Oh my gosh... Pulling in, we wondered "What the heck are we doing?" But we're desperate for electric, as we had been boondocking in the heat for two weeks. It was 95* when we pulled in!! A lot of seasonal RVers. A lot. It appeared to be a "neighborhood" of RVs, Campers, etc... We arrived, hooked up, turned on the air and stayed indoors that first day. We were parked at the first pull through next to the grassy area. Very level. Plenty of room. There was water. But no sewer. We have a 36' Class A and were able to dump just fine. The next day we sat outside and there was a fish fry, which we didn't attend, but one of the seasonal campers bought over a plate. They were also doing a CornHole Tournament, and after talking to a few of the seasonals, we entered. What fun we had!!! The owners, Ron and Julie were a blast, and they and a few other people came over to our site afterwards and hung out. If you are an uppity, stuck up person, this place is not for you. If you like a neighborly feel, where you can interact with others, drink a cocktail around the fire, then it's perfect. We camped at Spring Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is rustic to the extreme. Office is a rundown mobile home, but it does have a new coat of paint. The lady who checked us in seemed very nice and greeted us with a big smile, showing all five of her teeth! It is a rather pretty park but reminds me of the setting for the movie "Deliverance." Looks to be many monthly fisherman sites and younger construction workers, from the look of the people about.

All infrastructure looks very old and well used. Power (pedestals) are mostly old and not well designed. Voltage did seem to be stable, at least for a small RV with a low BTU air conditioner. Picnic tables provided but are in very poor condition. Looks like it could be difficult to get out if it should rain very much.

We found the directions to the park very difficult to follow, and it was much farther from the highway than we were lead to believe. Since it was the only park we could locate in the area, we came anyway and for a 1 night stop. The value is probably good, but we would not be comfortable staying here for very long.

Nice enough people but just not our social set since we don't drink "Bud" in large volumes. We camped at Spring Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.

After staying here and reading the previous reviews, I couldn't stop laughing. It is full of permanent trailers with parties on the weekends. Some of the trailers are older than me and I am in my 40's. People are mostly friendly and really enjoy the adult beverages. I do agree about the bathrooms and showers. They are so bad that none of us would shower there. The state parks have much better facilities. The dump station is not worth the effort and they only a few sites with sewer. The water was the worst. It actually stained our water lines, toilet and shower in our camper. Not a place I would choose to go back to at all. We camped at Spring Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I suppose this place does qualify as a “campground” but you need to know what you’re getting into up front. I’m really not trying to be rude or mean, but this is more of a: “park your trailer for 15 years and come fish on the weekends” kind of place. It’s old and dilapidated, and just a bit on the scary side, if you ask me. I kept waiting for some guy to come ask me if I wanted some special recipe sausage or some guy to show up in a hockey mask or something. Don’t even think about asking for a refund, it’s printed in large bold print on your receipt: “NO REFUNDS.” So, like I said just know what you’re getting into before you think this is a KOA: it’s not! I gave it 2 stars out of pity. We camped at Spring Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Without a doubt the worst campground we've ever been in. No rules at all. Our neighbors were up partying loudly at 3AM and staff does nothing. On our second night we were treated to a live episode of something like the "Jerry Springer" show when a woman and her male 'friend' fought for over an hour - punching, kicking, screaming, cursing, crying, yelling, more cursing and yet more cursing. When looking for the camp manager the next morning, he was over at the offending campsite hanging out with the 'fighters' and drinking beer and playing games at about 11AM! The dump station was pathetic. The fresh water hose at the dump station has it's valve under ground! To turn the water on and off you had to get down on all fours and reach into some sort of ditch and under a sheet of nasty, rotted plywood to reach the spigot. The restrooms were awfull. The camp office was a rundown trailor that looked to be ready to collapse. The pool was not open and looked to be in horrid condition. Many. many, permanents here. Most of which are not kept up very well. I seriously think they could have filmed the movie "Deliverence" here. This place was that bad. The only reason it gets a "1" rating is because "0" is not a choice. Stay away from this place at all costs. We camped at Spring Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.
