4 Parks near Galesburg, Illinois
Jul 2013 - $27.00
Be aware...the full hook-up sites are only 30 amps. We were told when making our reservation, and it states online, they have 50 amp and full hookup. The full hookup sites are only 30 amps. Some sites were cement while others were grass. Looked nice but we ended up getting refunded and leaving due to no 50 amp full hookups. They said they were looking to add 50 amps to the full hookup sites, but not until next year or so. Their is a lake and many shaded sites. Looks lovely for a family to spend some time. Not hard to find. Only a couple miles off main highway. Walmart and restaurants a couple miles away. - BrendaB
Jun 2012 - $28.00
This is a large City park with mostly tent camping. There a few sites that are designated handicap and have concrete pads. The rest of the sites are on grass. The water hookups will require a 50 ft. hose on several sites. If all sites are filled, the park would be very crowded. I would stop here again but would request a spot between 118 and 128, which are RV sites. The rest of the park is primarily tent sites. - A hitch and hop
Jun 2011 - $27.00
When I called I had requested a 50 amp full hook up. The available options were a concrete site w/30 amp or a 50 amp in the grass. I was told we could pig-tail a 20 to make a 50, which we could not even try since when we arrived we were told it was grounded. Since admittedly several people had been stuck due to heavy rains, we opted to go with the 30 amp concrete site, maneuvering in under a low branch. We immediately reported apparent problems with the ground fault tripping and cutting off our electricity. This was on a Wednesday early afternoon. It was not that hot until Friday when it was sweltering over 90 degrees and I could not even turn on the microwave, let alone one of the air conditioners. I believe someone should have come out to repair it before then. Camp was filling up for the weekend so they allowed us to run our generator after we tried to struggle through it. Meanwhile a new occupant in the site next to us experienced a similar problem. Staff was nice and friendly but did not seem to comprehend the discomfort and concern caused by obvious electrical problems. (At first they were blaming our rig since "only a couple of other people" had experienced similar problems). There are numerous trash barrels that are uncovered and so the birds and critters spread trash all around the yard at night. Beautiful park but there are also some low branches. We will not likely stay again. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Quiet and shady, nice over-night stop on a hot day
and with a pool to boot!
The staff was helpful and informative.
Far enough from the freeway that there was no road noise.
While their wifi provider is Tengo, it was the first time we have ever had Tengo when everything worked.
We'd certainly stay here again. - wetterwashington
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Older RV park, but nicely kept. Sites narrow, and neighbors close. each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Good Verizon signal. Park has Tengointernet but it seemed better than average when tested. Sites are tree covered and only a few will be good for roof satellite call in advance to try to reserve one. There are a number of over the air channels. Carry out dishes may work in the first or last rows with some luck. Nice pool. Lots of grass for the dogs. There are walking trails to the rear of the campground but would use OFF for buggies. RR noise and traffic did not bother us. Our site was long enough for our 35' Class A and toad with room to spare. Site are gravel, may board to level due to some depressions left by tires. Good place for an overnight stop. Have stayed here several times in the past and always found the campground hosts nice and friendly. They will also lead you to your site and make it easier for you to get in to some of sites. - wtravlr1

Off the road a bit, but worth it. Very friendly staff. While the spots are a bit close together, there are abundant trees providing shade. The sites are reasonably level.
Nice pool, good wifi. - Impkitti

We stayed here in the very depth of winter during a three day snowstorm. This campground is about 15 minutes from Galesburg, IL. We were glad to find this place at this time of year with full hookups! The park manager was very kind and accommodating - even when the water froze and he had to come out and dig it up. The pipe froze underground and he had to dig it up, bit it was fixed in less than half an hour. The road was plowed each day. We were the only campers out here, and the bathroom facilities were closed for the winter so can't speak to that. Not much to do here in the winter, but we enjoyed the quiet and the hills were great for kids sledding. The interior roads seem tight but we easily maneuvered our 35 ft motorhome. The place looks like it's been there awhile. There are some pieces of heavy equipment there by the Office and it won't pass as a resort spot, but nothing really objectionable. There were several large 5th wheels there - looked like folks came and went throughout the year (in good repair). Do not use your GPS directions to find this place - call and get directions! It's easy to find and just a few miles from I-74 but the roads have been changed and renamed in the area and the GPS directions are way off. We would go back. - Joann26
Oct 2015 - $7.00
A seasonal site only now for one year $1300. Gated community, weekend activities, family oriented, good fishing, lots of fun, 2 lakes, 3 ponds, paved roads and very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely stay another year. - Pat51
Jun 2013 - $15.00
Once you get into the campground, everything was fine. However, getting there is not convenient off the highway and you have travel over gravel dirt roads to get there. Directions are very confusing. Thank goodness there were some signs to follow. Our coach and toad were covered in dust by the time we got parked. No pull-thrus for overnights, so you do have to disconnect. We would not come back, but not because of the campground itself but the wear and tear on the coach getting in and out on the access roads. - Labrador Fan
Jun 2013 - $30.00
Noisy (until 10 pm), smoky, and muddy. Lakes are nice, but most camp sites are seasonal. Not well suited for short stays. - ANelson
