Easy access to the Intersate. The grounds were clean, pool clean, friendly escort to space. The site is chip stone and level. The roads in the campgroud are bumpy and could use some work. The electric, water and sewer were fine. No cable TV. When I called up Wifi the screen message stated that the security certificate wan not secure, so did use. Would stay overnight again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The Indy KOA is a large park about 20 minutes east of Lucas Oil Stadium. It has a dog park, horses in a corral, 2 playgrounds and a nice pool. Our space was on the back side of the park, but it was just a short walk across a footbridge to the office and pool. We were escorted to our spot and guided in. The spot was gravel surrounded by grass. They do not let you use anything larger than a doormat in your space - no large mats. Strangely, we shared a picnic table with the people staying in the next space. They left food and cooking supplies on the table all night. Also, there is a back entrance into the park that is apparently always left open. As were were packing to leave early in the morning, a swarm of Mosquitos attacked us. I sent my wife and daughter back into the camper and then killed about a dozen of them. They got me pretty good, though! That was probably just a fluke event. If we are ever in the Indianapolis area again, we will definitely stay there. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Within 20 minutes of the Brickyard, Lucas Oil Stadium and downtown Indianapolis.

Good location. Plenty of shade. Stone pads some with concrete patio (suggested site) others with grass. Good spacing. Pleasant people. Nice play areas and pool. Very good wifi. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Follow signs north to Tuttles Apple Orchards; fresh apples and store. Also north Outlook Christian Church great people contemporary setting of 800-900.

Roads and sites are gravel and very narrow. The free Wi-Fi could not be used as my computer flashed a warning about the security of their system. Probably they have no security or the cheapest available. TV channels limited for reception. Easy off the interstate but would not stay again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Everything was pretty typical of a KOA campground. Park is large, kind of divided into two parks. We were in site 66 across from the pool. We usually don't stay in the parks much, we get there then go to the city or for other events. The pull throughs up by the pool alternate left and right, meaning you face your neighbor. I'm not a big fan of this type of layout, especially when the person facing has multiple dogs running around in your site, or the smoke from their pit is blowing directly under your awning. They experienced quite a bit of rain recently and the one thing our neighbors weren't going to be excited about when they got up is how the sewers backed up into their site. There was a flood about a month before we got there so maybe that attributed to it. Over nice park, wifi signal was fair, restrooms and showers were clean and sites were fairly level and the pool was cold. Easy access to Indianapolis as well. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to Indianapolis.

We stayed at this KOA over Memorial weekend. Most campers were there for the Indy 500; we were there for a wedding. I was surprised and disappointed the fees were raised $20/night due to "race weekend". There are two distinct areas of the park. One area is close to all of the amenities; the other is separate and definitely less hectic. Roads and sites are gravel and it was very dusty while we were there. Nice shady site but needed to use boards to level. Well stocked camp store. Park is east of Indianapolis, Speedway is west, so traffic was not a problem. Activities included hay rides, horseback riding, complimentary pancake breakfast Memorial morning. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Indianapolis looks like a nice, clean city. It would be fun to explore it one day. The Indy 500 (and other major races) are the main focus at this park. Good-sized RV Sales and Service Center next door (not affiliated with campground).

Nice, clean park. Unusually good wifi for a koa. Excellent tv reception. Odd park layout, almost like two parks, but easy to navigate. We reserved a Deluxe site. Sites are very large with great patios. There is a very nice dog park, but I got a tick on me when walking the dog in the park. Down side is, very, very loud traffic noise. the deluxe sites are situated right off the highway and behind some sort of RV dealership. Bright light for the dealership lot and constant loud noise from the interstate took away from the ambiance of the campfire. However, if you are just looking for a travel stop, this is a good one. Easy access to and from the highway. The pool was closed for the winter season and there was no reduction in rate for lack of amenities. Great camp store. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Beautiful spacious sites in deluxe section. Worth the money. Definitely would stop again

