A nice little park in the middle of an Illinois corn field. There are trees, a pond, playground, tent sites and about 24 pull-through RV sites. The entrance and sites are gravel – not all are level front to back and across. To exit, you pull through your site onto the grass field around the back of other sites to the gravel road out. That is the only drawback for us because it RAINED and RAINED the 3 days before we left. That made the field very soggy. We and the owner determined that to drive across the field was not the best route out. Luckily, we had an empty site directly across and behind our rig. The owners’ staff assisted us with our exit so that any damage to the grass was minimal. Proximity to the location for the movie: Groundhog Day, Woodstock’s town square and environs, was a plus, as well. - zen_letitbe

This is a funky little campground set well off the road on a family farm. The pull through sites look like back in sites at first glance, but the idea is to pull in and face a large lawn area which is used to pull out. Staff is very friendly, the park is quiet, with a fair proportion of seasonal campers. There is a swimming/fishing pond, table and fire ring at each site, and decent room between sites. Wi-Fi works well, but there is a $2 daily fee for Wi-Fi. The park is close enough to Chicago for antenna TV reception. Some of the overnight sites may require a bit of work to level your rig, but I've seen worse. We would stay here again. - DrLewie
Jun 2011 - $33.00
This is a small family owned campground positioned on a 100+ acre farm. It is clean and well maintained. Although the spaces between sites is small, it has a beautiful little swimming lake and has lots of open space around it. It is set back from the road by a long lane. It is busy on the weekends with family campers, but during the week is very tranquil. The manager is very accommodating and helpful. Woodstock is a very quaint small town (the movie Ground Hog Days was filmed there) with a large Wal-Mart, and a town square. There was good Wi-Fi and we got an excellent Verizon signal on our cellphone. There is an small charge for Wi-Fi and electricity if you are on the weekly rate. - sunbadgers

We stayed over Labor Day weekend so it was busy... but it was still pretty quiet and relaxing. Met the new manager and he is a very nice guy, and the staff was very friendly! Just a month after this campground flooded, it is in very good shape. We will definitely go here again. - Rono214
Jun 2017 - $15.00
Very nice and quite large park. Signs said under new management and there's a fair amount of construction & renovation going on. Very friendly at the office. We only stayed an overnight while on the way to Minneapolis, but really liked the place. - Walt Bennett
May 2016 - $18.00
We made reservations the day before, the person sais they would leave a packet out since we would be arriving after 2 pm. When we arrived there was no packet but the gate was open to let school buses in, so we drove in. After we drove to the other end of the park we met a very nice man that said would help us. He called a woman and then led us to an Electric only site {we reserved a full hook up pull thru]. We told him we needed the full hook up site, another call to the woman and we received what we had reserved. The next morning when we were leaving at 10 am the gate was closed but were able to get out since it had a sensor. Stopped at office for receipt and office closed with no hours posted.
The park is mostly permanent and seasonal and seems to be well kept up. - 210george

