Stopped here on our way back from TN. Nice campground, owner was very friendly. Gravel sites with full hookups and basic cable, everything worked fine. Road work had the direct route closed, but the detour is well marked. Wallmart is close by as are several resturants. - ANDYO1

This place is a gem! Has a small bar/lounge with three slot machines, replete with a friendly host/bartender and local campers.
Sites are spread out - they are gravel filled which isn't my favorite but useable.
Highly recommended, for the money.
Call ahead and ensure a reservation...they full up fast! Duh! - Jimrodenkirch

Spent a week here visiting friends. Most sites are pull through and level wooded sites. Could not get satellite signal but they do have basic cable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It appeared to be a popular overnight stop for those traveling on I-70 and I-57. Play area for children as well as horseshoes. They also rent canoes and kayaks for the lake. Many sites have view of lake. We didn't use showers, laundry room or lounge so can't give personal comment but heard they were very clean. - fredkelk

We didn't end up staying here. We came here with reviews from the internet, saying it was such a great place, clean and nice. When we got there, there was not a lot of room for a TT to go through. Most everyone there was a Seasonal with deck and toys, and just a big mess, this looked more like a run down trailer park not a "RV" "CAMP"ground. - DnCKess

This park is under new management with great ideas. They are in the process of renovating the entire place. New docks are being built and installed right now. I guarantee any problems you have had in the past will not arise again with the new owners. This is a great place to go fishing, skiing, boating, swimming, and just enjoying the outdoors. The bathrooms and showers are clean and very nice. The campers are friendly and everyone is here to have a good time. - Chet Kiefer

This park was a joke. It was like dry camping. Our water was just a pipe stuck in the ground with no water. We had to use a garden hose to stretch to the next open lot to get water. The fire ring was a car rim just thrown down on the ground. The owner, I think he was the owner, was too mean to talk to. He did not like anyone to ask or talk to him, so we just made due with what we had. Not a good idea to make a crazy, mean man mad at you in the middle of the woods, far away from any kind of police. The people with us went to the dump. I guess it had gas build up in the dump. When she let the black tank go the dump back fired and she was covered with 3 days worth of you-know-what. So needless to say we will not be coming back here ever!!! - rv1
