narrow roads, great pool. Nice café, didn't use. gravel site and water hook up on opposite side of rv, need an extra long hose. Most folks are long termers that work in area. Nice dog park. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Quick and efficient check in by friendly and helpful staff. Escorted to site by staff. Getting to the park is a little inconvenient due to construction but call the KOA office and they will give you instructions. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

KOA parks are always expensive, but this was ridiculous... location and lack of other park options probably contributed to the exorbitant rate. The spaces were close, and we were in a site where the water hookup was on the DOOR side of the RV so I had to run the hose under the RV to hook up. Other utilities were on the proper side. Roads were tight but navigable... tag axle vehicles might have a problem getting to some sites. Cable was adequate but reception was fuzzy on some stations. Location and lack of options probably contributed to the exorbitant rate. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park! It looked like they have lots of activities for children. The park is nicely landscaped and kept. Our site was level and easy in and out with a 40-foot coach towing. We had a beautiful site with a large patio, patio table, bench, and fire ring. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Before I start the review please note: There is a major road construction in progress in the area. DO NOT FOLLOW OR RELY ON YOUR GPS!

What follows are the correct directions to the park as of Sunday, May 14, 2016: From EB or WB I-70 take exit 11 which is State Rt 46. Go SOUTH on SR 46 for 1.1-miles (as measured with my odometer). Turn left. This is Tucker Road although it is NOT marked as such. You will see orange road construction signs that have KOA and directional arrows on them. Tucker Road looks like a frontage road to SR 46. You will now be going back north on Tucker. After about 1/2 mile you'll come to a stop sign. This is Moyer Road. You should see another small sign pointing straight ahead to the KOA. Keep going straight on Tucker. After another 1/2 mile you'll enter a curve to the right and see an Indiana DOT facility on your right. Keep going straight..no turns. When you pass the DOT yard you're now on Sony Drive (again, no street signs). The KOA is at the end of Sony Drive. Remember, no turns....keep going straight.

If you make a reservation the KOA staff will email directions to you. As I noted the directions I provided are accurate as of 5/15/16 and it didn't look to me like the project was moving forward with any kind of speed. KOA staff mentioned that the entire project was due to be complete 4-YEARS AGO!

As for the park itself...very nice. Mostly shaded (satellite users will have difficulty getting a signal. We were in site 2 and were able to lock onto 2 of 3 satellites. Level gravel pads with grass "patios". Interior roads are easily navigable in big rigs (we have 40' MH plus Jeep SUV...60' overall). Park is clean and laid out nicely. We checked in with Robin who was extremely helpful. Park has a small café with usual fare AND 24-flavors of soft serve ice cream. All sites are 30/50-amp, good water pressure and cable TV at most sites. Small dog run. We would stay here again. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Wifi works well. Nice dog walk area but they had a lot of rain the day & night before our arrival and the park was very wet. Staff are very friendly and escort you to your site. Has a nice café that offers breakfast & supper. There is major highway construction on I-70 and it's a bit tricky finding the road to the park. Do NOT follow your GPS. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not as easy to get to from I-70 due to major road changes that impacted their entrance. Sites are gravel with concrete patios and fire ring. About the only option in the Terre Haute area for large motorhomes. The staff was friendly and are doing upgrades to the sites. Main issue was the excessive price for the a small gravel site in our opinion. Others may not agree. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA really surprised us! It was a little bit of a drive from the interstate, but not bad. It was very easy to locate our spot and pull in. Leaving the park was also just as easy to maneuver. The park itself is VERY cool, and the fresh layer of snow made it absolutely beautiful! Not only did we feel at home and relaxed, we also got to experience elk calls! Really neat after we figured out what it was! The management was very helpful as well! Will definitely be staying here if we are ever in the area again! Worth every penny! We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park is quite satisfactory. The location is about 1/3rd mile off I-70, easy to get to. The roads are gavel and easy to navigate. Big rig friendly. The sites are gavel, fairly spacious with nice patios. The utilities were fine. The restrooms were clean. They have a café serving breakfast and dinner, did not try though. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA. We try to avoid KOA but it was convenient to stop near friends for an overnight stat while passing through Terre Haute. WAY over-priced. Gravel interior roads. Fairly level site. Does have full hook-ups including cable. Hardly anyone here during our stay so site seemed spacious enough. It likely would have seemed small if neighboring sites were in use. Saw some activities for kids but, as we are senior citizens, we didn't investigate. Pool looked nice but didn't use. Would stay again if in area and needed an overnight stop but would certainly try to find better rates elsewhere first. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

This is their third strike. First of all, the service wasn't bad, but it wasn't satisfactory either, so I chose to let previous visits influence my rating.

Our main issue today, and the final blow for them, is our cable reception. I recognize that when we pulled into our site I asked if it was satellite friendly and was told that it probably was not but I could move to another site that might be. It happens that it was the site we had a problem with before when they insisted that it was 50 amp, but it absolutely was not. I would have been more amenable to having been told that I must have been mistaken (but not receptive to that accusation), but to be told that I was wrong was unacceptable.

Today's issue is cable reception that is so snowy that we can barely see one of the networks. I was told that someone would come check it out, but 4 hours later there has been no sign of that "someone".

I hate to write this place off because of its location in our travels, but their customer service and attention/care of their customers has forced me to make that decision. There are other campgrounds in the area, and a WalMart less than 2 miles away. This is the last that they will see of us, and my recommendation to my friends will reflect that feeling.

Sorry KOA this place doesn't deserve the President's or Founder's awards. We have stayed in Passport America campgrounds who care more about their campers than the service we've received in this campground. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

OK, will be honest here in stating that we try to avoid KOA parks. Some are great, some are horrible....all are overpriced!!! This park was in a location that we needed to be, but $50 bucks is way too much for what you get! While the freeway exit/on is in construction, the park in general is a close on/off for a one night stop. Our site was fairly level, and we were able to obtain satellite tv. Not sure if the trees were leafed out if we could have, but great for our one night stay. At our site, you could see previous deep ruts where when it had rained a previous rig had driven out, but the site itself would be ok I think. One of our slides was fairly close to the trailer on the next site, but posed no problem during our stay. The office lady was very nice and helpful and nice. While we did not utilize, they have an onsite cafe that serves breakfast and dinner meals at a reasonable rate. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We did utilize one of the advertisers in the park map/entry paper...Midwest RV. They took us in to fix a water leak we had found in a quick, efficient, and reasonable ($$$) fashion...hat's off to them!!

This is a very good overnight stop even though it is at a high price. They seem to be fairly full on an overnight basis. There is a moderate level of high way noise from the expressway. The down side for this site right now is the highway construction going on at the exit area, it was difficult to maneuver to get to the drive. This has been a long term problem going on over 2 years and is not close to being done from the looks of it. They will guide you to your site when you arrive, the work campers are aware of the maneuvering of big rigs inside the camp. Before stopping here again we will be checking on the construction progress. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

A decent koa experience. On the expensive side (what KOA isn't? ). This is a fun park for kids with a zoo and rides. Plenty of helpers and service is good. Needs to be about $5-$10 less. We camped at Terre Haute KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
