Sep 2014 - $19.00
Basic parking space with hook-up for overnight. No frills but nice low price. This is 2nd stay here and would stay again. - Tireman9
Aug 2012 - $20.00
Very good value with Passport America. This is our second stay here. Makes a good base for seeing the area. Michigan City is a short drive away and the Indiana Dunes NL are a bit further. We had a 30 FHU on a slab not quite large enough for us. Very good TV reception with bat-wing and Verizon broadband connected at 4G. - Bob and Inga
Jun 2012 - $30.00
Stayed here as an overnight, we did not unhook from the truck as this was simply a pitstop. I would not recommend this campground as anything else. There are hookups and not much else, but it is convenient as it's right off of the highway. If noise is an issue for you, this park is not for you. We had our air on, so it did not bother us. The dog in the previous posts is a bit of a pest, even for dog lovers. He jumped up on me right away, and follow us to the site. As I travel with two large dogs, this was an issue. I could not let them out until I chased him away. Very basic, convenient, no frills park. We would stay again, for a quick in and out overnight only. - dustwanderlust

Aug 2017 - $36.00
Worst campground we have visited. We were told on arrival, that even though we had reservations for three days, we would need to move sites after one day.
The second site had issues with the electricity, 30 amp would not work. They didn't have anyone to fix until the day we would be leaving.
When I voiced my concerns, the owner just said he really didn't care because they are always sold out. We would never consider staying here again. Lots are very close to each other. Site surface was gravel and featured a fire ring and picnic table. - EWR
Jul 2017 - $46.00
Sites were very cramped and basically dirt, rocks and weeds. Campground does have a pool for kids but overall not someplace we would stop again. The water was brown and seriously stained our toilets (seemed to be rust). $46 a night for this place is way too much. - TzuTraveler
Nov 2016 - $40.00
Nice park, nice staff. Level pull through site. Close to shopping. It was really quiet when we were there out of season. We stayed here mainly to go visit Chicago. Drive into town and board the commuter train that takes you into downtown Chicago for just a few dollars. - Voyageurs

Jul 2013 - $45.00
I've camped in over 50 campgrounds and this was one of my least favorite. It's nearly all seasonals, who were welcoming and friendly, with somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 sites available for visitors. The reservation process was simply a matter of getting someone to answer the phone, and no confirmation was provided other than being told my name was "on the board." At check in we waited for someone to find the person who works in the office. Our site was basically in someone's yard and the fire ring was within reach of their tethered dogs. There's a pool but it was packed with regulars who were throwing a party. No other amenities. The restaurant is not affiliated with the campground but is within walking distance. - McNamara's Band
Jun 2012 - $20.00
Friendly, helpful with directions and took us to site. Had a 4th of July celebration on July 1st for weekend campers. Afternoon, a band was playing at the pool pavilion, and an evening meal offered by the park with meat, buns and serving needs provided, just bring a dish to share. Very nice. Nice pool and neat surroundings. Well kept. Tight turns on the well maintained roads. - StLouieEd
Aug 2010 - $25.00
This was a nice clean park. The owners were some of the nicest people I have meet yet RV'ing. The town of New Carlisle is small, so getting use to the small town life maybe a little different. You could see Hudson Lake from campground. It's a clean lake, a good size for boating and water stuff. The park has stuff to do every weekend. The only bad thing was the train tracks were very close. Trains do come through all night. They don't blow a horn at night, but you do hear the car's on the tracks. If it was not for the trains, this park would have gotten a higher rating. We would come back with train's and all. - rv1

Pool was green. Office wasn't open when supposed to be. Our site that was reserved was given to someone else. Mini golf was in disrepair. Bathrooms dirty and falling apart. Sites were not marked clearly. So unsure which power post was for our site. People driving both cars and golf carts while drinking. There was a DUI where the driver drove off the road, got stuck on a rock/tree stump, manager was called and they never came. Quiet hours not enforced. If you are looking for a family campground this is not the place for you. - Jenny42093
May 2017 - $35.00
This place is not worth the money. New campsites were put in the middle of a road. There were no picnic tables or fire rings. The pool was not heated, like the website claims. The dumpsters were not emptied before the busy weekend. People speeding in their vehicles. I'm shocked no kid was hit. No rules enforced. One campsite had a hunk of junk in his yard. No activities for kids. No rules applied. The owners don't care about anything but making money. Dont camp here, spend your money elsewhere. - Campinlady
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Looks from the outside are deceiving. Our first camp site was way in the back of park on a muddy VERY SMALL lot. Asked to be moved to a other lot, no problem. Ordered firewood from them that was so wet it wouldn't light. Tried hooking up TV but we needed a more powerful antenna. No restrooms or showers.
The name "mini" is exactly what you'll get.
Staff was very accommodating, but WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! - Cookie hunnicutt

