This is a great place to stay if you are passing through or live close by. The campground is well kept and attractive, and our site was very level and shaded. Plenty of space between sites. Plenty of things to do. Hook ups were fine but on the second day, our water turned very rusty. We have filters so it was okay. Our site was big enough for our 25' trailer but we had to park the truck sideways next to the road. After raining all night, it was surrounded by a huge puddle and we didn't see where there was any overflow parking. Minor inconveniences. We did have trouble with our reservation, no email confirmation. They sent one when I called but it was for a different site - basically the same, shady and on the river so that was okay. Luckily, this was during the week so availability was good. Then we decided to stay an extra night but there was someone in the site they offered. By the time they straightened it out, we were on our way out - it was well after noon check out and we didn't want sit around waiting any longer, or tie up our site if the next people came. The office people were very apologetic, very pleasant and helpful. It was unfortunate but those things happen. Their website could definitely be improved! Very scant information there.

The sites at the back end (51 through 69) are more crowded, and 51 backs up to a maintenance shed. It was nice being on the river but I thought the pond side sites were equally nice. They aerate the front pond and we saw people fishing there. The other ponds had some algae, I didn't ask if it was blue green. We camped at White River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a Hamilton County park with concrete sites & roads. Our site was a back-in on the rear loop of the campground. Our site was just long enough for our 34' fifth wheel & allow us to park in front. Some sites are shorter. It would be nice if the road in the rear loop was a little wider. There were several sites with deep holes next to the road from previous vehicles backing in to sites. Most sites seem to share a hookup for electric & water. We observed many people pull into the site so the hookups would be on the proper side. We spent a week here & saw many vacant sites during the week. However, on the weekend, the park completely filled up. Use caution when driving thru the park on weekends because there are kids everywhere. The camp hosts do try to enforce the 5 mph speed limit. The park sits right next to the White River & mosquitoes were out in force during our stay. The shower house is at the front of the park. There are restrooms at the rear of the park, but no showers. TV reception OTA was fine, but the wifi was slow & next to unusable on the weekend. We would use this campground again, but would probably try to avoid the weekend. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed this park. Level concrete sites with small patio area. Right on the river with lots of space between sites. It is convenient located to shopping of all kinds. Gated during off hours also. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a highly rated campground run by the local county. It's in a lovely tree lined area near the river. We were really looking forward to staying here. BUT, on a nice early fall weekend it's a disappointment. There are two issues: 1) It's JAMMED with people, cars, dogs running loose, 3 year olds on bikes and large family gatherings spread out all over every available blade of grass. That's OK, but when the sites are really tight it's uncomfortable. Next to our site is what appears to be a family reunion. They've rented 7 or 8 sites and have set up a large kitchen, gathering place and parked 12- vehicles that I can count. There must be 35 people next to us.

The 2nd issue is one of the charms of the place - the River. It's flooded through here and everything is drenched, muddy and wet. We're here on a dryish day - but we had to move from our reserved site because it was under water with no way into our out of the RV without wading water or going through deep mud.

I'm guessing if you came here in the middle of the week it would be almost empty and pretty easy to find a nice site to enjoy.

Looking at the campgrounds near this spot, I don't see any better place. So, maybe this is the best on the northeast side of Indy?? We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

We really like this park. Concrete sites, full hookups, WIFI. Everything worked fine. Plenty of room to get into site and plenty of space between you and the next camper. The day we were to arrive, they were replacing a water pump and the park employee called us to let us know so if we needed to stop for water before we got there we could. We thought that was very nice of her. The pump was fixed when we arrived so no issues. There was construction on some type of a bridge over the river in the campground that was rather noisy starting early in the morning. We'd definitely stay here again. Our GPS did take us past the entrance for some reason, but there are signs and we should've been watching for them. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Concrete pads and patios, river front sites available, good OTA TV, good firewood for$5, Cicero is only 3mi for groceries and hardware, Koteewi park across the river has new features including zip line, some sites are larger than others so ask when you book. Our 32' TT was a bit snug on site 29. We visit this park at least once per year, when it's available, because it is full most weekends. It's busy, but quiet and with lots of FHU sites. We camped at White River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is situated next to the White River in Cicero, Indiana, just a few miles off Highway 31. The road leading to the campground from 31 is quite narrow. The entrance sign is quite low so you need to be aware. Campground is nicely kept. The day we arrived campground was having an RV show, so road to site was blocked. Luckily we were able to get to our site on opposite road, but have to move orange cones in order to back up to our site, which was along the river. We arrived shortly after check in time and when we asked if our site was available, the office staff had no idea and stated that we would find out when we got there. Luckily it was empty.

Please note that a large FAN or screen room is a necessity at this campground, due to the large number of hovering flies in the area. At the time we were here, they were building a large pedestrian bridge that intersected with the park next door. This caused a lot of noise and mud in the road. It was a good deal at $150.00 per week. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is just north of Noblesville, Indiana, which is a quaint town for shopping and antique hunting. There is a great restaurant in the town of Cicero called 10 West, if you are looking for an upscale night out. There is also a great ice cream place in town also.

