We stayed one night. We were one of 2 rigs in our area. If there were full hookup sites, we missed them. We had a 30 amp pull- through that was not level but plenty long. We had no water or sewer. There was a pump and pit toilet nearby. I think this would be a fine spot to stay if you are interested in the Latter Day Saints (Mormon) sights to see. For an overnight it worked well too. I believe one can make reservations which would help find those full hookup sites mentioned in another review. And the drive out of here into Keokuk along the river was great. We camped at Nauvoo State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wonderful State Park. Very pleasant, wooded sites, and kept very clean, mowed, and well cared for. A small town full of a lot of Mormon history as well as Mormon historical sights. It was all very interesting and free. There is a Hotel Nauvoo Buffet nearby with wonderful food, although a bit pricey for buffet. We stayed an entire weekend before moving onto Missouri and it was just pleasant all around. We would return here for sure. Highly recommend this state park! We have loved this park for years, especially camping in a stand of pines. But there were always two problems: they did not take reservations, and had no showers. Both situations have been remedied, and we sure enjoyed the shade of those pines this hot, hot summer! Sites can be tight, and many not quite level, due to the terrain. Very few sites can accommodate truly big rigs, but a couple can. A few improvements have been made recently, including some new concrete pads for accessible sites, and new concrete-floored pit toilets (big improvement over the old ones). The park is close to the many historic sites in town, which makes it pretty popular during July & August. Would happily stay here again. We camped at Nauvoo State Park in a Travel Trailer.

There are only a dozen or so treeless pads with full hookups for RVs here, so make reservations. This is a fine place to stay while you are seeing the sights but it is not a "destination" park. Don't be looking for the swimming pool or general store. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Nauvoo State Park in a Motorhome.

We camped here for 1 night while visiting the historic town of Nauvoo. The campground is a short bike ride from most of the village but a little to far to walk. I must dispute that it holds 120 campsites. I would say 30 to 40 & that would be crowded. This campground has not been updated in years & is more suited for tents and pop ups. Taking the turns & fitting in with our 31 footer was a challenge. Fortunately the grounds were pretty empty on a weekday. We did not see a ranger the entire time we were there to collect any fees. Camping is 15 dollars for Illinois residents and 20 for all others. We left a check in a slot, could have been the garbage for all I know. However, the bathrooms were very clean. This state park is used primarily by the Latter Day Saints church families visiting Nauvoo & as such is a nice place for a group camping gathering. We camped at Nauvoo State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice state park under a canopy of huge pine trees. We've been there twice and were always able to get our 32' motorhome in with no problem. Our new 40' rig might present a problem. The park is located just up the hill from the old Nauvoo Mormon Settlement. Be sure to spend the day here. I rate the park a 6 simply because it has next to no amenities. It's for campers who can entertain themselves and enjoy nature along with a bit of history. We camped at Nauvoo State Park in a camper.
