Decent overnight CG. The pull throughs are long enough but very close together. There is no internet or cable. There is not a good place to sit outside as your neighbor is that close. What I liked was the acreage in front of your site which afforded a pastoral view. Great place to walk the dogs. Quiet with distant noise from highway. There is a driving range but I don't know if campers can use it. Ask. Golfers were using it this evening but I saw them drive up, not campers. There is grass between sites. Good Verizon signal. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.

Smooth gravel roads, plenty of room to maneuver, gravel sites, grass patio. Our site ran uphill slightly, rear tires barely stayed in contact with ground. Clean, well mowed, some sites satellite friendly, some not. OTA worked fine. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camped here for just an overnight. Got a good long pull through in the front. Water sewer and 50 amp. Sites were very narrow, the neighbors sewer was about 2 feet from our step. But served our purpose well. Military gets a $5 discount. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice midsize RV park, with several sections: an entryway row of sites (next to golf driving range) that are pretty close together, a larger middle loop (including several LONG pull-through sites), and a slightly "hidden" back loop (which is where we camped and what I would recommend) that is very private and quiet. Lots of open green space for dog walking, ball playing, drone flying (two of us had them when I was there), or other recreation.

This campground fills up quick during college football weekends, when the University of Illinois team is playing a home game in nearby Champaign-Urbana. We called about 10 days in advance and got one of the last few sites available.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and put a smile on my face every time I spoke to them! Price is a little high at $35/night, but all developed sites have full hookups. There appear to be several primitive sites that might cost less. We had guests come one evening, and there was no extra charge. Propane and camp store on site. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Village of Mahomet (surrounds the area) has a wide variety of parks, shopping, and restaurants. Champaign-Urbana, home of the University of Illinois, is about a 10-15 minute drive.

"Lake of the Woods" large county park is nearby, with fishing lake, trails, pavilions, and two golf courses.

4 units traveling together, just passing thru for a overnight stay. We had made reservations and 1 unit had trouble on the road. The management went out of her way meeting us at the office at 10PM to make sure that all units were parked correctly in the dark. Lot was spacious, mostly shady and gravel. This is a beautiful country campground.

We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place for an overnight stop. Convenient to the interstate but very quiet. Large grassy areas give a feeling of spaciousness and are great for walking dogs. Enjoyed our night there and will return when traveling through the area. They were full the night we were there so reservations are definitely recommended. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I called while on the road to see if there was a spot for an overnight with a pull thru, and was told to come on in. When we arrived the office was closed but a note was taped to the window for me telling me which site was ours and to just put the payment in the drop box. Easy Peasy. Nice easy in and out as the pull thrus are all in the front. Lot spacing was spacious ranging from sunny/open to some shade. Site surface was gravel with grass. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stay to the right as you enter this nicely spaced out campground. Overnighters stay up front in modest sized pull gravel pull throughs.
We received no map, no rules, no local info or TV channel listings. The interstate was out of site, but could be heard when the windows were open. The campground is located on a large property in a mixed residential area. There is a golf driving range out front and a large area in back for long-term RVers. Before pulling out in the morning, we saw 5 deer passing through the area. The sewer connection was located in the middle of the site and was higher than we'd like. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.

Three weeks on the road and this was one of the most pleasant campgrounds we stayed in. We just needed a place to pull into for one night as we headed home. We were in site 45 in the back - very private, lots of room to spread out and site was so level we were able to set up with no leveling aids. very pleasant staff. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

For an overnight stay, which is what we were looking for, this park is convenient to I-74 and not far from I-57. It is easy to get into and out of (we have a 38 ft motorhome and were towing a car). Staff (owner?) was friendly. They do not honor any discounts. We were in site #3, a pull thru in the front of the park. These pull thrus are all very narrow, and there are no picnic tables or fire rings. We would not have been able to put our awning out if we had wanted to. We like to sit outside, and there is a very large grassy area on both sides of the pull thru sites, so we just carried chairs and a small table the 40 ft or so to that area. The park was quiet except for interstate noise. We did not use the Wi-Fi or attempt TV reception. Bathrooms were clean, just old and tired looking. Our site was fairly level. We would stay here again for an overnight. The campground website appears to no longer be available. Sometimes that's a sign a park has gone out of business, but it appears they simply have not renewed the web site. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.

Has asphalt at the front with two speed bumps then the rest of the park gravel roads and sites. Stayed in site #1 in the pull-throughs in the front. Tight sites. Close to your neighbor. No room if you want your awning out. Best of all, no campfires. Was able to sleep with the windows open at night. Has Wi-Fi, but had to ask if they had it and for the password. No rules or map of park given. Was able to get a few channels on the antenna. Very easy in and out with our HDT and trailer (60 ft. combo) There are sites farther back that are back-ins and pull-throughs. Has fire rings. The farther back the louder the interstate. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice basic campground. Lots of shade trees, grounds kept very nice and it was quiet. Site was gravel and grass, very level, easy in and out. No groceries, no ice. Get ice at local station about 1/4 mile away. Nothing to do here but good place to stop for night or a couple of nights to rest. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here as a quick overnight. Park is just off I-74, and there is some road noise, but not terrible. Park has all gravel interior roads, which were rutted and full of water after a recent rain. Was given a "pull through" site, but was told I may want to back out as the field that you pull into is also soft from the recent rain. The site, however; is set up like a back in, with full hook-ups. It was fairly level but many of the sites were not level at all. Most sites had some shade. There are some very long pull-throughs. Power was good, did not connect to water; no Wi-Fi, but did get Verizon 4G. Looks like some migrant workers living here, but all were friendly, as was the owner. Sites were kept clean, and was the rest of the park. There was a dated playground and a driving range on site. Bath house was also dated but clean and well kept. Average campground, good for an overnight, would not be interested in staying longer. We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you are desperate for a place to stay, stay here, otherwise avoid this place! Pull throughs are grassy, no tables or fire rings and far from level. Thirty amp power supply kept tripping, poor water pressure, and the absolutely most RUDE camp host I have ever met! Made our reservations a week prior, but when we got there, she didn't write the reservations down so no reservation. Explanation was she was "too busy and never got around to it." Lots of highway noise. Would NEVER stay here again!! We camped at Tincup RV Park in a Motorhome.