Like the name implies, it is right by the White River, run by the county. It is a gated campground, with the gates closing about 5:00 pm. When you check in, they give you the gate code. The people were friendly and they work at keeping the place clean. There are no pull-thrus, just back in sites. The sites are spacious, with a fire ring, picnic table, and a small patio. The wi-fi was adequate for e-mail, social media, and some forums. We had trouble when it came to playing games on our tablets, that needed wi-fi, so we had to use our hotspot for those. We were able to get antenna TV, but our satellite TV did not work, due to the trees and being down in a little valley. We found that the hook-ups were a little strange, the electric and sewer were in the very back of the site, while the water was in the very front. We had to use a sewer hose extension to get connected. Overall, it is a nice quiet campground, and we would stay there again. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

If you have children, take them the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Racing fans, or even people that aren't racing fans, make sure and visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the museum. We took the VIP tour, at $30 apiece, and it was well worth it. While in Indianapolis, take in the capitol building and Monument Circle. Also go to Kokomo and take a tour of the Opalescent Glass Company tour.

This is a county-owned campground north of Indianapolis. If you can find an open time in the summer you'll be very fortunate. We were on their waiting list for over 7 months to get the time slot we needed. All RV spaces are concrete with a nice picnic table and fire ring. Water is at the front of the sites just off the road. The sewer and electric are at the rear. It's almost impossible to get a full-hookup site during the summer months. The campground is heavily used for weekend camping by the locals. If you enjoy close neighbors and socializing ask for a site toward the back of the property. If you want peace and quiet ask for a site at the front near the office. The office closes and the gate is blocked early. But, once you've arrived you'll be given a code for gate entry. We camped at White River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is a county park with the facilities heavily used by local residents. I would strongly advise calling ahead for a spot. 50 amp sites are quickly taken and many 30 amp sites are too short for big rigs. We lucked out since the campground host had not brought his RV out for the summer yet, and we were allowed to use his site. This is a very nice and well maintained park with all sites being paved and grounds well taken care of. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

One of the closest RV parks to the north side of Indianapolis, some basic shopping is available about 3-4 miles away in Cicero, Indiana. Any specialized needs or a Wal-Mart would entail driving around 10 miles south to Noblesville.

This is a great county park that was used heavily on the weekend. All sites have level concrete pads. Some are short so make sure that you let them know the length of your rig when you register. About half the sites are full hookup and the remainder are water and electric. Good Verizon service and over the air TV. Satellite is spotty since there are mature trees. There is a nice playground, shelter, game room (limited hours), volleyball, horse shoe pits and fishing. Large grass areas will accommodate tent campers and many RV spaces have room for a tent. The entire facility is very well maintained especially since it is heavily used. They are in the process of constructing a pedestrian bridge across the river to the walking and biking paths. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We made a reservation early in the week so we could attend a funeral on Saturday. Despite being almost full, they found a way to provide us a full hookup site. We will return. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a small county run campground located on the White River. There are a combination of larger sites with full hookups (50 amp), smaller sites with 30 amp/water and a few tent sites. A few sites have a view of the river although the one we were in did not. The larger site we were in had a very level concrete base with a picnic table located underneath some trees. We were able to locate our motorhome to get DirectTV satellite service as well as receiving Indianapolis stations on our bat wing. The only down side to the site is that the sewer connection is located at the very back and we had to use 30 feet of hose to make the connection. There were very few RV's in the campground during the week days we were there and it was very quiet. The park's WiFi worked well enough for us. There is another county park (no camping) with walking/biking trails along with a nature center located on the other side of the river about 1/2 mile from this campground. We enjoyed our time in this campground and would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

County owned, gated in evening, sites shaded, paved sites, table. Sites are really spacious. Interior roads are extremely narrow but are sort of one way so not a real problem. Narrow roads make it a bit difficult to back into space and not drive on the grass and the trees could use a trimming. Real quiet during the week but understand busy on week-ends with locals. Downside - watch out for the rainy season since park will flood with almost two feet of water. Would clearly stay here again. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding county park campground. The facilities are clean, there is a great playground, small camp store, a river, a pond, plenty of play space and great level, paved sites. The bathhouse is concrete block, but nicely updated. Far enough away from the city to see stars, close to a small town (Cicero) for groceries. The sites are not huge, but they are either on the river, or back up to a large grassy area and narrow pond. A nice mix of RV types and tent campers. Everyone was well behaved. We live 25 minutes from this park but it was our first time here. We will be back. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cicero has groceries and a small hardware store. Noblesville has a delightful square with shops and great dining options. Morse reservoir beach is okay. I saw you can rent pontoons at Morse Marina for $50/hour and canoeing is nearby as well. Conner Prairie is worth a day visit - 1830's recreation of Indiana living. Their summer concert series is outstanding.
