsters were empty but there were garbage bags on the ground to the side of and kind of behind the dumpsters and no one ever picked them up and they stunk. The casino is smoke free which was very nice however - SKIP the buffet. We go to a LOT of casinos and eat at a LOT of buffets and I can only think of 2 that are worse than this one. There are other restaurants in the casino to choose from. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

First Impression: A little tricky wandering the local roads from I-64 to the CG. First appearance seems nice. South side for big rigs; north has smaller, back-in sites. Safety: campground is fenced with surveillance cameras and a security patrol but no controlled access. Access: from the east, I-64 to Third Street (exit 2A). Angle right at the next light onto River Park Drive or you're headed over the Eads bridge to St. Louis. Next left on Continental Grain Road and follow the signs. Garmin GPS RV database was clueless - use your smart phone. Office: Small, convenience store with a few snacks, soft drinks, beer & wine, a few toiletries, and token RV items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Multiple price discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room, or rec center. Nice restrooms/showers (score "A"). No propane sales. Small, attractive playground. No off-leash dog run. Multiple picnic table shelters w/charcoal BBQ grills. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter.Trees on the north side only. Interior roads are asphalt with gentle turns. Big rig and long coach friendly. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all spacious, asphalt, pull-through and back-in, no landscaping, gravel between, level. All utilities at very rear of site with FHU-20/30/50; no meters. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" unthreaded, about 2" above ground level. No patios, no picnic tables. Open ground fires not permitted. Good satellite views south side. No cable TV. OTA TV found 34 channels with good reception. Free Wi-Fi with good coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone and 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Nearby freight railroad, a few aircraft, no local traffic, no interstate noise. Bug Report (mid July): no insects noted. Runners: campground roads good for running. Yoga: sites are plenty big enough for your mat. Conclusion: Pricey for no amenities but there are few options if you want to visit Saint Louis. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

From the campground, walk or shuttle to the East River train stop and take the MetroRail ($2.50/person/1-way or $1.50 for seniors) one exit across the river and easily walk to the Gateway Arch in Saint Louis ($13/person tram to the top). The Arch is impressive but the free movie really tells the story. Dinner at The Spaghetti Factory.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the free shuttle to the Metro. Saves paying the expensive parking in the city. We visited the Gateway Arch, Union Station, Busch Stadium and the St Louis Casino. If you go to the Brew House across from the stadium, you can take the trolley to the Anheuser-Busch plant for a free tour (includes a free drink at the end).

Clean, no-frills RV park at the casino and across the river from the arch. Easy sites to get into--all flat, with no landscaping on the south side. A little shade would have been nice on some very hot days. Would have rated higher, but they employ an ALPR system at the exits. Not sure why we need to be contributing to a database of people's whereabouts for an RV park/casino. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you like to gamble, or if you want to see the Great Western Gateway Arch or St Louis, this is the only place to stay. It was 10 minutes from our site to the arch. The Casino will pick you up to take you to the train. Train ride is 5 minutes to the arch path. It is a no frills park. Half of the park has tree lined rows, half does not. The trees seem to be where they put the smaller RVs. Paved sites with rock in between. Fair distance from you neighbor. I don't think you could get any closer if you want to see the Arch. It's clean. It's "not" dusty. They have a small store. There is grass all around the park which makes for a great place for walking the dog. You will have some nice views of the St Louis skyline in the evenings. The utilities are in the rear of the site, so you will want to stay to the rear with your RV. I would stay again in a heartbeat. It suited our needs well. The casino is very accommodating. If it had more amenities, I would have given it a 10. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.
