Overall Rating:

We stayed 5 nights. Decided to stay here because of close proximity to I-70 to be able to visit family in Indianapolis. Access is easy from I-70 to Mt. Comfort Rd. The side entrance road is shared with the RV Dealer at the same exit. Roads are gravel and need some of the potholes filled in. Speed limit is 5.5 MPH, but you wouldn't want to go faster, anyway. We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Wednesday and even though the office was closed, they had all the site assignments on a nice dry alcove bulletin board. (Just went and paid balance the next morning). It was a record for rainfall for Indiana for the first 3 days we were here. Not the campground's fault, but parts of the CG were flooded from the creek that runs through it. The main entrance road was under a few inches of water. We mostly used the side entrance and went a cross the bridge. Though the creek level was up to the bridge, it never went over the bridge. Lady in the office said that the creek had not ever gone over the bridge in the last 12 years. She also said that concrete trucks and dump trucks full of gravel had been coming in using that bridge, so it was solid. Our site was gravel and perfectly level. A Pull-through with plenty of room for our 25 ft. class C & toad (another 19 ft.). We could park the toad on either end. New concrete patio, newer picnic table and fire ring. Wi-Fi is free with a good strong signal (no streaming allowed). Only negative, the water pressure was only about 40 PSI. Couldn't use the dog park due to the creek flooding, but the rain stopped Friday and by late Sat. afternoon it was mostly dried out. The CG store is pretty well stocked with RV supplies, and there is a RV dealer with a well-equipped store and service facility adjacent to the CG. The pool is being rebuilt as a "water park" feature. Rate is with 10% KOA discount. We would stay here, again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Firstly, this KOA has a very strange layout as within the park we crossed a one lane bridge, sharp, tight turns and the park was flooded in the area we were assigned. Considering the flooding, it would have been helpful if the host guided is to the site; however, we were left on our own to park in a marshlike, questionable site! We jumped from our vehicle and wondered if it was safe to hookup to power in so much water!!! The internet didn't work which was OK as we have internet onboard! TV reception poor. It is a very pretty location and quiet. I am sure quite delightful when not flooded! This time of year ask very specific questions about flooding on sites as our definition of ' flooded site' is not always the same as the host! clearly, we are not brave campers! We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Have used this campground 5 times total while traveling from Michigan to Florida. Made reservations 7 months in advance for a specific lot which was noted on the deposit receipt. Lot was changed sometime during this 7 months by the park to a lot that was under water when we arrived. There was someone occupying the one we had requested so we were place on the very front lot which is much to small for our 5th wheel and truck. Road is not paved and within a few feet from us on either end so the dust is incredible and sitting outside is not a good time. We have a fire pit.....too close to trailer to use. Our stay is 4 weeks in the spring and 4 weeks in the fall and at a 695.00 rental rate I feel we should be able to spend time outside. Expressed our feelings to management and apparently customer satisfaction is not a big concern! No cable, wifi is sufficient, grounds maintenance leaves much to be desired. Will not return in the fall! We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I do think that this KOA is the envy of all other campgrounds in Indy. What a beautiful park. Opening soon is a new, waterpark-like pool. The showers are fantastic. Lots of trees. The RV sites are super long. The initial turn by registration office was tight, but there's a sign advising. The sites are gravel and have a concrete pad or wooden deck with picnic tables. The fire pit was nicely done with bricks. This park offers a lot for people to do. They have bikes for rent, air hockey, ping pong, a piano and family lounge. Love the resident horses, Fred and Rain! The staff was very friendly and helpful. This park is well taken care of. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very pleasant stop to my destination north. All the roads are gravel and appear to have had some recent attention. The office check-in is located at the back of the park which involves a tour of the grounds. The office check-in area directs you to enter between two buildings that are fairly close. I had no problem navigating our 45 ft. coach w/toad. A little attention could be made to a couple of trees as the branches bumped my passenger mirror. My site #11, which was a deluxe pull-through, had nice space between units and I had good electric showing 115-123 on each leg (depending on demand) . I was on the 'other side' of the creek which entailed me crossing what appears to be a wooden bridge. I had concerns as my coach weighs almost 56,000 lbs. I'm sure it's well supported as I was assured it wouldn't be a problem, smooth sailing! The check-in clerk was very nice and made the process smooth. I will definitely consider this park again if passing through the area. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

One night stay. Close to the interstate so hwy noise but easy on/off. Make reservation in advanve for water/electric. Assigned a wedge shape piece of grass, fairly level. If we had planned to stay 2 nights should have upgraded to one of the "deluxe" spots across the creek. Only one bathhouse - pretty clean. If not for the proximity to I70 would have rated this campground lower as there's not much going on here. Very much a work in progress (pool). We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

10 miles to Knightstown IN, where most of the movie "Hoosiers" was filmed. If you liked that movie, a real treat to walk onto the court. Still a working gym. Take the mini-tour (donation appreciated), visit the locker room, then grab a ball and take a few jump shots. "Welcome to Indiana basketball." Highly recommended.

