21 Parks near Bristol, Indiana
Jul 2016 - $41.00
Nice place, although it is a big campground, in the evening it is quiet. Two pools. WiFi was not for free. Sites were not that big, but big enough for us, because we did not have neighbors during our stay. - Bisan
Jul 2015 - $48.00
A beautiful setting amongst Pine trees. Very quiet. We were in the deluxe pull thru area. There is an older section that has RVs packed together. Looks like they live here permanently. Swimming pools are very nice. Gated park. - Missouri3
Jun 2015 - $48.00
We camped here with our grandkids always take them on one trip a year. This park was a total let down from last years trip in MI at Duck Creek resort in Muskegon MI.
We had a pull-thru at the end of the road one way out only. Will every golf cart that was in use used our site as an exit to the main road behind us.
Camp ground had a lot of seasonal campers who have let their unit run down to junk. I would not camp at this park again. - Jim W1
Sep 2016 - $35.00
Nice site, long and shade. Nice staff. - KCook3
Sep 2016 - $34.00
We always stay here when in town for RV repairs.
Owners are very friendly and helpful. There was a rally in town so we only got a 30 amp. No sewer site. Lots of room and we were allowed to pick a site that worked best for us.
Owner lent me a portable air compression to fill up my bike tires and was very helpful. - Tumblewood
Aug 2016 - $41.00
The owner was friendly but complained to us about another customer. The road in is easy to navigate, but some of the turns in the park are a little tight. It is right off of I-80 so convenient for overnight stays, and set back far enough that the noise wasn't too bad. Very large park, fairly well maintained. Sites are extremely close together, our living room slide almost hit our neighbors picnic table, which our site didn't have one. When we first pulled in, we couldn't find the sewer hook-up and the cap was missing. The placement of the sewer hook-up is a good 10 feet from the electric hook-up. Sites are grass, and not very level, but long enough for our 37-foot RV, tow dolly and parking. No WiFi. Verizon signal was good. There is a playground, pool, mini-golf, basketball area, and horseshoes. The best part of the stay was the very large fenced in dog park. We stayed one night, August 4, 2016 and paid $41.41 with our Good Sam Discount. Don't think we would stay again considering the price and such narrow lots. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Decided to stay last-minute on our way to the East coast. Nice level site, W/E only. Little deck off of the site. Other campers very friendly, they were in the process of remodeling the bathroom and it looked nice. We didn't have the time to take part in any of the amenities but they looked nice, clean grounds and lots to offer. - EllenT
Jul 2016 - $37.00
This park was a lovely overnight, one of my favorite stops on our 26 day trip. Quiet, clean, and friendly which are my top three things to look for in a campground. Restrooms were spacious, air-conditioned (a big plus!!), and clean. - calijame
Jul 2016 - $40.00
It was a bit tight for a 65 foot length, they had to put a cone behind my unit. The water pressure was good but had a foul smell to it. Had someone knock on my door on Saturday telling me about church service they gave on Sunday. Don't like religion pushed on me, okay to do your own thing but don't pester me. Don't think I'll camp in bible country again. - BigBear
Aug 2016 - $1.00
Stayed here again this year for the FROG Rally and as always the grounds are immaculate. Seeing they just got thru with their fair: it was impressive to see how clean the grounds were, and how fast the fair ground crew were able to set up all the things needed for a rally of close to 800 rigs.
Yes there are trains, but all summer almost every where we stayed we heard trains. Maybe not as close as here, but we got used to the noise.
FYI: Some sites might need extra lengths of sewer hose. - DBLR
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Stayed here again for the annual FROG rally. About 800 units this year. Electric and water service very strong for the number of units on the systems. Rained several times during the week but ponding was at a minimum. Elkhart county and city of Goshen operate this campgrounds/fairgrounds like a well oiled machine. Office staff very pleasant and helpful. If you are in this area, whether visiting or business with the rig factories you can't go wrong staying here. - xarmoreddriver
Aug 2016 - $23.00
This stay was for a manufacturers rally of approximately 800 RVs, and many sites were very close together and many of my observations would probably not apply to the regular park sites. Pricing would apply however.
From a distance, the normal RV sites appeared to be regular size and with FHUs.
Park is centrally located in Amish country with easy access to many attractions.
Price was for water and electric for a four-night stay prior to a manufacturer's rally.
