Security is good during the week, but as for weekends it's not good. Water smells like sewage and is brown colored . We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

There was a time, many years ago, when this was a great campground. That is no longer the case, as it is now run down and in poor shape.

Sites are very close together and just unmowed grass, with picnic tables that are falling to pieces. On the plus side, they were at least level. Electric was good but water was terrible, with so much rust in it that it clogged my filter immediately. The showers smelled of the rust as well, I just turned it back off and decided to wait until my next stop.

Many, many well established seasonals in this campground. Some keep nice sites, others not so much. Roads were worn down, as was the mini golf course, and parts to a ride were scattered about the tennis courts, which had not seen use in a very long time. The water play area looked nice, the camp store was well stocked and staff was very friendly.

Campground is only worth a single night if visiting the amusement park. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Indiana Beach is a cool, small amusement park just a five minute walk away. They also run a shuttle trolley and a ferry to the park.

Check-in staff seemed put out to check anyone in even though only two of in office at the time. Wi-Fi almost non existent after paying extra for it. Lots of seasonal campers, which is fine as we were put by one and they were great. Kids run rampant at all hours of the night. There is no enforced speed limit. What swimming area that once was there is run down and nonfunctional. Fortunately there were 2 sewer hook ups there as the first one we opened had ants and maggots dwelling in it. Mini golf course is non functional. We won't be back. It is a shame as this could be a great facility if management would do some upgrades. I guess they figure why bother if people keep coming. Sad really. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

Dirty, trash bins full, roads are awful, sites are just grass and overgrown. Trees need cutting, tables need upgrading. Folks just pass this one by. Old, needs upgrading. Put us under a dead tree. Lots of full time sights, that have been here a while. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Filthy bathrooms!! We actually took pictures to the office to make our point. The one nearest our location was closed, but did reopen the next day. We were hosting a rally and when our guests tried to make reservations, it took many attempts to get anyone to answer the phone. Several ended up calling New York (main office) to make reservations. Only one trolley was running and it would take patrons to the south end of the beach to a swinging bridge, not the amusement park itself. Several in our group were handicapped and unable to use the swinging bring, so did not go to the amusement park. They had shut down the closer road to the trolley due to the poor conditions of the roads in the amusement park. Several of the workers did their best to help, but their hands are tied. The new owners have certainly let the campground deteriorate into a very sad state. We had been their a few years before and were very happy.....no one is our group will ever go back. There is no refund given...for any reason. They only give camping credit for another time. Think hard before you commit to this Campground!! This park is no longer a NASCAR facility. It is now called Indiana Beach RV Resort. We used to come here yearly but skipped 2014 due to all of the changes in the park. Decided to try again this year and it was a little better. Lawn wasn't mowed yet where we camped (site F-46). The amusement park wasn't open while we were there (Mother's Day Weekend). We did drive over there but the place looked deserted. The cable channels were good but did not get any WiFi reception at our site. The camp store looked well stocked. It was quiet at night but probably because it began to rain. Otherwise, the teenage seasonals seems to take over the roads on their golf carts. Picnic tables needed replacing. It is still a good place for our weekend "shake down" cruise, but would not spend a week there. This campground is a part of a resort. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an amusement park there but it wasn't open yet when we camped on Mother's Day weekend. There is a nice Walmart, a large grocery store, and a Rural King in the town of Monticello, not too far from the campground.

This park was purchased by a corporation recently. Lots of changes, lots of upgrades. However, the price has gone way up. I think they charge too much for what you get. Almost $50 a night for a parking spot? They do have good hookup's, plus cable TV. Some sites are close together, but this is a very large park, over 1000 sites. The bus/ferry to Indian Beach is nice, but it's not a far walk either. Lots for kids to do: mini golf, batting cages, arcade, nice swim 'castle' thing. Overall it's a really fun place to stay. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

The park is huge with many seasonal campers. The grounds need maintenance help. The employees were disinterested. I remember the amusement park being nice, but it is in disrepair and needs work. The camp store is nice, but needs more items for sale. This place was great and could be again, but it needs some TLC and involved management to get improvements moving. The only bad things I can say about this park is that the restrooms are in desperate need of updating. The garbage dumpsters were overflowing on Thursday when we checked in, and I had to take a cold shower on Saturday morning due to the exponential influx of people. Other than that, it was clean, and I was shocked that with as many people that were there, we didn't really hear them; they were very quiet after hours. No swimming pool! Part of the amusement park, therefore everything cost. For 1030 campsites the campground was not of resort quality. The campground was similar to a rural 30 site campground. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Our site was tight. Could reach our neighbor from our window. Need to let campers know not to leave the garbage for a pick-up. It is not available, and there were all kinds of bags laying around at sites. Nice to have the tram and boat available to go to Indiana Beach at no charge. Cable TV there, but better bring a splitter as you share the one cable line with your neighbor, and no air TV there. Lots to do at Indiana Beach...will probably go again for something to do. Our site was narrow enough that we had to position the slideout carefully between a tree and the service post. Many of the sites are set up so that you are arranged door-side to door-side, resulting in a lack of privacy. It took two days to get rid of a bad barking dogs situation The shuttle service to the waterpark worked out very well. This is a good place to go if you have kids. Prepare to bring extra money as in-the-park activities are not included in your site fee. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Fifth Wheel.

The people working at the campground were very nice and helpful. The campground is well maintained and very neat and clean. The only draw back I seen was your door faces the door of the camper in the next site. If you don't know the people in the next site it can be uncomfortable. We had very nice neighbors. They had a tram that ran through the campground on a regular bases to take you to the amusement park, which was great, we never drove the whole time there. We stayed late at the amusement park for the fire works as did many other people but the tram ran until everyone was back at the campground. The kids had a great time. They have a water park in the campground that cost $6.00 a day, it looks like fun but it rained the last day we were there so we didn't get to use it. Sites were so close together that we would not even consider doing a fire, fearing that we may burn our neighbors car! Some of the sites are set up to face one another, very awkward unless you know the other camper. Lots of tent campers around our site that partied into the night and played loud music. As for the campground facilities I found the sites to be pretty well maintained. The store, water play area, mini golf is nice but expensive. The tram from the campgrounds to the amusement park is handy, but is pretty much a necessity because there is limited parking near the amusement park. My kids did enjoy the rides at the park...but my honest opinion overall is that this area seems to attract a lower class then I prefer to spend time with. Like a carnival would, and so we don't plan to return. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here passing through for two nights. The camp site was clean and large. The downside is that your door faces the door of the person camping next to you so you sit and look at each other a lot. There is no pool at the campground and you have to pay extra to use the beach across the road. The campground is very large and on a busy weekend very loud. They do have lots of security walking around though. We camped at Indiana Beach Campground (formerly Nascar RV Resorts) in a Travel Trailer.
