Very nice park, clean and well maintained. Despite having quite a few trees, it is open and big rig friendly. There are several different sections of the park and lots of areas to walk around. Small cabins for rent as well. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.
Nearby state park, river.

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Easy access, long pull-throughs, large site even for the larger rigs. Well maintained gravel roads. Excellent utilities and and Wi-Fi. Verizon also excellent. Bathrooms and public areas spotless. Highway noise is minimal. Lots of grass to walk pets. Very friendly owners. We will stay here again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Large park but comes up a little short on bathrooms and showers as well as other amenities. 1 pool for the size but overall a clean park. Was not given the wifi password on arrival so we did not use it. Staff was friendly but there are other CG choices in the area that were better for us. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Easy off of I-80 at exit 81. Near Starved Rock State park and the town of Peru where there are many stores for shopping. Very nice campground and very nice people in the office. We will stay here again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a very well maintained campground with helpful and friendly staff at check in. Good access from 1-80. Interior roads are gravel. We had a concrete pad which was long level and pull-through, but most of the sites are gravel. Big rig access was good. Fairly quiet but there was some road noise. Some privacy, shade trees, plenty of grass, barbecue, fire ring, picnic table, and plenty of space for our towed so no need to unhook if you are there for just one night. The grounds were very pretty and very well maintained, there is also a lovely pool. The bathrooms were clean and modern, and the laundry was clean but a little too small for the size of the campground. Pet friendly with lots of places to walk your pet. Wi-Fi and cell were good. Food stores, good restaurants and plenty of sightseeing are close by. The downtown historic district in Utica is well worth a visit, lovely old shops and houses, well loved and cared for. We would stay here again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a very nice park with a couple of minor quirks. Sites are nicely spaced, easy in/out with both concrete and gravel level pull-throughs and back-ins. Many sites are satellite friendly. Two quirks. Their rules hit me as a little on the overbearing side, especially concerning visitors and late check out. And they almost make you take an oath not to use your own Wi-Fi in the park as they believe it interferes with the park Wi-Fi (very unlikely). Well, the park Wi-Fi was very weak so you don't really have a choice. Both Verizon and AT&T had good signals. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We stayed here 2 years ago and returned this summer for an overnight stop on our trip across country. Access to the campground is easy from I-80 and the campground, itself, is easy to maneuver. Interior roads and sites are white gravel and they have long, level, roomy pull-thrus which served our fifth wheel well. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The laundry room was clean but small for the size of the campground. The store has basic essentials but is sparsely stocked. Cell service and wi-fi reception was excellent. The price quoted is the Passport America rate. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This was a perfect campground for a one night stop on our way back home. This campground was conveniently situated near I-80 exit. The people at the office are nice. Our site, completely at the end of the campground, was a very long and leveled pull-through. It was also very large and clean. We enjoyed a nice evening outside. Even if we were as far as you can be in this campground from the Interstate, the noise from it was really present. But it didn't bother us. We would definitely stop here on our way to somewhere again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a Passport America rate. This is just a huge, lovely campground, all amenities worked perfectly. The grounds are kept nicely. They have additional camping up a small hill and it is very nice as well, again very well taken care of and grass! First rate operation. Ladies at the desk, polite and responsive. The overnight sites seem to be in the front and probably closer together than the rest of the sites, but still very adequate (puts KOAs to shame imo). This is a campground done right and wish we could stay longer than 1 night. We will definitely return here on our travels for a longer stay. This is a very nice campground and a real bargain at Passport America rate. Sites are level and spacious with nice grass between. Very few long term residents. Easy access from I-80 but no noticeable traffic noise. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Rate is for Passport America. Loved this park. Our site was level and we were able to remain hooked up. Access from the freeway was easy and the noise was minimal. We had a nice pull-thru with grass, table and fire pit. Management was very friendly, water and power were good. But, as we are finding in so many places, WiFi was not very good and during the peak time there was none. There were a few permanent residents but they are in a different area and unless you take a walk you won’t even see them. The bathrooms and showers were clean. They have a beautiful tent area in the trees that made for good dog walking. We would visit again. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Easy to find off Rt. 80 with signs. It looks like they have done some work by pouring new, long concrete pads. There are trees to provide shade. Can barely hear traffic from Rt. 80. Has a pool. Very clean campground trimmed grass, newer clubhouse. Even though there is no cable, I pulled in 25 digital air stations with my power booster. The Wi-Fi signal was good. This has become a favorite place for us to stop en route when near I-80. Clean, quiet and very reasonable rate for Passport America. Everything from sites for tents to cottages to RV sites. Easy pull-through access. We were here twice in June en route. Very helpful at the front desk, steered us to a fantastic local restaurant in downtown. There are some restrictions with Passport America and varies on rates depending. We have a 40 ft RV and tow vehicle, and it was easy maneuvering here. Easy access from I -80. Friendly folks in the office. Inviting looking pool and attractive surroundings. Many sites are concrete pads. A bit of highway noise or I'd have rated a 10. Stayed overnight and would return. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
