This is an older KOA and very expensive. The Quad Cities do not have many private campgrounds and the other (Interstate in Davenport) is also expensive. This is adequate for short stays. Roads are quite narrow. If this campground were full, everyone would be very close, and driving the roads would be a challenge. There are a couple of lakes here and the campground is in the trees so the light industry in the area is not visible. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wonderful park, lovely sites with a big pond, cement pads with fire pits, table and grass between sites. The pool seemed small for the number of guests that they seem to have, but it sure was popular! They have a nice snack bar with pizza, ice cream and other treats, which is nice too. Everything (laundry, etc) is kept real clean. Never could get on to their WiFi. Cable was OK, not great. Location etc. worked well for us. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If your into it, the Rock Island Arsenal is quite something (be sure and bring ID), we enjoyed touring the John Deere Harvester plant, and the town of LeClaire is near, so went to see the store Antique Archaeology from the TV Show American Pickers. They also have a small museum about Buffalo Bill who was from there.

Our second stay at this KOA. Check in was quick and pleasant, we were escorted to our site. We did not use the facilities, as this was a stop on our trip. Easy to find, easy in and out. We would stay here again. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, especially the activities director Robin. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and the campground was pretty full but not packed. We played putt-putt golf; an older "course" but still fun. We swam quite a bit in the pool which was clean and popular. We had wanted to fish in one of the ponds but never got around to it. There are some comments about the staff being sticklers on one point or another (no rugs, quiet time, no outside wood, car tags) and they were somewhat strict but only want to ensure campers are abiding by the rules so that all can have a safe and enjoyable visit. We did hear the train come through once, just after quiet time (at 10 pm) and it was VERY loud; I think the tracks are directly across the street from the campground. But that was the only time we heard the train. They've done some recent upgrades to the park, new tent sites near the pond, jumping pillow, motorcycle tent area which was cute with cauldron-style fire pits, new fenced-in dog park area. Overall nice KOA. Our site was a very spacious pull-thru end site with plenty of room for our puppy and for us to spread out and build a nice campfire. Firepit was large. Our picnic table was old and had been painted with indoor latex paint (not stained or covered in outdoor paint); it was kind of yucky so we didn't use it at all. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We're donut snobs and try to find a good family-owned shop whenever we travel. Check out Donut Delights in Moline. We rolled in just about at closing time (1 pm that Sunday) and ordered a dozen donuts. They packed our box with tons of extra donuts! The bacon donut was incredible; I had never had one before but will definitely try it again. We also visited Whitey's ice cream in Rock Island. So many flavors to choose from and will for sure visit again when we're in the area.

Easy access from the 280. A little bit narrow but very doable. Helper showed us to our site. Site was fairly level back-in, concrete pad, concrete patio with grassy area, patio table & chairs, fire ring. Full hook-ups were easily accessible. Cable & wi-fi good. We enjoyed pool and hot tub. Lots of fun activities for kids - trampoline, hay ride, outdoor movie. Lakes on site for fishing, kayaks, etc. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Located in an industrial area and between two lakes where fishing and boating are permitted. Fairly quiet in evening and night.

Large site, but could use some upkeep to enhance leveling and avoid water pools during rain storms. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

long level gravel sites. The interior roads have a few pot holes and is a bit tight for bigger rigs. Clean restrooms. There are many seasonal or long-term sites but they are in a separate area from the short term sites. Adequate for an overnight stay. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight, as it is convenient to the motorway. Note - our GPS did not have the correct location and we had to call for directions. I suspect this happens fairly frequently. The check-in was great and we were guided to our site. Site was a long, level concrete pad, with well located services. Wi-Fi was good. Roads are generally in good repair. They have a great off-leash dog area at the edge of the property. They have all the usual KOA amenities. We would return to this campground. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first time at this park. We camped here over Memorial Day weekend and the park was completely full but we never felt like it was that busy. Very quiet park. Exceptionally well kept and clean! Very friendly staff! Owners were present every day and very involved with the park and you could tell by how well everything was kept up. We will definitely be back, in fact we made our next reservation before we left! We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.
