This is a very small campground, RV sites are so close your picnic table is almost on top of your neighbors sewage dump. (IMO) for a quick pit stop it's ok. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for a week and half and visited friends in the area. We enjoyed the stay and was very pleased with the way the park was taken care of. You can sit outside day or night and you hardly hear any noise from interstate 57. They have a large pet walk area and they even provide poo bags in case you forget yours. Management is very friendly and accommodating. All in all a very pleasant stay for wife and I. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night on our way to Colorado, this is a good RV park with a nice setting. It is close to the Interstate and train, but the noise level is minimal. Cable worked well, didn't use the WiFi. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are some larger sites for people staying more than a night or two. Over nighters are pretty close but ok. The park has lots of beautiful trees and shade. There is a very nice playground and dog walk area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice gravel & level sites. Pull thru and back in sites. Very easy on/off I-57. No noticeable highway noise. Cable was fair/poor but employee stated they had a blowout not long ago and were working to fix. Didn't use wifi. A really clean campground for travelers. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Close to Interstate but no noise in the campground, unless you hear the trains that go by several times each day. Not a lot of there here but it's good for a couple of days. The WiFi is okay but according to the Office they had a lightning strike and it did a number on their cable. All stations were snowy. A large on-leash dog area for the fuzzy kids was good. Not likely to return here but that's us. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We haven't been here in a couple years, but this park continues to be a good overnight stop in southern Illinois. Most (maybe 2/3) of the sites are pull though while the rest are back-ins. All are FHU with decent cable TV and Wi-Fi that worked OK for us. There are lots of trees, so the number of satellite friendly sites is limited. There is no pool, but there is a playground and open pavilion. The bathrooms and a laundry are in the office building and seemed adequate for this small park. I saw no recycling. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 1 night while traveling with a 45 foot coach towing. Easy in and out and easy maneuverability within the park without unhooking the towed. A little road noise from I-57. Poor wifi. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small park with good shade, full service, level sites and friendly staff. Close proximity to the Interstate but noise is not a problem. Our original plan was to stay 4 nights and tour southern IL. When removing the cover from the windshield I fell and broke my left heel. We stayed an additional 9 nights until our son could fly us and drive us home. Park only charged us $100 for extra nights. They had a handicap shower which came in handy We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Narrow road to the park and a difficult turn getting into it due to a sunken drain grate that was marked with a traffic cone. Narrow sites and just long enough for our 45' bus and toad. I had to ask my next door neighbour to move a vehicle so we could leave and not drive off the gravel as it had rained overnight and I didn't want to damage any grass areas. It was difficult to make the turn and keep off the grass. Ok park for an overnight stay and easy access to the interstate. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stopped here on the way to Florida, in the winter! Open year-round. Had a few sites with water (heat tape and insulated) but we didn't need that. Excellent after hours check in process. Easy access and nice easy pill throughs. Just parked, slept and paid at 7 am at the office. No pool or many amenities. Has laundry room. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

As other reviews indicate, this is a good RV park with a nice setting. It is close to the Interstate but the noise level is minimal. The individual bathrooms are very clean and all utilities function well including the Wi-Fi. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We only stayed one night. It is a small campground with lots of grass and a big playground. The back in-sites are very spacious. The lady running it is very nice and goes out of her way for her guests. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We got turned around trying to find the park. It is right off the freeway. You turn left at Casey's Gas Station which is across the from the VA Medical Center. It was a perfect place to spend the night.

This is a small park east of the interstate at exit 53 (not 54 where the GPS takes you). Traveling north or south, exit and turn left. Seventh Street is the first street east of the Interstate. The park has gravel roads and sites. Some sites are more spacious than others. Power in the park is average and the water pressure is good. Verizon phone service is good as is their free park Wi-Fi. They have a dog area, but it is not fenced. When we were here, only a few dogs used the area. Most of the park is shaded by large trees. Most of the open sites where a satellite would work, are occupied by full-timers. We would return to this location. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.