While the staff was friendly and showers and bathrooms were clean, the campground itself is very tight. We have a 27' TT and it was very tight navigating the turns. There was another fender bender when we were there, its very tight, while some of the lots are very deep they are very narrow and hard to back into. I did not see any water hook ups, our site did have electric but not all of them do. There were a lot of tent campers which this park I think is designed for. The playground is a pretty good walk but is very nice. There is a beach but I would be very leery about taking kids as it is right on a main road through town. - thegermans
Jun 2016 - $57.00
We were SUPER frustrated with this place most of the time we were there. There ARE some good things about this place, so I'll start with those. Most of the sites are HUGE, like CRAZY huge which is great. Most of them are also heavily wooded which makes them nice and private, which is also good. Proximity to the beach is great, for the most part. It's a pretty solid hike from the campground to the beach. Took me about 15-20 minutes at a normal pace. So, that's about the extent of the good. On to the bad: The woman who checked us in was awful. One of these "all about barking out the rules, even though you didn't ask or have any intention of violating any of them" kind of people. ZERO personality. There was a guy there who was much nicer and seemed to be sympathetic to the treatment I was getting but seemed powerless to make corrections even though he was the one carrying the gun. :) The roads are paved but REALLY tight. I have a 35 foot RV and I'm REALLY glad we didn't tow the car this time. It was like a slalom course trying not to scrape trees on the road side (trade off for the nice wooded sites I know, but just say'n). I felt like I was trail blazing also with all the branches and limbs smacking my RV the whole way in and out. Only SOME sites have power, and are completely random as to which ones they are, so pay CLOSE attention when you book if you need that. The entire situation seems like its setup to discourage trailers/RVs (based on our experience and watching someone try to back in a 35 foot trailer - whew... I wanted to give that guy a beer when he finally got it parked, but alcohol isn't allowed in the park, so a thumbs-up sufficed). Although getting into many of the sites is REALLY hard, the sites themselves are HUGE. The showers are only open from 7am to 11pm which is frustrating, especially in the morning. So forget the early bird showers to beat the rush. Fire pits are rusted out and bent up but sufficient. That's all I got. - Brian Holmes
Oct 2011 - $29.00
Staying in a Wisconsin state park is like ordering from an a-la-carte menu: there are so many choices and add-owns that registration takes concentration. The park has 100 sites, but only 15 or 20 have electric service. Water is available at the dump station but nowhere else in the park. Sites were often shallow and consisted of piled gravel for a pad. Our site was damp once we stepped off the gravel pad. The road through the park is very narrow and the trees are close; we do not think the park is suitable for large rigs. This is an urban park, surrounded by residential areas plus the local high school. We were disappointed by the excessive charges imposed on non-residents ($10 daily access fee, $2 extra charge for the site, $5 extra for electricity--$29 total for each night), but the location is very good for visiting Lake Geneva. During our stay there were hardly any other campers staying in the park, even over the weekend. When in the area again, we will probably grit our teeth and stay again. - Jay Rutherford

Its all about location this park is the closest to our son's house that has full hookups - this is mostly a permanent and seasonal park with only a few transient sites We had a huge pull through site with a clear shot for our satellite dish on top of the MH - rr2254545
Aug 2017 - $31.00
We staued here for two weeks in our motor home - the site was very long I coudld have got 3 cars on my site - several 45 ft motor homes where also there in the two weeks. I had a full hook up site but did not use the available wifi - pool was very clean and manager cleaned it every morning Yes there are some of the old manufactured homes in disrepair but there are a vast majority of sites with well kept pristine sites I had not trouble with trees and I think that reported problem has been corrected We will be using this campground again. - rr2254545
Sep 2016 - $42.00
The park is 9 miles from Hwy 43 and is just 1.5 miles from Lake Geneva. The park has mostly seasonal and full-time residences with 6 sites for over nighters. The check-in person was pleasant and helpful. Our site was gravel and grass and partly shaded but slightly unleveled. We stayed two nights and would return again. - alm

May 2012 - $25.00
There is a pool but they don't fill it. There is a playground but it's old and missing boards. There is a "kids barn" with activities which was a plus, but this is not a family friendly campground. The noise level is ridiculous & the seasonal campers are bad examples of how campers should behave. There are rules, but none seem to be enforced. There were many unleashed dogs, tons of people in the river when the rules state "no swimming in the river", there is a curfew for teenagers, but there were roving packs of them everywhere at all hours of the night, and there are quiet hours that everyone seems to ignore. We had to complain twice about the noise after quiet hours and to the owners credit, they did come out and take care of the loud people. The fact that anyone would loudly blast music at 1 AM and think that's OK, is ridiculous. This campground has a lot of potential, but you can tell that they just don't spend money on it. Everything needs remodeling and painting. The roads need paving and the bathrooms and showers need lots of work. Many of the toilets were clogged all weekend. The showers were old and we couldn't regulate the temp on any of them. It went from screaming hot to freezing cold within seconds. If you like to party and not be bothered with rules, then this is the place for you. If you want to camp with your family in a nice quiet campground, with nice facilities, then this is not the place for you. - MeMee4
Aug 2009 - $38.00
Nice sized campsites here. The catch and release ponds were nice; but the bathrooms leave something to be desired. People were frendly and our stay was quiet. Overall we had a nice time. - Bob & laurel
May 2009 - $38.00
Overall a positive experience. Gravel roads mean dusty conditions. Restrooms were not real clean but usable, campers can handle them. Very difficult dump station access. We didn't use it, luckily. Staff was very helpful and friendly. - tauerbach

