Excellent stay, very clean, very quiet, nice park with lots of trees and big pet area. Well maintained, picnic table, level sites. Not many other rv parks were open in winter with full hookups and this place exceeded all my expectations, recommend! - DaCrazyCatLady
Mar 2018 - $45.00
We stayed here only one night. It is overpriced in my opinion, especially since it is off season, cold and raining. It had been raining for days and some sites were flooded since the park is on very flat ground. It is a clean park and all hookups worked well. The roads are easy to navigate and big rig friendly. It's best to go off the directions given on their website. If you plug the address into your GPS, you may have trouble getting there. It can be a bit confusing. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. - Honalee
Oct 2017 - $40.00
Beautiful little park. Easy on and off the big road and superb staff. We stayed for five nights to tour all things Lincoln. Easy to navigate through the park. I just followed the golf cart! Our site overlooked a huge farm field and was perfect. Great walking around the park for our dogs. Satellite hooked up and good Verizon signal. VERY convenient to Springfield and the tourist sites. - SHIPM8

We stayed a little over 3 weeks while on vacation back in the seasonal camper area. Gravel roads in campground, a little rough and had many potholes. Facilities were clean upfront in the general area, but the seasonal bathroom/shower area was lacking. Campers and owners were polite and fun, planned weekend events, music every other weekend. Only issue was owner was a little lax in his duties, paddle boats upside down in pond for days, fishing docks in ponds broken and sunk in water. Seasonals had to really get on him to get things done or fixed. We had our 30amp electrical outlet burn up and burn the end off a new cord, was without power, no air in 87 degree weather. Was told it would be a while before he could fix it. My husband is an electrician so, he gave us an outlet and we fixed it ourselves!! Customer service goes a long way is all I'm saying. - Princessmoo10
Jul 2013 - $38.00
Nice campground for seasonal units or weekend campers. Too far off of the interstate for overnight camping, and roads leading to campground are very narrow with little to no shoulder. Nice restroom facilities, trash around cabins/tent area, narrow roads. - araucanaman
Jun 2012 - $35.00
We were here for two days. This place was great! Very friendly people, very clean, and lots to do. It has no pool, but it has a super nice beach for swimming. - CMK2010

An adequate park for those wanting to explore Lincoln land, mostly given over to seasonal pipeline workers. The guy next to us had his car hood up and his gas tank removed all day. The park needs an overall cleanup/raking. Bath house was old and dark, but clean and functional. CATV excellent. - ebdavis

This KOA is 3 miles east of I-55 but feels much further due to all the turns it takes to get here. We liked that because it felt very remote while being convenient to all the Lincoln historic sites. Nice pool, mini golf, bounce pad, banana bikes and play ground make it a nice family park. Lots of shade and adequately sized sites. They were pouring concrete patios to create some new "deluxe" sites and were planning on bringing in patio swings for these sites as well. - jjones5996
Oct 2016 - $49.00
We stayed a weekend in October and it was very nice. Plenty of signs telling you where to go, even after we missed a turn (navigators fault) we were able to find our way again very easily. Not a huge campground, but still nice. A simple park but good enough for the kids to play around on. My kids LOVED the bikes and since the campground wasn't crowded they could ride the bikes everywhere safely. Restrooms were always clean. - RebaDee
Oct 2016 - $35.00
We stayed one night passing through the area. The park was several miles off of I-55 but the quietness of the campground was well worth it. This is an older campground, gravel sites, all of our utilities worked well. Our site had no shade trees, but that didn't matter for our one night stay. The directional signage from the south I-55 entrance was excellent, it would have been hard to find this campground without those. It is all paved roads to the campground, trees are kept trimmed back well to prevent hitting your camper. The one lane bridge was no problem to navigate. The owner was very helpful and friendly. - Arlen

Oct 2014 - $40.00
We pulled in to this campground on Sunday afternoon and there was no one to be seen. I called the phone number on the door and left a message. We parked in a pull through and later the son of the owner came by to accept our payment. He was very nice and apologized explaining that there had been a wedding the day before and he was up most of the night. The park is brand new, the sites are piles of gravel rolled fairly level. They are narrow and most are back in or drive in. There appears to be a nice playground for kids, and a pond in which to try your luck. The road in was just a little narrow and the roads around the park are very narrow for a big rig but we had no real difficulty. We would stop again next time through to see if things improve, as it appears they are trying to create a really nice park. - hutchi

Apr 2018 - $20.00
We stayed here in "off-season", mid-April. Campground is basically empty w/ only a few long-term (2+ yrs) residents. Park value is great @$20-25/night. Okay for brief stop to see area sights (there's not another campground close by, otherwise, we would have left.) We called Security to check in and allowed to pick our own site. Overall park is clean and spacious; water not on due to cold weather but accessible in the Handicap section. Our site D1 was filthy due to a former resident who'd moved to another site. Attempts to get him to cleanup were futile. Same resident let his dog run the area off leash, and again, multiple requests to him to control his dog went unresolved. We reported to campground Mgr when office finally opened. Women's bathrooms were dirty-one shower had animal feces in the drain. Security unlocks each power box upon paid check-in. Must use x-long water hose and at least 40' sewer hose. Site level and long. Lots of grassy areas for pet walking. 24-7 security on call and well lit at night. - texasgal54
Oct 2017 - $20.00
Nice campground, good value, best part is the hosts. They were amazing. It was so nice to be welcomed after driving all day. Best hosts we have ever had. Close to Lincoln sites. Highly recommend. - Rose1987
Aug 2017 - $20.00
Great value! It is a typical, modern fairground campground: a parking lot with level sites, good water, electricity, no shade. We called the office telephone number twice on Sunday, left messages but no callback. On Monday, we did what other reviewers advised: we went in thru Gate 11 (open 24 hours a day) and called the security telephone number (posted near the gate). He advised us to go to the Handicapped lot, pick any site and he came up to unlock the electric box. We stayed two nights so we were there when the office opened on Wednesday morning and paid before we left. We will definitely stay there again! - Mom_of_Two

May 2010 - $8.00
We needed a place for an extended stay near Jacksonville, IL and there are few other options. The road into the campground is barely big enough for two vehicles and not big enough when one of the vehicles is an RV. Someone is going to have to pull over and yield. The park roads are gravel and the sites are grass and gravel and not very level. We rarely use blocks but they were necessary here. The park is large and very beautifully maintained. The sites are strangely laid out and crowded. We shared water with one or maybe two other sites, I couldn't tell. One is required to mow one's site with the provided mower and weed eater. This is acceptable as the sites are small and so is the fee. Security is very good. There are a lot of year-round residents. The one thing I found disturbing was that there seems to be a set of rules for the people who live there and another for visitors. We would go back if we had to, but would not go out of our way to come here. The managers were on top of everything and easy and pleasant to work with. - Joann26

We stayed on a monthly rate. Winter hook ups available. More 30 amp lots then 50 amp. It seems like a wonderful place to stay in summer. Quite close to a store but out of town. - twinapril
