Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights. Paid $38/night plus 5% tax. Total was $39.80/night. Reservation process was quick and easy. We had to change our dates after making our initial reservation. The staff was very helpful and made the change for us without drama. Check-in was fast and efficient. Our site was spacious and level. All hook-ups worked perfectly. We were able to obtain Verizon cell, Verizon Mifi and DirecTV signals. We didn't have much time to explore CG amenities but did enjoy a few walks around the park. It is clean, safe, quiet, well-maintained and, quite simply, it is a very nice place to be. Fellow campers were friendly. If we returned to the area, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Creation Museum one day and Ark Encounter the next. I really think you need about 3/4 of a day for each to take it all in (as opposed to trying to do both in one day). You can buy a combined ticket at a discount (although it's still quite expensive). Recommend buying your ticket online ahead of time to avoid waiting in line. Both museums have food/snacks for a reasonable price.

Very nice park that is clean and well maintained. Back-in or pull thru sites are available. Our pull thru site was concrete, level and long enough to stay hooked up with our 43' 5th wheel. Plenty of space between sites, patio, picnic table and fire ring. Free wi-fi, large play area for kids, pool, catch and release pond and a walking/bike trail. Kentucky Speedway about 10 miles away. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here for two nights on our way to Ohio and loved it so much we stopped on our way back. Very clean and well maintained. Laundry room was great. Spacious sites with cement slabs and roads are paved. Would definitely recommend this park for an overnight stay or a week long stay. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Checking was very fast and easy. Excellent staff. Very well maintained park in a good location for venturing out or staying in to take it easy. Roads, sites, and patios are paved with nice grass between the sites. Some sites back up to a lake which is catch and release. We saw people catching fish every time we sat out by the lake. We stayed for two weeks and will definitely stay here again. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This very nice RV park is situated along Indiana Hwy 156 (Ohio River Scenic Byway), just 2.5 miles west of Belterra Casino. The main roads within the park are paved and easily navigable for the largest of coaches. All the sites (back-in and pull-through) have long, wide concrete pads, a concrete patio with a wooden picnic table, a fire ring, cable tv, and daily trash pick-up. Sites are widely spaced and nicely angled to allow for privacy at each site. Amenities within the park include a large "catch and release" fishing pond centrally located on one side of the park, a heated, salt-water swimming pool, a large children's playground with padded ground, a bounce pad, horseshoes, volleyball court, basketball hoop, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers, and a huge community center with video games. An added plus is the 0.7 mile long off-site walking/biking path which offers great exercise due to the hill climb at the end. When added to a lazy figure 8 along the paved roads in the park, it makes for a nice 1.35 mile trail. There is also a small convenience store located in the registration office which sells fire wood, bags of ice, soft drinks, ice cream, park t-shirts, and a small variety of RV necessities. We can't extol enough the virtues of the owners/staff of this park. We had the need to call the park's emergency number at midnight one night, and immediately received a call-back from one of the owners, with the offer to come to our site to help us out, even though he lived about one-half hour away. Absolutely amazing customer service, a quality very much appreciated! The owners take great pride in maintaining their park, and can be found throughout the day doing maintenance, mowing (lots and lots and lots of grass!), cleaning the pool, working in the office, etc. If our travels should ever bring us back to this area, we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed so far 2 weeks but plan on staying about 8 weeks total. We were looking for a place so I could recuperate from knee replacement with all hookups which is hard to find in this area. Nice quiet place. Nice little pond to fish catch and release. Playground. Big Jumping pad for the kids. Bike trail. Very well taken care of. Lawns mowed weekly. Garbage picked up at site. Nice heated saltwater pool during summer. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV park just over the Ohio River near Florence/Vevay Indiana. Easy to get to, entrance well marked. Interior roadways were completely paved, as were all sites. Sites were nice and long, easily accommodate big rigs (we're 42 ft. long). Plenty of room to park your tow vehicle. Sites were pretty decent distance apart. Park is family owned, and staff very friendly. Utilities are housed in marine grade unit, and have "night lights" at their tops. Utilities were well positioned and convenient for use. Park is in small foothills, so really warm days (76 degrees in Nov 2016) followed by very cool temps (38-40 degrees) at night made for heavy fog in the mornings. Sometimes it was so foggy, you couldn't see across the small pond. Stayed 2 weeks, and loved it. Nice weather during the day, and cool at night. Office sells firewood, so we had a campfire a couple times during our stay. Park is convenient to nearby casino, and about 20 minutes from nearest Walmart in Carrollton, KY. We'd stay here again, especially with the small pond that is stocked with good size small mouth bass and crappies (catch and release). Interior roads were wide, and obstruction-free. Very easy to navigate with large rigs. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Large RV park. Arrived after dark. Paperwork to site left at office. Hardly anyone there when I visited in early September. Nice concrete pad. Very good wifi. Nice bike/walk path attached to site. Would return if on my way through this area, not a destination park for me, for others a nearby casino may be an attraction. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed for a week so price reflects the weekly rate. We are newbies. This was our first experience at a park with our new motorhome. We loved it. The park is clean and well maintained. The girl at the counter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Everyone seems so happy and friendly. We come to this area often for the activities. We will definately stay here again. The campground seems brand-new but is actually 9 years old. It was obviously designed for big-rigs, and by someone who knows something about RVers needs:

1-concrete, level pads

2-paved and wide interior roads (2 lanes wide)

3-each site has a wide apron, with paved strip up to the pad

4-sites are well-spaced, better-than-average at least

5-full hookups, good utilities, with cable

6-adequate WiFi strength/speed

7-clean shower houses/bathrooms

It is not on the river itself, but across Highway 156, which is the road that runs along the Ohio river. There is a "fishing" pond in the middle, which is just a large puddle-like a retention pond. It's catch and release only, and I did see some people catching small fish. There is a playground, with a large bouncing balloon. There is an excellent ½ mile paved trail around the wooded along the west boundary - one of the better ones I've seen at any campground. A major casino is just up the road.

The only negatives (minor) are :

1-most of the sites are in an open clearing, with the parking lot feel of an open field. If you want some trees there is one row along the back where the sites back up to the woods.

2-Cable TV has limited channels. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed as an overnight while traveling in the off season. Very easy access to and in the park with our extra large sized 40'+ big rig RV. Quiet at night and park looks very well kept. I thought the price was high for just an electric connection and concrete pad since water at the sites was turned off (but available at the office) but, during their regular season, looks like it would be a fair value given the amenities. Great AT&T and Verizon signal. Satellite signal available at most sites. We would stay again. We camped at Follow the River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
