There are not many choices in the area and we arrive at this campground late. We could not find the RV park office to check in. A permanent camper helped us locate a campsite. The entire park is gravel. RVs were tight side by side. There was an area with trees, our campsite was bare. We heard the nearby train horn all through the night. The next morning we had to search for the RV park office; it is not conveniently located. We had two RVs; one was a motorhome. We camped at Vanderburgh 4-H Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed in a newer section. Hookups oddly spaced. Site not level. Train crossing one block away and they run all night long -- blowing horns and rumbling! After hours check in staff friendly. Would not stay again. We camped at Vanderburgh 4-H Center in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the few places to camp in Evansville. The camping area isn't very large, and you will be parked very close to your neighbor. It can be a little tight getting into your space depending on whether you have a neighbor or not. All sites are gravel. Satellite reception may be a problem if you are parked under the trees but shouldn't have any problem with antenna reception. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There may be large events scheduled and at times it can be very busy here. Plenty of room and trails for walking. When we arrived, the park was nearly full (many stay there in the winter, much to our surprise!) and we were unable to get our 45 foot coach into the space (they told us in advance we may not fit). The staff were very kind and we parked in the lower area parking lot expecting to dry camp and they were able to provide us with 30 amp power and water connection from a shed (which we didn't use since temps in the 20's). They offered this to us for no charge, however we made a donation to the park since they were so kind and there was no where else to stay in the area (except Flying J parking lot!). Whenever we come through the area we stay here. You certainly can't beat the price and location. Call ahead for reservations as there are only about two dozen sites (and not all can accommodate a large motorhome). We camped at Vanderburgh 4-H Center in a Motorhome.

Adequate for an overnight stop in an area with few campgrounds. Sites are level, but small and jammed together. Railroad track is 1/4 mile away. Campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. We camped at Vanderburgh 4-H Center in a Motorhome.
