Park is basically a large parking lot next to the flea market. No bathroom or shower facilities. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park for the flea market. You can walk to the flea market from your site. Had 50 amp, water, and sewer. As stated this is a no frills campground. Site was level and roomy with enough room for motorhome and tow vehicle. Very well marked to find you site, each road had the site number sign. We would stay again. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

A no frills park. Full hookup sites and nothing else. Close to everything in Shipshewana. Most sites are pull through but utilities are located such that your neighbor will probably pull in from the opposite direction. Water and electric at end of site so will require extra hose and cable. Some sites have water and electric on opposite side from sewer. Most sites look reasonably level but some are not. No wifi but Verizon worked well. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while our 5th wheel had some work completed. We ended up staying here a few days longer due to snow in April. This is a nice campground with no amenities. We had full hookups but nothing else. The campground was developed to accommodate those getting their rigs worked on and for the large events at the across the street. For example, while we were there, they had barrel racing competitions going on and the campground filled up with horse trailer/campers. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Shipshewana. Lots of shopping/tourist stuff to do. If you want to see the real people of Shipshewana, drive out into the country and observe the beautiful clean farms of the Amish and Mennonites in the area. There are lots of buggies everywhere so watch out for them. We loved Yoder Meat and Cheese the best. The most tender and flavorful meats (jerky, hamburger, Summer Sausage, pepperoni etc.) and the cheeses were wonderful.

No facilities at this campground, no playground, no dog park, here for the flea market only. Located just south of this large flea market. Many sites are hard to level on and roads can get very narrow when people park behind or in front of their RVs. All sites are full hookup with 20/30/50 Amp power. Your will need about 40' of hose to reach water since water sources are between the sites at odd locations. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The campground entrance was well marked and easy to find. The internal roads were dirt and sufficiently maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome,. There were no shade trees on each site. Our site was fairly wide, and long enough to park the toad behind the RV. The pad was dirt and in good condition, and the site had grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was not a cable TV connection, and there were no local OTA TV stations available. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was sufficient. The sewer connection was above ground level, making it more difficult to use. Verizon cell signal was 3 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms or showers, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was no dog park for our 4 footed friends (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise. The price was somewhat high for the services received. There was no staff, you just put your money in an envelope and dropped it in a box. We might stay here again, but Shipshewana has a couple of other parks that are less "bare bones" and nicer to stay at. The only advantage here is that it is right next to the big fleamarket, if that's why you're here. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

Self-serve campground with no bathrooms or showers. Sites are first-come, first-serve, and some are rather unlevel. Some sites share electric post which means your post could be on the opposite side of the rig from the sewer. Right next door to the flea market and walking distance to the shops. Great no frills campground for visiting Shipshewana Area. We had a full hookup back in site with good utilities. The pad was level gravel and 100 ft from the flea market. Some sites are not level and require blocking. A number of sites are taken by vendors at the flea market. Payment is made via drop box at the entrance to the campground, cash or checks are accepted. Credit card payments must be made at the flea market office. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground for visiting Shipshe!! You must be self contained!! There is NO showers or bathrooms available!! The full hook up back in is $27 a night and pull thru's are $33. They have sites with no hook ups for $12 for back in and $18 for pull thru, excellent for the quick, safe overnight place to lay your head!! We love this park for the simple reason is located right at the Flea Market and within easy walking distance to downtown, for shopping or food!! The reasonable price is awesome for the area, as many of the other places charge way more & you have to drive to get to town or the flea market! They take NO reservations, it's first come, first served, most sites are gravel & level. We are usually the smallest rig in here, lots of BIG motorhomes enjoy this place and it is set up to handle them. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the flea market on Tues or Wed....the rest of the week, downtown shopping or visit the many Amish that sell anything you would want. Excellent area. Please remember the Amish do not like to be photographed and the whole area (other than the gas stations) are closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly.

Nothing special except probably the cheapest in the area, no facilities except spotty wifi. Hook ups were all good but as said before have a Y for the water as it is a shared hook up, also check your site choice as some are opposite, like buddy sites. Fills up in the beginning of the week mostly for the flea market within walking distance. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a no frills RV park at the Shipshewana Flea Market. We are fully self contained and have no need for the nonexistent facilities most look for. Payment is via a lock box and nothing more is needed. No tents allowed on site. Great place for visiting the flea market and Shipshewana being the closest RV parking area to town. Excellent spot to visit flea market. Self pay - no staff unless find someone at the flea market office. Busy on Mondays and Tuesdays due to market. Will give 7th night free, must contact office during business hours. Water hookups are shared between two sites - so a longer hose will likely be needed plus bring a Y to attach two hoses - one for you and one for your neighbor who did not bring a Y! We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We only came here as we had service scheduled the next day to have a new air cooling unit installed. Hookups are side by side, but both sides. Shared electric on one side and shared water on the other. We only used electric so it was overpriced for that. Site was mucky, a couple were OK, but there are a lot that have a bit too much grade for our liking. It served its purpose, but we won't be back anytime soon. We will stay somewhere else and drive in the next time. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a decent campground to stay at and very close to many activities in Shipshewana. The park roads and sites are not very well defined and some are a little tight for big rigs. Free Wi-Fi is nice but there is a lack of park oversight. Some camper's dogs run lose and many pet owners don't clean up after them. Placement of some site utilities are a little inconvenient. There are no bath houses so you must be self-contained. After all is said, the rental is a little less than the other parks in the area which make it a good choice for an overnight or a short stay. We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Motorhome.
