The weekend was busy. (July 2-5) There are LOTS of rules at this campground and if you don't follow them, they will let you know. Some workers in a nice way, other workers weren't so nice. Upon check-in, the woman was very condescending to me as we pulled in to check in. I guess we pulled ahead too far past the check in stop, and she thought we should have known that. She made me feel like I was an idiot for something I did not know about. For being the 4th of July weekend we thought it was incredibly quiet for being packed.

The Wi-Fi was spotty.

Our two families had sites #2 and #3. We were RIGHT at the entrance of the campground. I would not recommend this location for a tent camper especially as there is a bright light that is on all night to light the road and it shined right into our trailer. Also, the road is gravel so every time someone drove in it woke me up.

There was no grass between our two campers. just a nice concrete "porch" and lots of class 5 gravel. The campers are PACKED IN. My husband joked that our daughter on her end of the camper was sleeping closer to strangers than us.

Fire rings are tiny and they bring them to you if you want a fire. We set up our fire area nestled between 3 big rigs and our campers. Wood was $10 for two wheel barrel loads which I thought was kind of expensive; and you couldn't just get one.

There were 4 swings for the kids, and chickens roaming around which the kids found amusing until they were told to not go by them any more. The chickens are not part of the campground. The bathrooms are nothing fancy, but were cleaned a few times a day which was nice.

The building for laundry looked run down on the outside, but it had lots of new looking machines and was very clean on the inside. The "Game Room" upstairs was where old card table and chairs go to die, and people leave their old musty faded games to feel better about getting rid of them.

Not on the lake, about a mile walk to public access. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

State Park is a short drive down the road to the East coming out of the campground, public boat access is a short drive down the road to the West coming out of the campground. Keep your dog quiet or they will let you know about it.

We stayed three nights here in early October, using the pull-through full hookup sites. The pull-through site was really long, lots of room for the trailer and truck. Width was OK, too. Some shade trees were available and campground hosts were friendly and led us to the site and insisted we park where the steps of the RV folded out onto the concrete pad. There was lots of grass in the site for our dogs and there was room to walk them. The Wi-Fi was really poor, and we were only 50 feet from the router. The website advertises cable TV, but that is not available to short term guests. But local TV reception was very good. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here according to reading other reviews, we thought it was a little ways off the interstate (further than we thought). The sites were as stated: big pull-throughs! With tables, Wi-Fi, only about 4 TV channels, which was fine. Gravel roads/pads and we would think a little dirty and dusty during full season. We stayed just passing through, an overnight, and near the end of the season. It was OK, and if needed to stay in this area again would consider it. Quiet and dark at night, not near the highway. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow! Nice people, nice park. No frills, but clean and well-kept. Great power and water pressure. They guided us to a 120' pull-through site since we were only there overnight and preferred to keep our towed hooked to our motorhome so it would be convenient for us. We would love an opportunity to stay there again! We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice site and average costs. ALl sites up on hill are pull-through and quit large. You will have a neighbor parked behind you as they put two rigs per pull-through, but its still very nice. Wi-Fi is about average for campgrounds, Cellular signal was weak. Owners are always around and very friendly along with Work Kampers. They escort you too your site, which I always like. We will definitely stay here again as it is one of the only places that are close to Winnebago Factory that offer pull-throughs for larger rigs. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

We just stayed one night on our way elsewhere. The camp hosts were very nice and the campground was nice and quiet with very large pull-through sites. I would definitely stay there again. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed only a few nights, so this is the daily rate; they only accept cash or checks and don't give any discounts. The roads are gravel and very dusty. Beware the speed “bump”. We had an escort to the site and he “parked” us. But we had to re-position the rig to avoid trees brushing some fresh paint and to level with ease. The sites have some grass between; the pads are gravel and some are fairly level. There are trees that offer some shade; satellite access from our site on the “hill” was OK. Water pressure was adequate. We didn’t use the facilities. Sprint and Verizon worked fine. The season was winding down so it was pretty quiet and we didn’t have a neighbor to our backside. We felt they should be offering discounts. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

For our purposes, a nice site with grass, a small concrete pad, well situated utilities, this campground was great. We were warmly greeted with a friendly smile and escorted to our site. Wisely they didn't put everyone side by side which allowed some privacy. Nice dog walks. Dumpsters located where they made sense. A small speed bump (clearly marked) kept people slowed to a reasonable campground speed. We have encountered far worse for a lot more money. We will return here. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were only here for an overnight stay in this park which is largely seasonal campers. A short gravel road leads to the park, which has gravel interior roads and fairly level gravel sites. Lots of trees, so having a clear shot at the satellite may be a problem. No cable TV or Wi-Fi, but Verizon cell and data were good. Check in was at a small booth and credit cards are not accepted. Only cash or check. The staff and seasonal residents were friendly, the park is quiet and dark at night, and the surrounding area is interesting. Our GPS took us off the road marked with camping signs and down a long dirt road with low trees, so following the blue camping signs is recommended. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good park for one or two nights while checking out the area. Front of cg has seasonal sites mostly back ins, and rear of cg has nice long pull through that are constructed two to a site area that is mostly level gravel. You will be back to back with your neighbor, but you can put your slides out and connect to utilities with no problems. Each site has a table with concrete pad for it and cg hosts escort you to site. No store is a negative, but they do sell ice. Thirty dollars is the nightly price including tax for FHU's. Probably won't stop again. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was officially closed (water turned off) but does accept RVers up until the snow flies. When we pulled in, the owner made water available to us. The sites are wide and incredibly long. There is also a small church on the campgrounds. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice. Quiet, relaxed, and near the lake. Would like to see the sites leveled just a bit more. It's so nice when you don't have to. We will go back. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park, although the entrance is not impressive with a dirt road and many semi-permanent residents. But don't let that stop you as it gets better as you go to the sites in the back - the sites are very long - some of the longest I have seen. The only downside is the utilities are back to back, so someone can pull through next to you (common utility hook up) It has the basics: Full hookups, concrete patios, good internet. Price is right. Work Campers run the check and we very nice. They escorted us to our site. Good location to visit Winnebago factory tour and Clear Lake. We would stay again. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice place. No pool or facilities or store. But close to lake, clean and the hosts, who showed us to our site, were quite friendly. Fee is base fee for FHU (50A). Additional people, kids are $2.00 each. Sites are gravel and level and many are huge (long but not super wide). We would stay again. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground itself is good. Wi-Fi is advertised but we could not get it at our site. Management, especially the Mrs is pretty much a grouch. The web site gives an email address but Mrs manager says it is not correct. The telephone is busy most of the time so hard to get through to check availability when traveling. They do have open sites virtually all the time so it is pretty safe to just stop in. (This probably has a lot to do with the unfriendly management.) They act like they would have a good job if it wasn't for the campers calling or stopping in and bothering them. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.
