Dec 2017 - $20.00
We are here for the 2nd consecutive month - $360.00 includes electricity. This is a very nice city park with 30 full hookup sites - most are back in with easy access. The park is open all year with no reservations. All sites have 30A and 50A power. All sites have a cement pad on which to park. - Fulltime Roberts
Aug 2016 - $20.00
Traveling from So. Calif, we have stayed at the park several times. Full Hook-ups, 50 amp. Level Concrete pads, most sites are shaded, some open to the south for satellite. Free internet, be sure to get voucher number from park attendant also free fire wood. Several picnicking sites which are covered with tables. The trees are kept trimmed as to keep from hitting larger RVs. We stayed here in a Class "A" 40 motor-home. NO PROBLEMS. - Roy Fleming
May 2015 - $16.00
This campground has many positive features and a few negative ones. It is situated on a wooded hill. Most sites are good size and shady. All are full hookup and have concrete parking pads. The park is in the country so it is generally quiet. The hookups work well except that the water has an off taste even with a water filter (we ended up buying drinking water). At $16 per night it is a bargain. The bathrooms are quite old but everything seems to work well and the showers are good size. Because of the age it is hard to tell how clean the bathrooms are, but they are reasonably okay and certainly not overly used since everyone has full hookups. New this year is WiFi which works okay if you are close enough to the antennas (located at the bathhouse) but not so great if you are not. TV reception (Evansville) was okay as was AT&T cell phone reception. They generally do not take reservations. When we were there on an early May weekend they were about 2/3 full. It seems like most campers were from relatively local areas. Getting to the campground is somewhat a challenge especially if it is your first time here. All roads are narrow and pretty rough. We came through Carmi. There are other routes but one is just as difficult as another. Note that when the road inside the park branches, take the right hand branch next to the pond to get to the campground - the left branch goes to the picnic area. We would stay here again when we want to be in this area. - RXA-ADM
May 2017 - $15.00
This is a very good park for the price. The sites are level and there is ample shade and grass. There is also a nice play ground for the kids near the sites. Pets are welcome and its lovely to leash your dogs and walk around the lake or the park itself. Theres a small lake you can fish at and is beautiful to picnic at. Bathrooms are nice..showers are HOT with good pressure. Park staff are nice and come around to collect for the site. Sites have a fire ring..picnic table...electric and water. The town nearby has fast food...grocery store..hospital..and walmart less than 4 mi away. - Spicer09
May 2016 - $15.00
Beautiful city park, a little off the beaten path, but with reasonable RV camping, this worked. We overnighted here and didn't unhook. Sites were a little hard to figure out on signage, but level enough. Lots of playground equipment & small train for the kiddies. Camp office was open when we got there, so no problem getting layout info, but for late pull-ins, could be a challenge. Caretaker will come around in morning to collect. Large pull-throughs in basically non-designated areas other than looking for electrical hookup accessibility was a little confusing, but price was very reasonable for what you got. Plus, I repeat, park was beautiful and well-maintained. - kharmaquest
Jun 2011 - $15.00
Pretty park, grassy sites (that can get muddy with rain), sort of level. Electrical hook-up was good and Verizon aircard worked. Water hook-up was too far to reach. Some of the sites had the water near the electrical but ours were on different ends of the site roughly 70' apart. You may want to fill up your fresh tank before you come. - Traveler_2011
