All back in sites, electric only. We brought our own water. We arrived on Thursday because park gets very busy on weekends. Although campground was full, park rangers seemed to keep noise under control. Nice hiking, biking, and horse riding trails. Park naturalists were on hand for special events. Upon arrival our site had electric issues. Camp host was told and it was fixed in a few minutes. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

In July, Winamac, Indiana has a big historical power show and flea market in the park. This campground was about 5 miles north.

Price includes $9 one time entrance fee in addition to our camping fee of $37.00 ($9 out of state, $7 for Indiana resident). I would consider this a very popular but primative campground out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Sites are dirt and and many flood badly during rain (ours did) and we had to change sites because of the flooding. There are sites that will take big rigs but many are short. Verizon cell phone was not good but our AT&T hotspot did work (no free wifi). Sites are electric only but fresh potable water is available throughout the campground. Bathhouses wear old but clean. Camp host was very helpful when we were flooded out of our site and helped us even though he was off duty. Camp host sold ice and firewood usually in the evening. The person checking us in was polite but seemed "off" to us. For us in a tent trailer, getting flooded off our site was not a great experience and we probably would not return to the campground. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Nice, wooded state park. Our site was large, mostly grass except for the gravel pad. Lots of biking and hiking trails. Park was completely full but was very quiet at night. A little tight getting in and out of site. 30 amp electricity only at the site. We brought our own water. Poor Verizon service. We will return. The biggest complaint was park ranger knocking on our door around 10:30 pm to ask us to move our vehicle off the grass where it had been parked all day. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A typical state park, with few amenities other than electric hookups. Our site was paved with blacktop, but is was a handicapped site. We were one of 3 RVs in the park for our 1 night stop. One of the other RVs was the camp host. This park is very shaded with tall trees which prevents the use of roof top satellite systems. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The closest shopping for basics is in Winamac about 5 miles south of the park entrance. I would call the area rather rustic with access to the Tippecanoe River in the park, but not the campground.

We stayed here three nights. There is electricity only at each site. We had to pay an admission fee to enter the park of $9 even though we had reservations at the campground. The people in charge of cleaning the restrooms were not very effective. The state staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful location, however Indiana officials have failed to invest in the buildings. Repairs are needed. This is very quiet during the week. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a supper market nearby in Winamac, Indiana and a Catholic church. There is also a well stocked Ace hardware there. This is a great spot to cross country ski in the winter. The river in the park is beautiful. There is a place to add water to your fresh water tanks and there is a dump station. It is a short trip to the RV museum in Elkhart and Amish sites are in the area. Peru Indiana is worth the trip.

Nice flat camping lots, with many trees. Very family oriented. Good roads for bike riding. Perfect in cool weather, but mosquitoes are terrible in summer. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Motorhome.

A very nice state park, with paved access roads and grassy sites. Our site was quite wide and easy to back my 34 foot fifth wheel into. Shower house is older but acceptably clean. Saturday night campfires caused a lot of smokiness, but that may have been unusual due to no breeze. Sites on the outside loop appeared to be larger and more spacious. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Several hiking trails available, and park its huge, so lots of places for bike riding. Canoe rentals nearby on the Tippecanoe River. We're already making plans to return. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is located among well-spaced mature trees, affording good shade below. The roads are narrow, paved, and the sites are gravel pads. I would say this is a not big rig campground, although a skillful driver could probably get into some sites. We stopped here for a couple of nights to check out the sand hill cranes at a nearby refuge. During our visit in early October, the usual fee for the vehicle was not being charged, so the rate shown, $17.34, was inclusive of all charges, including nice, private hot showers. We had good TV reception off the antenna and the Verizon air card worked well for Internet. We enjoyed the quiet of the campground with few RVs and would stay here again in the future. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Motorhome.

An established state park campground that is very scenic, especially in the fall. Campsites are of medium size and most sites are partial to full shade. Ample playgrounds and area for recreation. Several hiking trails and there is a 90 foot fire observation tower that can be climbed that gives a wide view of the park and surrounding area. Camping here in the fall when leaves are down can be a challenge for finding roads within campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no campground general store and nearest down is approximately 20 minutes south. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice state park with shady campsites, clean comfort stations with good showers, and some good trails to hike. Canoe rental is available in nearby Winamac. There is also a horseman's campground and miles of horse trails, which can also be shared by hikers, but hiking these trails is difficult and messy. I did not see the horseman's campground or the canoe camp, both of which are primitive. Nice waterfowl area where otters, frogs, birds of all sorts can be seen. I highly recommend trail 8 though the Sand Hill Nature Preserve on the north end of the park. Fire tower gives a great view of the surrounding area. This is a small park: no camp store (campground host sells firewood and ice), nature center has limited hours (not open before Memorial Day), no dedicated bike trail, and large rigs will struggle to navigate the narrow roads and trees in the campground. Only a couple pull-through sites are available. Cabins are available. We camped at Tippecanoe River State Park in a Travel Trailer.
