This park has everything a family could want, from a water park, pool, miniature golf, playground, paddle boats, etc. The setting is serene with lots of shade and lots of room to walk. That being said, the management should be ashamed at the amount of litter all over the park. It detracts from the potential beauty of the place. We were given one of the poorest sites in the place, right near the activity center. I went to ask for another, and was given my choice of many empty sites. We chose a more private one that was very difficult to back into, but once in and level, was a nice site with no neighbors. They rent golf carts, which are a real nuisance especially on the weekends, with many kids driving them. If you go weekends in the fall, be prepared for Halloween mania. I'm told they are full much of the summer, and if all the golf carts are rented, it must be wild. Once the weekend crowd left, things were very pleasant so we opted to stay for another day. We would come back but only during the week in the off season. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Holiday world and a big Christmas shop very near.

We stayed 3 nights to see the area & 1 night to wait out a storm.

The park is an easy 8 miles from Interstate 64 (Exit 63) along a good state highway (SR-162).

The park has several nice features but they were closed for the season. Some folks received an escort to their site. We did not.

The interior roads are paved. Some of them were narrow with tight turns & steep grades. The site parking pads were concrete, paved, or gravel. This is another park that doesn't understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level parking pad! There are a limited number of sites that appeared level. Those with a pitch had a single or double pitch. There is not much privacy between the sites as the sites are close to each other. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50 amp), and sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. There was an outside table and fire pit.

There is an extensive tree canopy which almost restricts satellite reception. Fortunately, we asked for an received a site with satellite access. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels.

The provided WiFi was adequate. Our NET10 phone reception was acceptable.

No designated fenced pet area but there was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads as long as you don't mind walking up steep hills. There were bag dispensers and cans to collect waste.

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. No structure was identified as a severe weather shelter.

Would not want to be here when the park is full. Probably would not stay here again if we returned to visit the area attractions. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were able to make a day trip to George Rogers Clark National Historic Park and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial.

Stayed here in our 33' trailer, and overall the stay was very pleasant. The primary purpose was to use this while we went to Holiday World. Check-in was easy. The staff very friendly. The park outlay was very nice with well paved roads. Many "permanent" rental sites but those sites were well maintained. Backing into our site was easy with no issues. The site itself was so so. Being very close to one of the camp stores ensured we had a steady stream of traffic to include the rentable golf carts from from the campground, which we did get. But I have to say between this stay and our last stay at a TT in TN I am beginning to have a disdain for golf carts. The ones here even though electric, they provide charging stations, had this annoying beeeeeeeeppppp when placed into reverse. You heard this sound throughout the night even after quiet hours. Very distracting. The camp store was very well maintained but for the one item we did need, paper plates, they were out and not expected to get any for a day or two. The big draw is its proximity to Holiday World Amusement Park and the free shuttle which takes you right to the front of the park. The campground has a nice water park but it costs extra, I believe. I am torn between recommending this park for anything more than a place to stay for Holiday World. I do not think it offers much more than that. But we were satisfied and would stay here again for the same reason. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Golf carts, skip them unless using water park in the campground. Find site away from intersections and especially adjacent to one of the camp stores. Double check price as I don't think they applied our Good Sam discount.