The roads in are a little tight for a big rig, but passable. Wifi signal was great but slow. Only .8 mbps down & .85 mbps up. Adequate for email. Sites were crushed gravel and very level. On the whole a nice park We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Our gravel pull-thru site was level and more than long enough. Friendly staff. Although the campground overall was clean and well-maintained the dumpster was overflowing the night we were there. Good selection of cable channels. No trees to block our satellite TV but some sections of the campground have a lot of trees that would get in the way. Good Verizon signal. Traffic noise from the local interstate was noticeable. Good for an overnight stay. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

We really wanted to like this KOA as the owner was very nice and accommodating, but we were unfortunately ready to be out of there after a week. It seems the owner takes a lot of pride in his facility, as he should, but he needs to run a little more of a tight ship. There's a few longer-term residents (they weren't there on the weekend, so I assume they're temp workers that live there during the week) that don't seem to share the owner's sense of pride in the facility. The camper next to us, for example, had garbage and "stuff" all over his site and some on ours as well. They had garbage on the playground (which adjoined their site) as well. The maintenance staff, rather than picking it up, just ran it over with the mowers and further spread it around. I ended up picking up some of it as it was driving my wife crazy. There was construction material (lattice, etc.) that was dumped near the creek that separates the two halves of the campground. The dumpsters were overflowing (they do pick up your trash though). We did not check out the bathrooms, but the owners/hosts have a little white dog that ran through the mud in the horse pen, then proceeded to jump into our vehicle as my wife was loading laundry. It got muddy paw prints all over the inside of the car - seats, dash, doors, etc. I think that was merely an accident, someone put the dog away shortly after, so we didn't make a "thing" of it. But, it was still extremely annoying. Overall, it was by far our dirtiest KOA experience to date, but it seems to be due more to the fact that they let longer term residents do whatever they want (like idle their obnoxiously loud, modified pickup trucks at 5-6am, every morning, for a good half hour while they get ready for work) and with it being the off-season, they may not have the staff to stay on top of it. They seemed to be putting in additional sites and they clearly care about the landscaping which was nice, they just need to maintain consistency as it currently lends to an awkward and off-putting experience. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Quick friendly check-in. Roads within the campground were a little tight, just use extra caution. Our site, #36 was level enough for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

I stayed in the newer section, which had a good sized site. Most sites are on the large side with much tree cover. Gravel and dirt interior roads and sites. Nice size dog park. If you have satellite, make sure you request a site that will allow the use of your dish. Water pressure very low. I used my tank and pump. Good electric. Wi-Fi was poor and dropped out frequently, finally switching back to my Verizon. For what I payed for low water pressure and unusable Wi-Fi, I feel I was ripped off. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a nice private campground but struggles to meet the KOA standards. This, to me, isn't a "destination" campground but a nice stopping/jumping-off point. There are only 3 showers and 2 commodes in the men's room for the whole campground. I know this because I danced for a while waiting for one to become available. The camp store was decent and the staff very nice. The roads and sites are gravel, but the sites are bigger than your typical commercial park and the highway noise is formidible. We would stay here again for a short time. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Conveniently located to Indianapolis just a few miles east on I-70. Two sections of campground: older section is hilly, further from freeway and has bathrooms and amenities. Some rigs had problems with tight turns. Newer section is flat, close to freeway (lots of road noise!), has large dog park and small playground, but no bathrooms. Sections are separated by small creek with 2 bridges. We stayed in older section on a long pull-through site. Most sites had fresh gravel. Were told to put our rug away because it kills the grass. Women's bathrooms only had two showers, both with awful shower heads. Wi-Fi spotty. Nice clubhouse and pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again because of location and friendly staff. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was convenient from the highway. The sites were large and well-kept. If you want to be near the bathrooms and the pool stay in the section by the office. The other section is nice and private although quite a walk to the bathroom and the pool. Nice facilities. We would stay here again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.