Sep 2015 - $42.00
We camped in a 34 foot motor home. We were in a pull through site close to the office. It had poured and the gravel site was wet and soggy. We turned down the first site for being flooded. WiFi was OK. The entrance road switched suddenly from paved to gravel with many potholes, bushes and shrubs needed to be trimmed. Although it was on I-30 we were not disturbed by the sounds. It was very convenient but over priced for a campground that needs to be updated. - rvflight
Sep 2015 - $32.00
This campground is older but pretty and clean. They were friendly. Lots grass back-in sites. Pull thru sites are gravel and fairly level. Power was excellent. TV was good with antenna. - saw2
May 2013 - $30.00
We used this as an overnight stop on a westward trip. It is close to US-30 and does have traffic noise. We had a shaded site and Wi-Fi was quite good. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Sites along the small pond were all seasonals and folks there were friendly. We walked around and there is a nice playground, horseshoes, volleyball, and other activities. But this is not a destination campground. Some of the negatives other than the noise: sites at back were set up for double hookups with one camper in front of another and no easy way to get in and out; low tree branches at some sites would preclude taller rigs or hamper driving; entrance way is off US-30 and over train tracks that have a bump. If you are in the area and need a spot for a night or two, this is a good choice. We'd stop here again, but not if it were busy and we had to take a double hook at the back. - Too-wow

Only stayed one night but it was a very nice campground. We arrived late and had some trouble figuring out which sites were open as a number were taken but had no tag hanging on the pole. The host was very helpful and was able to give me a list of sites we could use that would fit our pop up. Site was very convenient to bath house, which had multiple private separate showers. The mosquitoes were pretty bad when we arrived, a screened enclosure would be a good thing to pack. - TDC
Sep 2016 - $9.00
Half price with federal Senior Pass. You must pay with a credit card at a machine near the entrance. I don't believe that cash is an option. First come - first served, no reservations. There are two loops. I stayed in the Mather loop. Shady sites. No hookups. The camp ground did not fill on a week night in mid-September. Weekends might tell a different story. Water is available at a few pumps scattered around the campground. Clean flush toilets. Unusual for the Nat'l Park Service, the campground had showers. Unfortunately, my shower never had hot water. Plenty of privacy with dense under story beneath the trees. Some road noise from a nearby highway but not bad. I would stay here again. - Teardrop11
Jun 2016 - $9.00
NPS campground with hot showers. A real bonus for dry camping. Sites perfect for our 27 ft mh. Level, not sure big rigs would fit. Great shade on a hot day. 1.5 miles to Lake Michigan, good bike ride. - USA16RVer

We've been coming hear every year for 6 years, sometimes twice a year. The park has improved each year since we first came. The people that run it are sometimes difficult to understand, but they are very nice and help in any way they can. The park is very quiet even on holidays. The revelry stops a little after dark, so everyone can get a good nights sleep. It is well off the beaten path, no traffic noise. You can hear the train sometimes off in the distance, but I find it soothing not annoying. Will likely continue to come as long as we are able. - mjlayton
Aug 2015 - $37.00
Indiana Dunes State Park was full so I ended up staying here. I was under a tree and the site was fairly level. The owner said the hiking trails were closed due to limbs being down & the pool was closed because of recent treatment with chemicals. I didn't use the facilities because I was alone and a little spooked by the obviously lived-in trailers that were very unkempt. Not all of them were that way, but at least three were a mess. It's obvious they're trying because they've built new cabins and new bath houses, but why put your money into that if you're going to leave all the construction rubble behind? The owner told me to look for my own site and if the electric box says OK, it works. Well, I looked and there were no signs anywhere. Fortunately, a worker came around and he tested it for me. Sure enough, dead. So, he tested another and that one was fine. There's a playground for the kids and a pool but it wasn't open. All in all I wouldn't say it was a bad visit but I sure didn't want to stay another day or night. I wouldn't recommend it. - Givmeabr8k
Jul 2012 - $35.00
Stopped here for a night. It is about 3 miles off the interstate driving through a neighborhood and cornfields. The turn into the campground is a bit tight for a big rig. The sign is old and advertised a religious camp. The office is sparse, only a desk and a few things for sale. The person in the office was Asian and did not speak much English. He did not ask how big our rig was, just said he had water and electric available. We told him we were over 40ft with our tow vehicle so he gave us a grass site with water and electric. The site was only 20 amp so we asked for another which was 30amp. The electric quit working after about an hour and the office was closed, so we had no power which was hard on our dog. The restrooms were ok. We would not stay here again. - mohocamper