Yes its close to Holiday World otherwise we wouldn't stay there. Park is fine but the staff isn't very friendly and we had a terrible time making reservations. If you actually talk with a person since nothing is ever available online and then if after waiting on hold for ever they don't send you to a mailbox its over priced in my opinion. Next time we will be staying at the state park instead. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Staff was top notch friendly and helpful. New bathhouse by pool is as nice as any seen. Impressed that even campground pool fully staffed by lifeguards. Sites were pretty tight getting in and out and would be VERY tight if area had been full. Love shuttle to Holiday World. Although area is remote, there is Dollar General, hardware store and grocery right outside main gate but nothing else for 20+ miles. Enjoyed our stay. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We chose this campground for the pull-through site as we would be late and did not want to unhook the toad. Check-in was easy but we had no escort or directions to the site. Roads are narrow and not well lit or marked after dark. Might be fine in daylight, but took almost 30 minutes to get on the site. Bathrooms were nice, park seemed to be nice if you were going to the amusement park. Would never recommend for a stopover. Very pricey for coming in late and leaving early with no assistance. Would be very tight for large rigs. We would not return. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in the off season, so I feel that I can't accurately judge. The staff woman was clueless. I told her my trailer was 34 feet and she asked me if I wanted a 30 foot site. Then she did not know how to run my credit card so I had to go and get cash from the car to pay here. The place was huge, but it was all closed up for the winter. I can see how this could be overrun with kids in season. The park was fine. The Wi-Fi was terrible! No AT&T cell service. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here after the summer rush and it was quiet. Only 2 pull throughs that are really back to back back ins. Not very level and tight fit so we took another spot and disconnected our toad. Once you figured out how to access Wi-Fi, it worked well. TV on the antenna was good. Plenty of shade trees. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here when the theme park next door was closed. As a result, it was very quiet and pleasant. We didn't get time to use the pool, but the kids enjoyed the playground. This park is huge, and golf carts are available to rent in order to cover the distances. From what I was told, you can reserve one, and it will be waiting at your site. Over all, this is a nice place with several things to do in the area that focus around the theme park. However, I can see the park getting hectic during the busy season when it is packed with families. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large campground and for its size was quiet! Bathrooms/shower houses were clean and nice. Campground store very nice and well stocked with all kinds of stuff. You can buy tickets here for Holiday world, and they are $5 discounted through the campground. Wi-Fi is fairly decent. Swimming pool in the park was very nice. Video game room for kids, games are pretty outdated, but ok for small kids. Shuttle available to Holiday World, but can be very crowded, so we just drove over to the park. Free parking and only a 2 minute trip there from the campground, so just drive over. There is golf cart rentals in the campground. The only problem with the campground while we were here, was that with all of the teenagers here for Holiday World, there was A LOT of traffic with the golf carts. Mostly teenagers, and they drive way too fast. We saw a bunch of near miss accidents while here, and would not let our 7 year old ride his bike because of the high golf cart traffic. Very nice park. Comments on golf carts are valid, but we didn't find them to be a problem. Security guards continually monitor the golf cart traffic. The staff were helpful and worked with us to find a new site when the assigned site was too small. The campground is large but offers very nice sites that are not overly tight. The park is next door and shuttles run continually, although its a short walk. Would definitely camp here again. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is our second time at this park and it won't be our last. The staff was very helpful as usual and the amenities are great. The bathrooms were clean, the pool was great, and the convenience of the bus stop for Holiday world is great. They also have many daily activities for the kids. This is just a great all around campground. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I think this park is fairly rated by both Woodall's and Trailer Life (one of the few I might add) The park is nice and the staff was very friendly. The only warning I would have is if you have a big rig (we have a 43ft) when they reserve a spot for you they go strictly by length and power (30/50 etc) and not whether you can actually get into the spot. Most of the young people who work there (including phone reservations) have no clue how a motor home or long 5th wheel maneuvers. We would stay here again. Great place to camp. Fun things for everyone to do. Unfortunately, they do not allow you to bring you own golf cart. They do rent them, but it is pricey. They do have shuttles running through the campground, which is really nice. The shuttles will even take you right to the gate at Holiday World and then pick you up and take you right back to your site. Very nice! Large pool, nice large updated play areas. Lake for fishing or canoeing. Large general store. Overall, great place to stay! We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground. Check in was fast and easy. Our site was clean and very nice. We were a short walk from the pool and snack shop. The bus stop was also a short walk. They have a shuttle service to Holiday World and other locations around the park, it is a fairly large park and this comes in handy if you don’t have a golf cart. There was plenty of activities for the kids; crafts, bingo, movie nights, karaoke. The staff was mostly teenagers but they were very helpful and courteous. Holiday World and Splashing Safari were great! We all had a blast. The town of Santa Claus is pretty small but there is a nice grocery store that has just about anything you would need. The combination of a great campground and the amusement /water parks make this a perfect destination for families. We can’t wait till our next visit!