Friendly staff. At registration, we were notified that they recently had a lot of rain so the original site we selected for our reservation would be really soft so they recommended changing the site. We were allowed to take a deluxe campground site of choice so we could be near the dog park. Love the BIG dog park area, large enough to play fetch with my dogs and they offer potty bags for picking up after your pooch. Plenty of yard w/each deluxe site but gravel lot is not very level. Ground really soft & muddy from recent rains. Only real complaint is that there is ONLY 1 shower/bathroom for entire campground which means you have to hike to reach it & there is no direct trail once you cross the walking bridge over the creek. You either have to walk thru campsites/cabin sites or take long way around through park, so be sure to bring hiking boots. Plus, it took almost 2 minutes to get hot water with barely any water pressure. Bonus fact, KOA is right next door to an RV dealership & a McDonald's and fuel station should you need to visit either. BTW, WiFi worked fine for us. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice campground. It has all the things you come to expect at a KOA. It has a nice pool, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. The sites even for a pull through was spacious.

I really only have one complaint about the campground. If you are in the back section of the campground you have a long walk to the shower/bathroom. They have a nice trail and bridge over a stream that runs through the campground but the trail ends right at a campsite. It would be nice if the campground would complete the trail all the way to the bathroom. They would really only have to take out two sites. The only option campers in the back section have is to either walk through campsites or walk a long way around. This can be a challenge with small children that when they say they have to go probably had to go a long time ago.

Overall we enjoyed our four days stay and will certainly use the campground again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We were very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this KOA. I had read a few negative reviews before we arrived. We were staying in the area to attend the Drum Corps World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indy, and this location was perfect: 20 minutes to the stadium! We had 4 adults and 3 kids in a 42' 5th wheel. I had reserved a pull-thru deluxe. The site (#D31) was perfect for our needs. The gravel pad was fairly level, and was long enough to easily hold our camper, plus 2 large vehicles. We had a concrete patio and a fire ring.

During our stay, the temperature was in the 90's, and it rained 2 out of the 4 days we were here, so we weren't able to be outside as much as we would have liked. However, the kids used the pool and it was very nice and clean. Our 2 dogs enjoyed running in the extra large fenced dog park.

Some of the turns were a bit tight for a big rig, but we were able to navigate without too much problem. There are many mature trees scattered throughout the park. The campground is right off I-70, and there are gas stations and a couple fast food restaurants at the same exit. As close as we were, we didn't notice any excessive noise from the freeway. Like another reviewer has already said, my only real complaint was the location of the only restrooms/shower facility if you are camping in the area that we were in. It is a long walk if you're in a hurry to get there! Fortunately, most of us just used our own facilities. Also, when you pull in for the first time, take the second entrance. We pulled in the first, as our GPS told us to do, and ended up driving over the same narrow bridge twice going to and coming from the office. If you take the second entrance, you'll go straight back to the office to check in. We plan to attend this event next year, and will definitely stay at this KOA again. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for 8 nights & was closest park for us to attend Little League Regionals games. The campground was large with many spaces and several long pull throughs with poured concrete patios. Our site and all of the other larger/longer sites had two sewer connections. Typical RV electrical box with 20, 30, & 50 amp service.

The park was divided down the middle by a creek which required a longer walk to the office from some locations. All roads were gravel and each site had fire rings. Several tent sites and cabins. The pool seemed kind of small although we never saw it overflowing. The pool had chair to lower handicapped persons into the pool. The "store" was well stocked with good prices. Good fenced in dog walk. Except for the first weekend, the park was quiet. Tight squeeze between buildings for check in which would be worse if coming in first time after dark. Had rec hall with several tables which we did not use.

Cons. Owner was less than welcoming, but staff was friendly. Owner mowed close to campers using a side discharge zero turn. He would not allow golf carts in park. He would not allow satellite receivers, grass mats, or bottomed screen rooms in grass.

Wood burning in fire rings was so bad the first two nights, we had to close windows but others were sitting around their fires. Honey bee population was horrible. Could have just been the time of year we were here. Water pressure less than 40 psi for the entire time we were here. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Narrow back to back gravel sites, some can be out of level. Strategically place trees to block satellite signal seems to be the norm. As most KOAs, this one older and is over-priced for the value. Utilities were good and mostly well placed. Trash is picked up at the front of your site every morning after 11AM. Nice store with the basic food and RV needs. We stayed two nights - it is right off the freeway and pretty convenient except for a sharp turn between two buildings for registration. Our space was level and we had lots of room. It is a fair walk to the showers from the area across the bridge we were parked at.

I would have given a higher rating if we had not been place next to a permanent 5th wheel that was very untidy - there was visible trash piled at the end of their space and visible to ours. We went to the office and complained; they said they'd take care of it but never did. We mentioned it again the next day and were ignored. Not sure why they would place anyone so close to a full-time set up when there were lots of open spaces available. Actually not sure why they would allow this rig to be as untidy as it was.

It rained for two days and there was a lot of water around our trailer so drainage might not be too good. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Great park with a large dog park. There is some shade making it hard to get satellite reception. There is no cable but antenna tv reception was good. Long pull throughs are gravel but not real level. They still believe water runs up hill for sewer. It is very dusty entering park which does need attention to repairs. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.
