This area is a bit remote but hey...it's camping. Our site had power but not water. It was hard to find a level parking area and many trees are falling around the park so be careful where you set up. It was satisfactory and we felt very safe. It seemed a ranger patrolled the area routinely. Dead during the week, action packed on the weekend. We stayed here for a week and then, after coming back to the IN area, we decided to stay for another week. - CaliDiscGolf

We had visited this park last winter but could not get in to see the campgrounds. We booked this park as we were going to a nearby town and thought we would take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised. We had a site with a water view that would have been better had some of the brush been cut back. Our site had ample room, a picnic table and a fire pit. We had an electric site in the F loop. The bathroom and shower house were quite nice but the building could use more ventilation as the temperature was in the 90's and the air was extremely heavy in there. A great stay and we will be back again. - jrhude

We arrived mid-week and the campground was nearly empty - only 4 other sites were filled. Our site F-26 was a pull-through at the end of the campground peninsula. Only electric hookups but water spigot was next to our site. We were on the water with easy access to the lake to launch our kayak. Our site was not level - we had to put blocks under the tires to get level. The staff are questionable - they didn't seem to know the answers to any questions we asked. The campground was about 75% full over the weekend - mainly tents. The folks who came into F27 next to us pitched their tent very close to our fire ring but that was the closest level spot to their angled driveway. Ruined our view of the lake. There was a guy fishing near us wearing a holster and gun - kinda scary. I quess it is legal in IN. We stayed 5 nights and would stay here again. - DKL1219

Everyone should avoid this campsite unless you are in dire need of rest. When you first pull up and are in front of the office there is this large mass of wood and trash that surround the stop sign. I thought that was a little strange. After getting past that, I walking into the office/laundry room which was filled with filthy junk. Upon waiting for one of the owners, outside I noticed sticks and bleach bottles hung everywhere inside and around the traffic cones that line the small roadway's inside the campground. I made the comment to my husband that it looked like something from the Blair Witch movies. The reason for the one star stems from the woman that owns the place. She is extremely rude and has no knowledge of how to help or talk to people. Our rig is 40ft. While the lots are fairly sizable, getting to them can be a little tricky. The awful lady owner that supposedly "helped" us had no idea how to guide us into the site. She had us going around the the drive (which is quite narrow) to get us into the spot she chose for us, all the while yelling at us in a very mean tone about what to do. I told my husband we could have done a better job if she'd would have just stayed out of it. I was so annoyed at the lady owner, I was asking my husband to just leave. Then the man that owns/runs the place showed up. He got us safely into the space. If it wasn't for that/him we would have left. I was so upset about how the lady owner treated us that I couldn't wait to leave this campground. I will say that once we were parked and setup, the grounds were okay. Nice shade trees and picnic tables. Even with the few things that we thought were amiable, they are not enough to compel us to ever go back again!! - BB31

Large state park with paved roads and sites. Sites are spacious. - Bjb1775
Oct 2018 - $32.00
Nice park, with friendly and helpful people. The roads are paved, as were the sites. Being from out of state, we had to pay $9, for a permit to enter the park. This was a one time fee we paid for the week we were there. All the connections were easy to locate and easy to get connected. We noticed that some sites had patios, but we didn't. Our site had a picnic table and a fire ring. All the sites we saw had picnic tables, while some sites had fire rings and some didn't. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did out AT&T phones and hot spots. We did find that when leaving the campground, our GPS wanted us to turn left on the main park road, to get out of the park, but there is no park exit that way. There is only one way in and out of the park. If you plan on being in the park near Halloween, you might call and see when they are doing their Halloween celebration, as they allow trick or treaters, and they close down traffic in and out of the campground, so the trick or treating can be done safely. This is a nice touch, since it is the first park we have seen that allows trick or treating. We would stay here again. - Bbtj

Great place to stay if you need to be near Louisville, Kentucky. It's just up the road but very convenient to either the east side of town (over the toll bridge) or downtown (over the regular bridge.) Both full hookup and water/electric sites available. Verizon service is good and there are a few OTA TV stations available. Full hookup sites are large and only minor leveling is needed. - DD Jones

One night stay. Was taken to easy pull thru site. Hookups well placed. Level gravel site. Bathroom older but clean. Was thanking owner for participating in PA then he started commenting that next year would not be PA. Any trouble he's had are PA members. PA members want everything and don't take responsibility for any damages. Sites were average size. Park has many seasonal and probably full time residents. - USA#1 RVr
Aug 2018 - $49.00
This was a one night stay. The park was clean but a typical Jellystone park. - Michael47
Aug 2018 - $24.00
Very well maintained beside a small lake. Owner greeted us warmly. We were only here one night but would certainly choose it again. - Lane Wise
Jun 2017 - $15.00
This is a nice stopping point for a night or two. Easy in and out and 1.1 miles from I-65 in Southern Indiana. They have 4 spots, but 2 are occupied by other campers that don't seem to be moving. Very nice neighborhood around the Lodge. They are open everyday at 11:00 and serve food all day. You must be a Moose member to camp here and enter the Lodge. The lodge is a non-smoking lodge. There is one water spigot for all 4 spots. We camped in the second spot and our hose was long enough to reach the water spigot. Each site has 50 amp service. There is no dump. The site is fairly level. - Cliff-fa-fa

