We stayed at this campground using our Thousand Trails "Trails Collection" membership. The campground itself is an older campground with over 500 sites. Most, if not all, of the sites have electric and water. Many have full hookups. The main clientele is made up of seasonal campers. There are many nicely done spots, with park model trailers and attractive landscaping. There are also many sites for traveling/weekend campers. Less of them are FHU, but many of them are. The campsites are in a primarily pine forest with lots of shade (and pinecones). There's a big pool, a few playgrounds, and limited lake access. Only a very few spots actually afford lake views and they have been occupied by permanent residents for many years. Over the weekend the place was very busy. The campground, while not full, was well used and there were activities, mainly for the kids. It seemed that everyone had a campfire and at times the smoke was so thick it looked as if a heavy fog had descended on the place. Once the weekend passed and the majority of the campers left, the air cleared. Our only big complaint was associated with our arrival. Unlike Thousand Trails which is (supposedly) first-come-first-served so far as campsites are concerned, the Trails Collection campgrounds let you specify your site amenities, if available. At least that's how it is supposed to work. When we reserved we were told we would get a FHU site. When we arrived we were told that, in spite of the many vacant FHU sites, that we would have to take a water/electric site. That didn't work well for us, especially since we were in for a longer stay. Ultimately, we were given a FHU site. The lesson is, apparently, that even if you reserve a site with certain amenities you may not get them when you arrive. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there and would return. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very large park and could be a great park if TT would spend some money on maintaining the grounds. Tree limbs need to be trimmed back and sites need gravel added. We had to back around trees and parked autos left in street by full time people. Now the good points. Ladies at check in desk were very nice and helpful. The lake looked great with docks to tie your boat up too. The restrooms were clean but need updating. I talked to many full time people and they were all nice and helpful. We had a full hook spot 30 amp and all worked well. They were located at rear of coach. Our site was dirt but it did drain well and was hard packed. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Motorhome.

The showers were not very clean, very small and no privacy curtain for dressing. This is a huge park and over 4th of July weekend was packed. Sites are big but some pose a challenge backing into. Sites were very shady but as a result we couldn't get direct tv reception. Office personnel were vey helpful. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We came here on Father's Day weekend. It was busy, but there were still several sites available in our section. This campground is very unique in that there are two separate campgrounds on either side of the main road, one side seemed to be more "rustic" than the other. The park is big enough that you can bring your own golf cart, or rent one from the park - price depends on the day of the week and/or holidays. The campground has a swimming pool and a lake available for activities. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are Amish bakery items and ice cream for sale on the weekends at the front of the park. We went to Howe Restaurant and Hometown Family Restaurant for great food near the campground. Bontrager's RV surplus is nearby, too.

Called the Encore toll free number and was told PA rate is not valid for fhu sites. Called the cg direct and had no problem reserving a fhu site at the PA rate. Was assigned a site on the phone. On the day of arrival, the park called to ask if I would accept a different site. Current occupant wanted to stay longer. Sure, no problem. Was assigned a site 2 spots down and pretty much the same. Registration was a breeze. Lower gate card reader did not work, but the upper one did. Loop road in the RV area is narrow. Your coach will likely go off the asphalt, but it is not a big drop. Lots of trees, but not too close to the roads. Satellite reception could be a problem though. Only picked up a few channels by antenna. Camplink pay as you go wifi worked very well. Much better than Tengo and cheaper, too. Pool was not open, but the resort fee was still charged. Small fenced in dog area. This place is very big. It is real easy to walk your dog for a half hr on the paved roads, just make sure you pick up after your pet. Several trash dumpsters throughout so you're not carrying the poo for long. Some of the back in sites are really long, easily 60' - 70'. Pull thrus are probably in the 50' range. Some minor road noise from Hwy 120. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Huge flea market in Shipshewana is open Wed and Thurs in the summer. Lots of Amish restaurants and shops in the area. Lots of RV manufacturers in the area, too. Some offer factory tours.