Only stayed overnight. Think this park is overpriced for 30 amp gravel inner roads with repairs needed. Grass/dirt sites. Next time passing through we will find another place to stay. - milodog
Jul 2016 - $1.00
This park caters to leasees, only 20 sites available to 1000 Trail travelers, but the properties are very well maintained and the "regulars" were super friendly. We stayed over the 4th of July holiday and they had great activities (a live band) and BBQ. The fireworks rivaled some municipal displays I've seen. They have a nicely maintained pool and lots of space for kids to run although there is an expansion coming. - amarie
Jun 2016 - $20.00
If you are traveling through like us, this is a great option. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The park is huge and they have a very nice, large pool. It's a nice park... however.
You are not at a campground, you are more like in a neighborhood of trailers 5th wheels. This is not a reflection on the staff or the park. Unfortunately thousand trails is trying to sell, sell, sell spots. I get it but it changes the feel of the place. It's too bad because the park is well laid out. We walked the park and the park is FULL but no one is here. We got one of the last spots remaining for the night and we were here mid week. I will say one of the downers was when I was cooking dinner I went inside and when I came back out there was a cat on my picnic table checking out what I was cooking. Like I said, it's a neighborhood. Nice park, nice people, but not really a campground. - scruggsfamilyRV

Tight entrance to park. Park is on the small side. Site 115 required 3 pads on front right tire to level without tire coming off ground: in other words sewage line (for my coach) had to run up hill. All staff was very friendly. Long pull thru sites. Was quiet at night. Very family oriented. - RVStudent
Aug 2017 - $70.00
The price does not reflect the value, its too high. $45 sb the cost. Road coming in is too tight for 2 rigs to pass, make sure there's nothing coming the other way going in or out. Sites are a bit too tight, we had to move a picnic table and fire pit to get out. Staff is very friendly. Water is a problem here, do NOT drink it! Apparently Illinois has this problem state wide. Wifi was very good, one of the better parks. Water pressure only around 40 PSI. Gravel roads and sites. I'd look elsewhere if I came through again. - North America in 90 days
Aug 2017 - $54.00
A KOA that is close to Chicago. When checking in, the office is on the opposite site of the building. Escort to site. There is a entrance gate, and a deposit for the key card. Roads are gravel and a bit narrow but not a problem. Escort to site. We were in 109 found water pressure drop to 20 lbs at peak times (park full). Site 109 not satellite friendly. Many sites are satellite friendly. Also many shaded sites. Site are gravel and mostly level. Sites 112-115 may need a board under front to level. Sites 101-104 and 109-110 are side pull throughs next to grass field, great if you have a dog, and satellite friendly (not 109). Not all sites have 50 amp. or sewers. No park cable. Park has many activities for kids. Nice pool, game room, volleyball, horseshoes, mini golf, and more. Many planned activities for children on weekends. Bring bug repellent, for mosquitos. Verizon and T-Mobile signals good. Wifi in park mostly unusable. Park has nice cabins and tent areas. K-9 fenced in park. Park is very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would stay here again. - wtravlr1