Nastiest manager you'll ever meet. Trash everywhere. Dangerously exposed wires and sharp rusty pipes coming out of the ground in play areas that said manager refuses to remove. Floods every time it rains. Mud and dead grass everywhere. All concrete pads are crumbling. It is a stone's throw from 2 interstates which are VERY LOUD. Water is off more than it is on sometimes. The office is closed more than it is open and did I say the nastiest manager you'll ever meet? Go somewhere else. - HoosierRV
Dec 2015 - $48.00
This is a mobile home park that is converting some spaces to RV. The site conversions are not exactly RV friendly. Narrow concrete strips for the wheels, the jacks are on soft ground and the sewer is located under the RV. The streets have many speed bumps, many of the remaining mobiles homes should be removed and it is very noisy. There is constant noise from I-65, train horns several times a day and night, and the occasional plane traffic; not a peaceful location. We stayed here for 3 months while working for Amazon; the cost of the site was paid for by Amazon. This may develop into an acceptable RV park in a few years but it will always be noisy. The park is on the northern outskirts of Clarksville so shopping and other services are a few miles away.
The sites are level with broken concrete patios and grass areas. No tables or fire rings. 50 amp electrical.
The water is good quality city service but use a filter. The pressure fluctuates, especially in the morning.
There is no park provided cable or wifi. Service may be obtained from Time Warner. Typical OTA channels.
There is no laundry, pool, showers, park activities, etc. The staff is helpful, when asked, but otherwise they are rarely seen.
A mailbox can be purchased from USPS. UPS and FedEx deliver here, but have difficulties locating Lakeview Dr.
We will probably not be stay again as we have no desire to work for Jeffersonville Amazon (SDF8) again. - Wiyndog
Aug 2018 - $45.00
Sites very close together! A lot of long termers but they were friendly. Very nice camp hosts that are very involved ensuring that park is running smoothly. Good wifi. Over the air TV was good. Check or cash only. - CSM Carolyn
Aug 2018 - $40.00
Unattractive facility and lots of semi- permanents. Owners very friendly. Only takes cash or check.Odd sites but level with accessible and working hook-ups. . Good for overnight stay or for a few days if you're sight-seeing in Louisville. wi-fi good no cable. Did not use tv. Don't expect much. - Bosun

Not even a good spot for and overnight. Tight, dirty, and porly maintained. - Doc B
May 2015 - $30.00
We've stayed here numerous times, and have never had an issue. Most sites are level and easy to get in to. Plenty of hiking, fishing and boating for the family. Plus, the beach has an area for swimming in the lake.
Electric only, so make sure your water pump is working properly! - Griffin226
Apr 2014 - $20.00
On a positive note the lake is beautiful and the playgrounds are nice. However camp host did not keep dog on leash and it came barking and growling at my 3 year old. We had to pack up and move campsites because the 2nd day 4 families showed up and set up 5 tents in the same campsite beside us. There was no peace. The bath houses are old and need updated badly. The girl at the front gate was very courteous and the DNR officer that gave us a trail map was great, and very helpful. Probably will not return as there are too many other state parks in Indiana that are much nicer. - patch2361
Sep 2011 - $23.00
Our first stay here and will definitely return. Very large sites, most if not all of the sites are level with some shade. Lots of water faucets around the campground for fresh water. Several nice trails on the property, large lake w/ boat rentals, playgrounds and on-site naturist providing fun activities for the kids. There is also a raptor rehabilitation center on-site that is open to the public. - zenasboy

You're escorted to your site because it is so tight you couldn't see a number to save your backside! 40' fifth wheel - we had to be careful when putting out our awning - about 6" from neighbor's slide. Trains all night at the edge of the park, and planes land/take off overhead. On a positive note; a teeny bit better than a truck stop and staff meets you when you pull up to escort you and are friendly. The location is the only reason this park is able to fill up. Won't be coming back if we can even wedge out! Definitely not a relaxing campground - more of a place to park for a few hours sleep. - cajunsis
Jul 2018 - $42.00
You're escorted to your site - because the park is so tight that you need it! 37' motorhome and when we opened our slides we had to be careful as they almost touched the next door RV. Had to move picnic table to open the slides. Loud trains all night at the edge of the park, and planes land/take off overhead. On a positive note, the park is within minutes of Louisville and the staff is friendly. The location is the only reason this park is able to fill up - and the only reason I'd stay here again. - Tiara38
May 2018 - $46.00
This is a very crowded park and one we will probably not return to unless it is for a one day stay. We were escorted to our site. There is a convenience store and gas station onsite which is handy. You are close to many attractions. Our Dish satellite and Verizon worked well. - rolling homeless

Hidden Gem out in the country. Annual sites, primitive sites, modern sites. Restaurant and store. Nice lake with boating, fishing, and swimming. They have a camp store and restaurant but it had closed for the season. The closest town with stores and restaurants is Salem, Indiana around 8 miles away. - SkipIndiana