Well when I reserved apparently I had not chosen a sewer site. Thought I did, but they upgraded for free so no complaints. The roads are narrow and the first site they wanted to put us in was very narrow and slightly sloped. I could have gotten in but went back and asked for a different site. We were in an area of seasonals. The first day we did have to climb on the roof of the rig and cut the low hanging branches back as they were hitting the roof in the wind. The sites are well treed and you are on pretty sandy soil but no sinking even after a few days of rain. The pool is nice as is the beach and lake. The lake access is small and far from where we were camped. All in All it is a decent place for the price. I do wish that TT/Encore/ELS would make an effort with their parks and make the seasonals keep their trailers up. Not a 10 year thing but just not look like they have not been repaired in the last decade. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Motorhome.

We came up here for a week to enjoy Shipshewana, and this campground is totally wooded. Where we were at was quiet, but the pine sap gets on your camper, and in it too. Other than that (no one can control nature), the campground was pretty clean. The pool is too small for how many can camp there, and we avoided it the whole weekend we were there. They have a lake you can go swim at (a real lake that is large--not a big water hole), and it was very nice swimming in that. There is a pizza deliver nearby that makes the best pizza we have ever had. A lot of people speed on the golf carts so you have to watch out for them, and kids won't and don't get out of the road when you are driving in or out of the place. Across the road are even more camp sites, but the roads are narrower over there. There were even a lot of Amish camping in the cabins when we were there. The staff is excellent. Super friendly, and we did have to go up front to use the Internet. Overall it is a nice place, and we would go there again. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed several nights. This is a TT membership park as well as a park for seasonals. This "could be" a wonderful park. We reserved a 50 amp full hookup site for our 40' 5th wheel. She tried to put us in the seasonal section 30 amp site even after reminding several times we needed and paid for 50 amp. It's like they pay no attention to what you say. The park is mostly 30 amp so keep that in mind if you have a newer, bigger unit. We refused that site due to the fact the road was narrow and the seasonals were parked on both sides of the road. The electric box looked like it was 30 years old. We do not feel (as did other members) that much money is going into the campground for needed repairs such as road, electric and low hanging trees. If TT would address these things it could be a very nice park. Also you park on grass if you wish to call it that, it was more like parking on pine needles and dirt. We had tree sap all over truck and RV. Sounds critical, but we really want to like this park and it has great potential if they would do some upgrades. That said, we eventually found a 50 amp site and had no issues with the electric. We stayed in the Whispering Pines section. The girl at the office gave us several sites to choose once she realized we were not going to accept 30 amp, from but that, found only 1 available that was some what level and easy for big rigs. We never used the pool or the mini golf so cannot review those. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 2 nights on the way to the Escapade. The park was not very full and we had a full hook up site. Lots of trees for shade. They were just opening up the pool but it looked very nice. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We had a full through site and it was plenty long. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice place out in the middle of no where. We stopped here to visit the DRV factory. Beautiful campground, lots of trees and very large. The office staff is very friendly. Opened the store up during closed time so I could pick up a needed item which was very nice of them. The sites are a little unlevel at times, but overall a very nice. Well laid out camp ground. Handles large MH with ease. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Motorhome.

Our site was level, electricity good, very quiet campground. We enjoyed our stay. That said, no TV because of the trees, Verizon broadband only 1 or 2 bars. They have WiFi but it is Tengo, meaning you have to pay. The restrooms were very dirty: looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days. That improved on Friday: once a week cleaning. Campground needs some TLC. We would stay here again. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was actually $0 since we are members. Large membership campground that is now open to the public. Many level wooded sites. Some sites require work to level. Because of the trees, satellite TV is impossible. Over the air TV is iffy. Verizon is 4G 2 bars. Very clean. Rest rooms are dated but clean. There is a swimming pool but it was closed because it was near the end of the season. They close November 1. Lots of seasonal units scattered throughout the park. Nice place if you want to get away from the TV and just relax. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Motorhome.

What a nice park. Clean and friendly. The only reason for an 8 instead of a 10 is the club house/office is rather old and not real nice and there is no cable TV. Our RV would not fit on the site originally assigned to us, and at check in, the lady upgraded us at no additional charge. Nice grassy wooded sites with fire rings and picnic tables. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Twin Mills Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground with lots to do. Quiet and peaceful during the week. Lots of activity on the weekend. Fairly good access. The problem we ran into is that the non-grassy sites are really messy with pine straw. It was wet when we were there and tracking into the RV was a mess. We had some confusion about our reservations, but they rectified the problem easily. We would come here again. Our dog knows campgrounds...she liked this one.