Sep 2017 - $40.00
All the negative reviews are spot on. They advertise WiFi and cable, neither of these actually work. The owner is not friendly at all. Owner cares about money. Recently increased their prices. They do the minimal amount of upkeep. Roads need to be redone, along with the actual sites. Trees are out of control and need to be trimmed, a rain storm came through and trees damaged RVs. The office staff and owners do not care about the people camping only about how much money they can get. The picnic tables are old and falling apart. The water is awful! It stained our sinks orange, and their showers are stained from the water too. It smells of rust and rotten eggs. Definetly not what water should smell like. I'd highly reccomend staying elsewhere - OnTheRoadAgain30
Aug 2017 - $65.00
Do not waste your money or time with this park. We were seasonal for six years. the roads are horrible. All of them need repair and none of them are getting it. Electric doesn't work on many sites, the owner will tell you she will fix it but never does. There is a mound of asphalt (used) on the area the call the island. Been there three years we were told it was to repair the roads, but has not been moved or used for this at all. As far as I am concerned a health hazard, first for the chemicals, second for the injuries that can happen when kids play on it. The water is not clean as it used to be. Has so much floating goose poop that you cannot swim in it safely. The rec hall where activities use to be held has bad order like mold and our whole family would have reactions after spending time in there. They advertise free Wi-Fi and cable. However, Wi-Fi and cable does not work. When you mention this you are told that they are not going to fix it anymore. She advertises activities, and this year notified everyone that there will be no activities. They overcharge for electric also. They do not maintain any of the grounds. Signs break and they leave them. Playground breaks and they leave it. They do not put any money into this place and if you need to discuss anything with the owner, she hides and doesn't return calls or anything. When people move into the seasonal sites, she charges the people extra money if there is a deck or concrete pad. Don't get the site with the nice deck and shed. That is the one we had with no power. I would never recommend this RV Park to anyone. When we moved in six years ago we had high hopes for it and we were told so many things were going to be improved, however nothing was done. When there was the flood due to high rains, the water to the campers was infected with sewage water. Everything was backed up and well water for people to use was bad. No one had notified anyone of this. - happy campers 1
Jul 2017 - $50.00
If there was another RV park, use it instead of this one. Seriously, by far the worst Wi-Fi and TV ever! Even after calling them, they said they would reboot the router. Nothing improved! Secondly, the "free" cable is analog! Come on people, analog is so outdated. Very snowy and not worth trying to watch. Off air channels were much better. There was a recent 6" rainfall and a bunch of sites are unusable. I wish we would have used a nearby campground instead or had continued our stay at a park in Volo, IL. Interior roads are in need of some serious repair. I'm sorry but I have nothing really great to say about this so called overpriced "resort". People were nice in office but if you use a computer (and who doesn't) or like digital cable, then stay elsewhere because you won't be happy staying at Lehmans. Lots of long term campers. - HillCountryRV0128

Feb 2018 - $20.00
Snow camping at it's finest. - only electric available. We needed an overnight stop on the way to warmer weather. There had been recent snowstorm in the area so called ahead to make sure they would be open for camping. They confirmed they would be open and were in the process of plowing the roads. They explained the process for self-check in, that only one section would be open and that the entrance is off 173 (note that google maps is wrong). This is a huge park and the camping is quite a drive into the interior of the park. While the interior roads were plowed very well, the campsites were not. Other than a few folks walking their dogs, we were the ONLY people in this state park. Only 2 sites appeared to have been previously plowed. We were able to unhook our toad, shovel out the electric post and back into one site through 5" of snow. Oh well, nothing like making memories! - Nautical Wheelers
Aug 2017 - $27.00
Overall nice campground. Great site aside from neighbor who set up his tent on our site. It was close to showers and bathrooms which was great for our kids. There was a dumpster near by that we were worried about, but it went unnoticed. There was good separation (bushes and trees) between next site except at the very end, the tent next door went up less than 8 feet from our fire ring. We were just staying the night passing through, but would stay here again if in the area. - TDC
Jun 2017 - $25.00
A bargain at $25 including admission (all inclusive) with electric at site and convenient 2 lane dump station on the way out. Checkin was fast, I registered at reserveamerica ahead of time to speed up the process. This is a large park with paved bike trails, a lake, lots of different camping loops, and picnic areas. Only a few miles from Target and other stores. Raceway noise was not a big deal although one should be aware of the possibility of it occuring. Very convenient location. Friendly agent at front office. We shall return. - Todd Fogelberg
