1 Park near Le Roy, Illinois
Jun 2015 - $20.00
We stayed here in the middle of a very rainy period. The site we had was high and dry but many were lower and quite swampy. The drainage in the park needs work.
The roads through the park are nicely paved and the lake is very nice.
It was a nice place to stay but I don't think that we would go there again. - Charlie K

A nice well kept state park on a lake. Sites are gravel and mostly level. The map on line shows no pull through sites, but when we arrived we were directed to site F1 which is a pull through. Only 30 amp electric at the site. Had to fill up with water at one of the faucets scattered throughout the park. Campground hosts were friendly and very helpful. They told us the water was OK to drink, but had a bad taste due to iron. No problem, we drink bottled water. We would stay here again. - Tetrode

Nice older state park. Not the most big rig friendly but a few of the sites handle one OK. There are only about 6 sites that have 50amp service, the rest are 20 or 30amp. The restrooms and the showers were NOT clean, a pressure washer would work wonders. The spaces are not terribly level, they're gravel with grass growing in them. Lots of big trees with lots of shade. We stayed here while visiting friends in the area. - AstroDave
