Very expensive for a gravel pull through site. As most KOAs the sites are very close together. Trees need to be trimmed. Wouldn't return. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

My experience here has not been very favorable. I showed up early in order beat some rain and was sent away. I was told that check in was at 2 o'clock with NO exceptions. The place was empty! They told me to drive over to the casino and sit there until the correct time. Definitely not a friendly place. When I returned they put me in a nice quiet spot which was away from LOTS of kids and parties (lot 22) but $68 for a gravel pull thru with an old picnic table? Streets are wide and easy to navigate. If you have kids it is probably a great place. Don't show up before 2:00!! We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night in a pull-through FHU site. The sites are gravel and can rut so aren't necessarily level. We had to level up one side of the RV. Where we were able to park with our RV + towed car, we couldn't reach the sewer connection so in the morning we had to go around and pull closer before dumping out. We reserved online by the KOA app and arrived after hours to find that the posted rate the the campground was lower, however in the morning they said they couldn't adjust the rate since we reserved online. What? Why don't they use their "real" rates online with KOA? The dog walking area is right along the major roadway and isn't fenced (if there's a fenced area back in the trees somewhere, I didn't find it). It appears to have a nice pool and playground for when the weather is warmer. Call for reservation to make sure the online rate isn't above their on-site rate. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Very large resort type KOA. Lots of summer family activities but pretty quiet in Nov. seasonal and year round residents in section away from short term guests. Ponds for fishing and lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed here for one night in a pull-through site. The roads are a little narrow, but they escort you to your site, so it's not a problem. We had no one on either side of us, so it seemed more spacious than it probably really is. Nice tall trees provide a nice look and some shade. All of our utilities worked well. We would come here again for a quick stop. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice campsite, easy in and out, very friendly employees. We won't be staying again as campground lets people from town use the pool for $5.00 a day. We came during the week to avoid crowds and could not get into the pool for 2 days due to all non-campers in the pool. Parking lot by pool was full of vehicles with white pool car passes. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed on a Saturday night; one night stop over. The ladies in the office are wonderful, friendly and nice as can be. Although a pull-thru was not available, we were put on a back-in on a concrete pad! Great site for a small site, but the coach fit perfectly and it was easy to park and plenty of room leaving! Bushes behind us so the neighbors could not be nosey, kind of quiet for as many kids that were there. So, yes, we'd stop here again. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice Park. Ok Big rig access. I reserved this site through the KOA web Site did not see the buton "Campground specials". Stayed Sunday Night until Thursday morning. Paid for 4 nights. The Campground special is stay Sunday through Wednesday and Tuesday is free, However you can not get this special unless you input the special code in the website or mention it on the phone when you make the reservation. If you pay without mentioning the special they will not give it to your after the fact. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an older KOA and very expensive. The Quad Cities do not have many private campgrounds and the other (Interstate in Davenport) is also expensive. This is adequate for short stays. Roads are quite narrow. If this campground were full, everyone would be very close, and driving the roads would be a challenge. There are a couple of lakes here and the campground is in the trees so the light industry in the area is not visible. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Good: Had a lot of things for kids to play on. Fishing in the lake was great (nothing was biting, but the kids enjoyed it).

Pool, playgrounds, jump pad were all great.

Not so good: Campground rules are not clear. No rugs on grass, must park in gravel. Sites are narrow and close together. The $5 per person day fee for visitors is a bit much.

Activities were posted, but no one came around to tell us or invite us to the posted activities.

Not one of our favorite KOA's but we were in town visiting family, so it worked out. Probably wouldn't go back if there was another campground near by. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Wonderful park, lovely sites with a big pond, cement pads with fire pits, table and grass between sites. The pool seemed small for the number of guests that they seem to have, but it sure was popular! They have a nice snack bar with pizza, ice cream and other treats, which is nice too. Everything (laundry, etc) is kept real clean. Never could get on to their WiFi. Cable was OK, not great. Location etc. worked well for us. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If your into it, the Rock Island Arsenal is quite something (be sure and bring ID), we enjoyed touring the John Deere Harvester plant, and the town of LeClaire is near, so went to see the store Antique Archaeology from the TV Show American Pickers. They also have a small museum about Buffalo Bill who was from there.

Friendly staff, especially the activities director Robin. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and the campground was pretty full but not packed. We played putt-putt golf; an older "course" but still fun. We swam quite a bit in the pool which was clean and popular. We had wanted to fish in one of the ponds but never got around to it. There are some comments about the staff being sticklers on one point or another (no rugs, quiet time, no outside wood, car tags) and they were somewhat strict but only want to ensure campers are abiding by the rules so that all can have a safe and enjoyable visit. We did hear the train come through once, just after quiet time (at 10 pm) and it was VERY loud; I think the tracks are directly across the street from the campground. But that was the only time we heard the train. They've done some recent upgrades to the park, new tent sites near the pond, jumping pillow, motorcycle tent area which was cute with cauldron-style fire pits, new fenced-in dog park area. Overall nice KOA. Our site was a very spacious pull-thru end site with plenty of room for our puppy and for us to spread out and build a nice campfire. Firepit was large. Our picnic table was old and had been painted with indoor latex paint (not stained or covered in outdoor paint); it was kind of yucky so we didn't use it at all. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We're donut snobs and try to find a good family-owned shop whenever we travel. Check out Donut Delights in Moline. We rolled in just about at closing time (1 pm that Sunday) and ordered a dozen donuts. They packed our box with tons of extra donuts! The bacon donut was incredible; I had never had one before but will definitely try it again. We also visited Whitey's ice cream in Rock Island. So many flavors to choose from and will for sure visit again when we're in the area.