Full Hookup would have added $7.50 per night extra to the price. - Lakewood90
Sep 2013 - $1.00
Made an appointment to have my RV worked on and was told that the campground is closed. The property owner has sold it off. They have a parking lot that can be used by people with an appointment but they no longer have a campground. - BobWW
Jul 2013 - $1.00
We stayed at their campground for 20 nights while they were doing repair work on the motorhome, at no cost. It was a great location to see Elkhart and the surrounding area. And if you are looking for motorhome repair work, they are very helpful and did a great job. The facility is just an asphalt lot, but it has everything you need to be comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. - Sally Chew
Jul 2012 - $25.00
We were looking for a site as close to I90 as possible and saw this place on RVReview. Because it was the day before the 4th of July there was no one in the office to pay, so I called their emergency number and was told welcome and just put a check under the door. Just a gravel parking lot with level pull throughs and good 50amp electric. Would say there again for a stop over. - rhianna
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Nice, no frills campground. Most sites were shady and appeared to be fairly level. Good location for seeing the sites around the area. Restrooms were in great shape and very clean. - Daryn
Aug 2016 - $41.00
First of all, there are 2 Shipshewana Campgrounds in Shipshewana. North is the smaller but in this reviewers opinion the better. The other puts campers right on top of each other, and has much less shade. North is 3 miles north of town. Shady. Bathrooms were spotless. Ice cream store on premises. This is a great Amish community with buggies everywhere! We had a great visit, as our camper is a Jayco, so we were able to take a factory tour while we were here, also. Great services. Artsy town. - Mike from Bama
Jul 2016 - $44.00
Very close to town for you walkers. Park is clean and and simple to get settled. The bathrooms are clean along with the showers, but are in need to modernize. Campfires are not allowed, but in one place there is a communal campfire. Friendly staff. Monday nites are usually full because of the Flea Market on Tuesday so call ahead. We have been staying here for 8 years and nothing has changed in that time. No activities for the kids big and small. No pool but that is something we don't use anyway so we can do without. - Scooter & Crew
Jul 2012 - $25.00
Boat launch was concrete, but was weedy and VERY mucky. As were the spots to park your boat. I have an 18' Astro fish and ski with a 150 on it and it struggled to cut through all the weed debris. It was shooting a black stream. Site #29 electric wasn't working and I sleep with a CPAP machine. VERY burdensome and a risk to my well being. We reserved days in advance so one would think they would've at least checked everything was working. Also, the outhouse had no toilet paper in it. We informed management and it was still never done. We decided to cut our stay short by 1 night and the owners refused to refund us our money citing, "You should've called us at midnight because we have an ADAPTER for the electric." It was a simple 110 volt house plug that DID NOT work. Hopefully they read this, do the right thing and mail us 1 night's lot rent. We also purchased $10 in firewood that we left without even a thank you. I strongly agree with the other posts. Watch out for this place. - MKajzer
Aug 2010 - $40.00
We stayed 4 nights in 35 footer at a cost of $85. Although the site was a backin we were able to pull through. The family was very friendly, but it was obvious that the full time residents were favored. The laundry room had 3 washers and dryers, a wet floor from pool toys and no table for folding or a place to hang anything. The bathroom was very old and cleaned every other day. Not a treat to use. They graded the road everyday, raising dust. We would not stay here again. - gwenmc
Aug 2008 - $31.00
BIG RIGS BEWARE! it takes a lot to make me mad, but this place managed it. If you have a camper longer than 30', then you need to avoid this place... there's no way you can get level if you're longer than 30'. NO gravel in the parking spaces, muddy back-ins, rude staff - and just plain nasty seasonals. The grass was 2' high around everything. I had reservations and left when I saw what was available. I wouldn't boon dock in this place if THEY paid ME! The "manager" told me, "We have spots - find a place and park." Are you kidding me? Avoid this camp ground. - Steve and Kathy Burnett
Sep 2016 - $50.00
This is an excellent park with long level pull through sites, wi fi was very slow to the point of being of no use, but the park is clean and very nice, convenient to local attractions we would stay here any time we are in the area. - Bruce and Janette
Sep 2016 - $44.00
A very nice campground with nice views and well kept. The staff was very accommodating. - piclif
Aug 2016 - $44.00
Spent a week in early August 2016 at our Redwood Rally. The park is very clean and well kept. The only negative is the roads get dusty when dry, and they were dry all week.
Space was very spacious, level, and plenty long for the truck and 41' 5th wheel. - 5th Wheel Cal
Aug 2016 - $30.00
Great no frills campground for visiting Shipshewana Area. We had a full hookup back in site with good utilities. The pad was level gravel and 100 ft from the flea market. Some sites are not level and require blocking. A number of sites are taken by vendors at the flea market. Payment is made via drop box at the entrance to the campground, cash or checks are accepted. Credit card payments must be made at the flea market office. - Teacher's Pet
Sep 2015 - $27.00
This is an excellent campground for visiting Shipshe!! You must be self contained!! There is NO showers or bathrooms available!! The full hook up back in is $27 a night and pull thru's are $33. They have sites with no hook ups for $12 for back in and $18 for pull thru, excellent for the quick, safe overnight place to lay your head!! We love this park for the simple reason is located right at the Flea Market and within easy walking distance to downtown, for shopping or food!! The reasonable price is awesome for the area, as many of the other places charge way more & you have to drive to get to town or the flea market! They take NO reservations, it's first come, first served, most sites are gravel & level. We are usually the smallest rig in here, lots of BIG motorhomes enjoy this place and it is set up to handle them. - Trainmom
Sep 2015 - $33.00
Nothing special except probably the cheapest in the area, no facilities except spotty wifi. Hook ups were all good but as said before have a Y for the water as it is a shared hook up, also check your site choice as some are opposite, like buddy sites. Fills up in the beginning of the week mostly for the flea market within walking distance. - DBLR
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Extremely tight sites. Camp store useless. Unable to use fire ring due to close sites. - eliterror
Aug 2016 - $54.00
Newbie here. 1st KOA visit so ratings may be skewed for awhile. Clean, nice tall trees, wonderful smell of pine. Check in swift, followed attendant to site, was told to check in after setting up. Good 120 volt power. Two accessible sewer ports at this site.
Train passes "close by," did not bother me. The campsite emptied out on Friday but filled back up Saturday night. Pass thru's have good length, sites quite close together. Excellent cable (50+ channels), WiFi so/so, 4+ bars on Verizon and AT&T. - RVStudent
Aug 2016 - $48.00
Price seems high for this place, as I don't see this as a destination, so to speak . We just use it as a overnight stop over, and if you have kids I guess they would like it due to the swimming pool. Its an OK place, just not somewhere or someplace that I would see us spending time at. - NPmoto
