We attended the Forest River Owner's Group (FROG) rally. The group maximizes all available spots with 800 RVs in attendance. This year we were located in the grove which is directly behind the permanent campsites. There is frequent noise from the very active train tracks adjacent to the property. The bathrooms and grounds are kept well maintained. Great location for a rally! Downtown Goshen is very nice with interesting shops. Tough to rate campsites since we were in a temporary location. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Everything about this park is lovely except the location. We were parked about 100 yards from a busy railroad. All day, and more importantly, all night, trains went by sounding their horns as they approached and as they departed. With windows closed, a/c on high, and earplugs, it woke me up about a dozen times. And we are here 3 more nights. Sigh. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We were here for the Passport America rally, we were assigned a site in the campground, not in the dispersed camping through out the property. The sites were level gravel and easy to back into. All hook ups were at the rear of the parking pad. The grass was freshly mowed and well trimmed. Trains are a common occurrence here since the south edge of the property adjoins one of the busiest rail corridors in the country averaging one train every 12 minutes 24 hours a day. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Stayed again for a week for the Ramblin' Pushers maintenance rally. We stayed in the northwest campground. Had 50 amps, full hookups. Sites were back-ins, a little tight, very little shade, adjacent to Monroe Street so we got both the street noise and the trains. It rained a lot so roads and grass were muddy. Restrooms were clean. No laundry. No off leash dogpark. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We stayed here to attend the Ramblin Pushers Chapter 419 Maintenance Session rally and rate reflects rally rate. The main roads in the fairgrounds are paved and mostly gravel in the camp areas. Easy access to the fairgrounds is from the north side. There are 4 primary camping areas in the fairgrounds, a formal camp in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds, a large area in the south central area, an area in the middle of the race track and an area in the north east front part of the park. We were located in the northern end of the south central camp area with 50 amp, water, and sewer. There is a railroad track that runs diagonally along the south and west end of the fairgrounds, and a road long the north end of the fairgrounds. The road is the lesser of the two evils as there seemed to be several trains an hour day and night. If you are located along the south or west end of the fairgrounds be prepared to not only hear, but to feel the trains as they pass. As previously noted we had a lot of rain during the MS rally so lots of standing water and mud. Beyond the rally, there are many good restaurants, grocery, and other services available in the area. The fairgrounds are available for camping at anytime including during rally's and other events provided there is space. Suggest you call ahead if not part of a rally just to be sure there will be space upon your arrival. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

The 419 MS offered an evening meal off site at a local Amish farm. This was a fantastic experience and would almost consider attending a future MS rally just to do that again.

Full hook ups at a fair ground? Who knew! The ladies in the office are wonderful! They can answer questions and give directions to anywhere in Goshen. Not too shabby if you love the trains. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We camped in the Northwest Camping area - all 30/50a elec, water and sewer. All utilities at rear of site. Sites are gravel and grass. Great free wifi. Most sites are open, but some have limited shade. Nearby active railroad. Close to RV service centers and manufacturers and Amish culture. Staff is very helpful - extensive local info with maps provided at check-in. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Here one week for international rally and stayed over 3 more days. Main rv camping spots very nice and utilities placed and worked correctly. Did not use showers or toilets. About 200 or so sights with fhu's and when rally's are held can hold over 700 with 30 amp service and water too. Pump out service is provided by rally host. Nice clean cg and friendly folks in fair office and city of Goshen. 2nd time here and we will return. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fairgrounds and we attended a rally for Forest River Owners Group (FROG) there. The cost reflects 4 dinners and 6 breakfast plus an excursion for two people.

We where in the center of the infield around the race track had water and 30 amp service plus one free pump out. the park is large and can accommodate in excess of 700+ campers. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Was here once again for the FROG rally but did stay extra days, for a fair grounds a very nice place. Nearby trains are loud but after awhile got used to them. They hold a lot of rallies here and really know how to do it, even with extra rigs they set up water & electric sites. Have heard that in the future more full hook up sites are in the plans. We will return. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

On the plus side, this is one of the most affordable options, sites are fairly level, backing in is easy, wifi is blazing fast, and cell signals are strong.

But I don't think I've ever stayed at a noisier campground (they give out free ear plugs when you check in). We tried to camp as far from the tracks as possible without being right on the road (which not only has traffic noise, but also the frequent clopping of horse-drawn buggies). I could easily hear the trains over the sound of our central vacuum and feel them shaking our rig. Elkhart is a major hub, so trains pass by several times an hour all day and night.

Hookups are in the rear, so you may need an electrical extension. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

It is exactly what the name says it is, a fairground. So, no trees, no privacy and no real amenities. That said, it is easy to get from the campground to anywhere in Amish Country. We were here to have some work done on our RV. This was a great location for us to stay and since we needed to pull out early in the morning on the scheduled work day, it was nice to not have gates etc to worry about. We stayed just before the county fair, so there was lots of activity on the grounds during the day, more of which was a problem. There is a train nearby, so if you are parked in some areas, and you are a light sleeper, it could be a problem. It did not bother us at all. It was a convenient place for us to stay. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We stay here when visiting the Indiana Amish country. We find it to be a very convenient, central location to the various Amish communities around including the restaurants, markets, Shipshewana flea market, etc. The campground is basic, no particular amenities; but it has great access to the trail system, is clean and secure. Wifi is generally OK. Not much shade available on most of the sites. The gravel is getting a bit skimpy on some of the sites, but there are paved access roads. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Nice grassy site in northwest RV area. Paved bike trail passes fairgrounds on north side, connects to many-miles long Maple City and Pumpkinvine bike trails. In many of the RV areas of the fairgrounds, electric and water pedestals are at the rear of the sites and serve two sites, so you might need up to 50' of electrical cord and/or water hose to reach the rear of the next site over. Sewer connections are at rear of each site, not shared. New WiFi system and in-park Verizon cell tower were recently installed, work well. We were visiting nearby family, not attending a rally, so paid full rate. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here a few nights to connect with friends who were part of a Heartland Rally. They only had water and electric sites as the facility was full but that was okay. They had dump facilities towards the back of the fairgrounds.

Trains run very regularly and if you are on the south side of the park you may not enjoy the noise and vibrations. The train tracks runs right next to the fairgrounds property.

We parked on grass. The site we chose was sloped downhill but we had leveling blocks and had no problem leveling the RV.

The bathroom facilities are new and very nice. There are lots of things that must go on during events as there are lots of buildings and eateries available. There are lots of places to walk around and see within the fairground property.

We would stay here again as long as we are located on the north side of the property. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
