We were a bit hesitant as the woman would not send us a confirmation, but finally agreed to give us a confirmation #. When we arrived (3pmish), the door was locked. After a few rings a woman opened the door, did not ask for our name (for our reservation) and shoved paperwork in front of me (for me to fill out). But the campground is very nice! Very nicely landscaped - a lot of personal touches. And it seems that they are continuing to make landscape improvements. The restrooms are clean and in good shape. Very nice playground and activities for kids. Huge dog park (all nice grass, but no shade). The sites are very nice. Ours was a pull-thru, which was very long, level, had stones for the pad and grass in front, behind and to the sides of all sites. There is a mix of sunny and shady sites. We did not use the WiFi. They had cable for $2 extra (we did not use). We would definitely recommend this campground. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Elkhart has a beautiful downtown area, some historic districts, a nice riverwalk and a botanic garden. Take some time and check it out! We had a very nice bike ride!

Family that owns the campground is wonderful; they were very pleasant. Park was clean, well maintained. Site was level, and roomy. Dog park was massive. Laundry - plenty of machines and all worked well for us. We were able to pick up several over air tv channels, so able to view local channels even without cable. They delivered fire wood to our site so I didn't have to haul it back, and $5 bought a good sized bundle (we shared it with neighbors). Convenient for all the all RV facilities that we needed to visit in that area. We didn't use the pool, but it looked so inviting and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. We'd definitely stay here again. (one of our neighbors visited last year and said that they property had been upgraded a good bit in the past year, so kudos to the owners on all the upgrades, it's nice!). Only downside I can think of for the property is that there were ant beds everywhere, even with all their maintenance, and we sprayed our site, and new hills popped up every day, not the invading your house ants, just have to be careful where you walk irritations). We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Rise and Roll Bakery in Elkhart has cinnamon caramel donuts that MUST be tried (okay, we tried those and the apple fritters, and the lemon and the bismark, and pretty much everything else - all were amazing!). Someone wrote a review on it and called their donuts Amish Crack - definitely addictive! don't skip this treat!

I would have given it a 10 except that I think it was a bit pricey. We stayed 9 days, we did get for the first 7 the weekly rate of $235.00 plus tax and the 2 extra days we did get GS disc. $41.50 but I still think it is pretty pricey. The grounds are nice...the spaces are close but super tight. Alot of things near by. AT&T worked well. Didn't use wifi. I wasn't crazy about the fact that people were lighting fires with lighter fluid as it stinks and you can't leave your windows open. The grass area is nice. Picnic table was in need of new wood. Someone took our fire ring but we didn't care cause we didn't burn any wood. We had a few days of serious rain. Made things damp and muggy. We really didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities as we were in the last row (K). Roads are a little narrow but acceptable. Speed bumps are extreme. It is a large park and they do have numerous things including the pool, a so so pickle ball court, basketball, volleyball but no nets and horseshoes. Most spaces are semi shaded or no shade, which is good if you have a mounted sat dish like we did. If we were in the area, we would consider coming here again. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Narrow interior roads but not a problem, even with a big rig. Sites are interesting in that that the gravel "pad" has grass on both ends, meaning you need to drive over grass to enter or leave the site. You need to be aware of the interior road speed bumps which are short but steep. Excellent location for visiting the RV & Motorhome Hall of Fame and Museum as well as the Wellfield Botanical Gardens (both must visits). We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

We were here for RV Village Rally. There had been flooding so we had to double up in our space to begin with. However the other people never arrived or were assigned to another spot. Roof top satellite and Verizon wifi worked well. Spots are very close together but it was convenient for the rally and tours. Lots of options for services here. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

this park had a HUGE fenced dog area (they should cut in half and make two) Park was very green with a lot of grass, due to the rally parking was a little tight, but doable. Need more bath houses if hosting another rally. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

There was a huge crowd and rally when we stayed but not enough full hook up sites for the number of people in attendance. Some had to Boon Dock while others only had water & electric, may have been by their choice. There was a dump station available for all along with a fenced in pet run area. There was a pool & spa on site along with a kid play ground area with mini golf and this campground is dog friendly. Sites had picnic tables and fire rings. If this site did not have such a big crowd it might have gotten a better review from myself. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best and the further you were from the office the worst it got to the point of no service. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very mature park... fully grown trees and wide roads. The gravel surface is the black gravel that doesn't leave dust all over. Office staff is somewhat difficult to understand and not overly helpful. Location is quite good for visiting all RV manufacturers and museums. Price is far too high for the number of amenities available though. Picnic tables are old, covered with mold and moss and some are rickety. Just not worth the price they're asking. Most all sites are level but many are grass. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Too expensive for the amenities that were available. We stayed in early April and they did not have water turned on. They said we could fill up our water tank but nothing at the site. The site was muddy since it had been raining. The laundry was not available either. It was an okay place to stay but not very accommodating or helpful. When they did turn the water on, they didn't bother to tell us. I think we found out a day or two later. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Access from the highway is easy down a bumpy road. Interior roads were fairly easy to navigate to our large (length wise) pull thru site. Sites are pretty close side to side but adequate. Utilities are solid with typical slow to non- existent camp ground wifi. Check in was easy but not overly friendly. There is a LARGE dog park at the end of the pull throughs. They were working in other areas placing fresh gravel, and there was evidence of preparing to plant spring flowers. I would stay again if in the area. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Camped here for a couple of nights while taking a Keystone factory tour. This is a basic (but large) campground - good for a stop over or a convenient place for groups. Not much for a "camping experience". Sites are basically flat and level, partially shaded, and close together. Good location for access to all RV manufacturers and the RV Hall of Fame/museum. The campground has propane available. The worst part about this campground is the horrible taste of the municipal water. We will stay here again if we need to, but next time I'll bring extra bottled water. Many restaurants, hardware and other stores close by. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived the day after a very had rain storm hence the mud. Each site is gravel with grass in between each site. There is a picnic table and a fire pit. The roads inside the park are a little on the tight side but we managed. We were assigned site 740. This is a very large park with 909 sites. We had good satellite coverage. We would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice enough RV park. Roads are hard pack dirt, easy enough to navigate. Check in area is suitable for unhooking if necessary. We should have, except staff said we didn't need to. Except we did. Our site, 724, is in a section where the sites are at a 90 degree angle from the road, and our site had a VERY heavy fire pit in the back patio area. I tried, and missed. I about broke my back moving the fire pit. Sites are a combination of grass and gravel. They are level and have a grass patio area with picnic table. Utilities and WiFi worked well. Cable is an extra charge. Restrooms are good. Huge fenced dog exercise area. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Elkhart CG is one of my favorites for traveling. Easy, pull through sites on grass. Very easy access off the interstate. I stayed a few days to visit the RV/MH Museum, Elkhart Botanical Gardens, Shipshawana, etc. It's a great central location to the various towns and auto museums as well as other activities in the area. I did not take advantage of many of the campground amenities, but the wifi signal was excellent, and it offered cable. Sites were nice and big, not too close. Campground was fairly open, so not a lot of privacy, but oriented well for a commercial campground so you didn't feel like you were in your neighbors lap. Very straightforward layout, so easy to get around and find your site. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.