Nice place to stay. Helpful staff. Clean and modern shower/bathrooms. Cement pads. Nice trees and well spaced sites. Off season is nice, not crowded. - Chicago47
Sep 2017 - $30.00
This is a fantastic campground situated right on Lake Michigan, easy to navigate with long, level, paved campsites. Good separation from neighbors. We stayed here 9/11 to 9/15. There are many dune trails to hike, although we didn't do any hiking while we were there. We were in site 125 (electric only), but had to run off 30 amp power as our surge protector showed a reverse polarity error when plugged into the 50 amp outlet. We told the maintenance man, who looked at it but wasn't able to fix it while we were there.
The pavilion near the beach was closed for the season, and we heeded the dangerous condition signs posted for no swimming or wading in the lake. Bathrooms were clean, and shower area had a few bugs and no place to hang items (like clothes or a towel), but had good water pressure. There is also a one-time $12 fee for non-residents when entering the campground. Overall a very nice campground and we would stay here again. - RVIN 24-7

Jun 2017 - $30.00
Nightly rate does not include the $9 entry fee (one time fee) for out of state residents. The $9 fee applies only to motorhome if towed car is hooked up; otherwise you have to pay for both vehicles. Sites are 30 amp electric only. Site 74 is spacious, gravel/grass mix and level, but many sites have a slight grade. Verizon cell/MiFi reception was good. Good satellite television reception at our site. Trees may block reception at many sites. We stayed for five nights to visit family in South Bend and will stay again. There are low hanging branches along the entrance road and the campground road. The campground is popular on summer weekends and a reservation is probably needed. - Dave51
Jun 2017 - $28.00
Wonderful state park with very friendly staff who keep the campground spotless. Bathrooms were constantly being cleaned, even when they didn't need it! Nice lake (Worster) for swimming and fishing (although we have never caught much here). They have Osprey that inhabit the lake area and are a pleasure to watch. Decent easy hiking in the park and during the summer months there are programs at the Nature Center which are interesting and well-thought-out. It's a bit of drive for us to get here (we live in Chicago and the drive to Indiana always stinks) but it's worth it. We'd definitely stay again. - EllenT
May 2017 - $41.00
Out of State more expensive, campsite was muddy, only 30 amp. Most Expensive State Park we stayed in on 3300 mile trip. - Sundancer268

We found EZ Kamp on Google Maps. We just needed a place to stop for the night with electric. We called ahead since we would probably be arriving after dark. The owner was helpful and friendly. He said just come on in and ring the bell as they live upstairs. It was after 9 pm by the time we got there. No problem getting to site. It was an all grass pull-thru with no trees to avoid. We didn't even unhook for the night. The location is very convenient to the highway. We've read reviews before about highway noise. If a park is near the highway you should expect that and we aren't bothered by that. We would stay here again if we're in the area. - Pphil
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Stayed 3 nights. Found that things have improved greatly since our stay 2 years ago. Electric and water were very good (we use a surge protector and a water pressure regulator). The new owners are working very hard to improve this Campground and their efforts are appreciated. Will stay here again. - loneranger
Jun 2014 - $30.00
New owners as of April 2014. By their own admission, they were unaware of how to run a campground but are open to suggestions. We stayed 3 nights to visit friends in nearby Culver so didn't use any facilities. From the road it looks like a lovely park but many of the sites haven't been used in months. No gravel or concrete pads, tables, etc. Pool was being redone so not usable. Roads not well marked and office is hard to find. Felt the $30 + tax very high for what we received. Will check out other options when next in the area. - KarenK
