Park is very nice. The only neg is the roads are gravel and very dusty. Other then that it's a great park. The staff is very friendly. The Park is close to Main Amana that has a lot of great food and crafts. The other Amana's are all within a few minutes drive. Also Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are within 40 min drive. Note staff also went out of their way to assist me with an
electrial. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All the Amana Villages are close by with a lot of great food and crafts.

Efficient check in to be close to our friends. Office person thought we could pull thru and not have to unhook but that was not the case. We could not back into spot far enough to hook to sewer due to person behind us. Asked to get re-assigned to N10. Sots were gravel but most now have grass growing. Attached area is grass. Nice new picnic table. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Amana Colony attractions. Not far from I-80. Most sites are pull thrus if no one is in the adjacent site. All hook ups are in the very far back end of site. But sites are very long to accomodate big rigs and tows.

Laundry facility was the cleanest we've seen, although small. $1.00 for wash and $1.00 for 45 min dryer. Sites are long and large. Very little shade, but the temps were low while we were there. Hookups worked well. We camped in a 42' MH. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very large RV park. When checking in, the staff is very friendly and helpful and will escort you to your site. There is no playground or pool, so most of the campers are older. The sites are grassy and very long and wide. It is basically a very large pasture in the middle of corn fields just outside of Amana with many full hookups. The campground roads are gravel and dusty. It is called an event center so many clubs us this campground. It is also very quiet, easy to find, with easy access from I-80. We stayed here in a 39 foot fifth wheel and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This campground is just outside of the Amana Colonies. Also the Amish community of Kalona, Iowa, is about an hour away.

Stayed for a week to attend a RV rally, then 2 weeks later returned for an over night stay. The quoted rate of $18. was PA. The rally cost was more but included the rally facilities. Good facilities for indoor activities, meals, etc. Gravel pull thru sites not very level. There are very few trees and keeping the grass seems to be quite a problem, especially around the sewer connections. Their water/electric posts are set up to service 4 units, so 4 units back in back to back and run hoses around/under RVs to hook up. Sewers were on the opposite side from the pedestals. Route US 151 from I-80 is a concrete road that has no 2 slabs the same height........very rough road. Recommend exiting to US 6 early and seeing some beautiful IA farm country at a slower pace.
The roads in the park are all gravel and in need of grading and leveling. They don't have to post 5 mph signs here. They don't have enough picnic tables so you have to acquire one if you want one. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice open park with mowed grass (no weeds like many parks). Management was great. Close to town of Amana and activities. Great WIFI at our spot. We will stay here again. Very big rig friendly. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our rate reflects the "rally" rate, thus we give it four stars, although I would drop it down to three if paying their regular rate. It is, as stated in most other reviews, a very large open field with a few, mostly small, trees. If you arrive early and the park isn't full, they will lead you to your site in such a manner that you won't have to back in. The utility station does serve four campers, thus two will have to run their electric and water under the coach to reach the station. The sites are long and level. The spacing between vehicles using the same power station is adequate. The spacing between vehicles not using the same station is excellent. There are few amenities at the park unless you are attending a rally or function that utilizes one of the pavilions or meeting halls. It could only be considered a destination if you were planning on exploring the surrounding area - Amana Colonies. When you check in, tell them you want to be facing north, which means you want an odd numbered site in one of the "lettered" lots. THIS IS IMPORTANT - each power pole station serves four sites. The first four will be 1,2,3, and 4; the second set will be 5,6,7 and 8; the third will be 9,10,11 and 12; and the last set will be 13,14,15 and 16. In each of these groups you will want the site with the highest odd number. In other words, you will want site 3 or 7 or 11 or 15. You may wish to avoid 15 as it is next to the interior street making for more noise and dust. The reason - shade and spacing on the side where you sit outside. There are numerous trash dumps around the park and some sites have picnic tables. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart, Sam's and Costco in Iowa City less than 20 miles away. The Amana Colonies has a very interested history and is probably worth touring the area. (We've just arrived and haven't had a chance to get out and about.)

Spent one night here while en route to our final destination. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The site was adequate but it was truly in the middle of a sunny and huge field. There was no shade. However, the site did provide access to a nice bike path to Amana and easy access to shops and restaurants. We might stay here again as a stop over, but not for more than one night. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is a big field and RV's are parked back to back with utilities shared at the back. So you best have long wire, water hose and sewer hose to get to them. My electric cord just made it, 30 ft, to the pole. Many others had to extend electric and sewer hoses. Site is mostly grass with a bit of gravel thrown in. I'm not sure I would stay again. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a large park that had gravel on the sites and roads years ago. The narrow site is semi level and about 10 feet wide, made of gravel/dirt. Grass separates each site, and two vehicles share the water source. The grass area is home to many rodents and their holes are everywhere. This is a danger to human and animal traffic. The laundry room has five washers to accommodate several hundred sites. The staff is grumpy all the time. We experienced heavy rain on our stay and the roads became mud. There are several villages, but only one was open on our stay. One day here is plenty. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Do NOT forget to tell staff if you have Passport America. They will not ask and if you forget you cannot get a refund! This is our third visit to this park. It is convenient to Iowa City as well as about a half an hour off of I-80. Very quiet and situated very close to the quaint villages that encompass the Amana Colonies. The roads and sites are gravel with grass alongside. Due to recent heavy rains the entire area was quite soggy. Our spot was a pull thru only as long as a second person was not backed into the site behind us, and then they were quite close to our rear window. The sites are gravel and level and sufficiently wide for slide outs. The utilities are on a shared post with both fifty and thirty amp available. There is no shade in the area. The staff was friendly and available. There was a big Good Sam rally beginning while we were there but they were able to make room for our stay. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visiting the villages of Amana is very interesting. We always stop at the broom store to purchase a new, handmade broom. Note that the main roads into and out of the area are concrete and very rough.

Large field converted into an RV park. Four sites share water and electric posts. Ideal for an RV rally because of meeting space. Visitors need transportation to explore the nearby towns making up the Amana Colonies. Little to no shade. Level gravel sites. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy in/out, level site. Friendly helpful staff. Utilities worked fine. Nice amount of space between sites on sides but each site has close end-to-end site for shared utility hookup. This makes water and electric hookups in the very back of the site. It was not busy when we were hear so this was not an issue but if it were packed our 5er would be butt up against a neighbor being not so nice and requiring the shade be left closed for privacy. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spacious park located in the heart of the Amana Colonies. Used as a gigantic rally facility, but OK for an overnight or two to visit the area. Sites are level and huge. Staff very friendly, maintenance was really well done for the size of the park. Rate reflects a Passport America rate. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My husband and I stayed here 3 different times in October 2014. We used Passport America for the first 2 nights. Very nice campground and wonderful people in the office. Very close to Cedar Rapids for any shopping. If looking for a church while here we suggest the Calvary Baptist church in Cedar Rapids. The pastor is terrific and the congregation is very friendly. Best to call ahead because they have many groups that meet here through the year. We highly recommend this campground. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.
