Small (less than 50 RV sites) but very clean and well-maintained park. Our site was a level gravel pull-through with electric and water. There was highway noise if that sort of thing bothers you. Park Wi-Fi signal was good. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Campground is located just north of all the shops and restaurants in Shipshewana. Look for the custard shop on the corner. We were here to check out the RV surplus stores in the area. The office recommended the Howe Restaurant in Howe just a few miles away. It is a clean American-style family restaurant. We received 10% off our bill with our campground windshield tag.

This is a very pleasant park. Probably the biggest downside is that it is located at an intersection with a lot of noise from traffic stopping and starting even though the sites are back from the road. WiFi was very good. TV reception was marginal. Trees give some shade and privacy. It is about 3 miles to Shipshewana; away from the traffic in town. There were some shower maintenance (drainage) and cleanliness issues. The adjacent frozen custard stand is an everyday temptation. We will definitely return to this campground when we are in the area. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Travel Trailer.

Check out the Scherger's Kettle Jams in Shipshewana. It's near the Bread Box Bakery that also carries the jams and jellies.

Located at the corner of SR 5 and SR 120, with easy access from I-80/90 and roughly 4 miles north of Shipshewana, this park is a good place to stay while exploring the area. The Flea Market on Tuesdays and Wednesdays attracts a lot of visitors, creating gridlock on the town's roads, so we were glad we hadn't opted for the south campground. There are nice shaded sites, but the electrical post is shared, which can be awkward if both RVs need 30 amp plug ins. The host kindly lent us a 50 to 30 amp adapter so we could safely hook up. There is quite a lot of traffic noise, day and night, from the intersection, as this is heavily traveled by trucks going down to Elkhart. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The frozen custard/ice cream stand on the property is positively addictive! The Das Dutchman Essenhaus restaurant in nearby Middlebury has the best Amish food and bakery in the area. The German Chocolate pie is to die for.

Good campground to stay at. Trees make your site seem private. Lots are spacious and offer some shade. Site surface is gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. You share the post with another site, so first come gets the 50 amp. Management was very friendly. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Motorhome.

Nice campground with lots of pine trees. (several that need trimming!). This is a good place to stay when visiting Shipshewana. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. Sprint cell service is iffy, ATT ok. Free wi-fi is super (but there were very few campers here this early in the season). Our site was a little short--couldn't get both the 30' 5th wheel and the truck on gravel without sticking out in the street. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First of all, there are 2 Shipshewana Campgrounds in Shipshewana. North is the smaller but in this reviewers opinion the better. The other puts campers right on top of each other, and has much less shade. North is 3 miles north of town. Shady. Bathrooms were spotless. Ice cream store on premises. This is a great Amish community with buggies everywhere! We had a great visit, as our camper is a Jayco, so we were able to take a factory tour while we were here, also. Great services. Artsy town. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 5 nights, nice clean grounds with level gravel back ins and pull thru and grass around sites. Little road noise from intersection of 5 and 120 highways, didn't bother us. Campers were mainly 50+ that stayed here. Not every site had a fire ring, have to ask for one in office or get one from another site not being used. Not much for children to do. Antenna received all air broadcast stations. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoyed the area, an Amish community. Loved the drive to towns around Shipshewana and seeing the buggies and Amish farms. The food was excellent. Yoders hardware had everything imaginable. Tues and Wed. they have huge Auction in the barn that was crazy, full of primitives. Flea market was just ok, too much commercial products, not crafts. Also went to Elkhart and visited RV Museum. Very nice displays of the way people used to camp, full of history.

Very close to town for you walkers. Park is clean and and simple to get settled. The bathrooms are clean along with the showers, but are in need to modernize. Campfires are not allowed, but in one place there is a communal campfire. Friendly staff. Monday nites are usually full because of the Flea Market on Tuesday so call ahead. We have been staying here for 8 years and nothing has changed in that time. No activities for the kids big and small. No pool but that is something we don't use anyway so we can do without. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tuesdays are for the Flea Market: many vendors from junk to great stuff, it runs the whole gamut. If you don't like walking AND you don't have a scooter they rent them. Be there early. If you have a scooter you ride down to the Market its about 500/600 feet north of CG.

This is our second visit to this nice campground. Most sites are reasonably level and satellite friendly. The free WiFi was okay as well. This CG is a bit pricy, considering gravel/dirt pads and (in our case) the electric was on one side and water/sewer the other. Fortunately, we travel with extensions for all utilities. That said, Shipshewana North is ideally located and quiet, except for some highway noise. We will definitely return here again. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is close to Flea Market held on Tuesdays & Wednesday. Thought the campground was a bit expensive for a W/E (30-amp) back-in site but we opted for this campground due to its location. Adjacent to very busy highway with many truckers using their Jake brakes. If you are a light sleeper, you may have some issues with this. Showers and toilets are in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. Shower curtain in the mens shower was just plain gross! And we did let the campground office know. Wi-Fi was strong at our site but went down in the evening after the office closed. Convenient to Elkhart with many RV manufactures, RV Hall of Fame and RV Surplus shops. Gravel sites in need of some leveling. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is nice, clean, quiet and well taken care of. Sites are level but some are close together. CG is close to town and Shipshewana Flea Market. NO FIREPIT at campsite. You have to bring your own pit or go to community fire pit. We did know this and brought our own pit. WIFI and tv antenna worked good. Water, sewer, electric hookups where good. Sometimes have farm smells but not too bad. This is second time staying at CG and we will be back. Staff was very nice and friendly. CG has a nice dog walk area. One downfall this stay was that the staff started using a tree branch chipper to grind up branches etc. Noise was to the point that we needed hearing protection (no joke). They ended up stopping after about 15 minutes. Good thing because we were getting ready to say something. Would recommend that they do this in the off season when there are no campers around. Overall, nice CG, staff and area. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful campground, which is close to Shipshewana. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Ice cream/Frozen Custard stand is located within the park. Campsites are large and streets are big rig friendly. The cabins located within this park are nested within the tress. Our campsite needed some minor leveling. DirecTV (free standing satellite) had no issue getting a signal. Wi-Fi was weak and not reliable. Verizon phones got a strong 4g signal. Campground is close to town with many shops, restaurants and gas stations. Campground is about 10 min. from I-80 highway. The surrounding street noise which leads into town is heard throughout the park, but was minor. Campground had large open fields for tent camping and picnics. Bathroom could use some TLC. We recommend visiting the RV Hall of Fame, which is nearby, and the Blue Gate Restaurant. Amish stores, farms and restaurants surround the area. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflectsa group rate. Came here for a Rally. This was a good choice for our Rally because the sites are at angles making socializing easy. The pavilion had electricity for our Pot Luck dinner. Roads are gravel, sites gravel and grass. Electric is on the passenger side, water & sewer on the driver's side. An extra electric cord is advisable. Power & water were fine, Sprint MiFi & cell signal poor, good signal with roof mounted DirecTV SD satellite dish, no fire rings, WiFi is $3 a day. Employees are friendly, professional, and helpful without being intrusive. Can hear the clip-clop of the Amish buggies as they go by. Definitely big friendly, pull-thru sites are plenty long enough. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here several times. The park is well maintained, and they have a friendly staff. Our site only had 30 amp, but that was not an issue for us. We enjoyed the convenience to the Amish attractions, shopping, and the RV Surplus businesses. National RV Appliance repair is a few hundred yards away. There is an ice cream shop on grounds. We had a small rally here in June, and we will come back. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Motorhome.
