Ah-mazing!!!! One of, if not the best public campground we have ever stayed in. BEAUTIFUL park, with incredible campsites, miles of hike/bike trails, pioneer village, and tons for kids to do. All set in rolling, forest covered hills. If you are traveling by on I 80 it is worth traveling 8 miles north to this park even if for one night. Camping is walk in only, no reservations. We arrived on a Friday about 3 pm late September and got the second to last spot in this full hook up campground. Saturday night there were a couple open spots, and Sunday only 10% of the campground was full. The water/electric campground just down the road in this park was super nice too, but sites are gravel and it is more heavily treed. If you stay there, there is a dump station in the park, fee $1. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very large FHU sites, in a well kept county park, with wide interior roads. Park gates are closed at 10:00 (or so) and the 2 weeks were were there it was quiet after that hour for nice sleeping on cooler summer evenings with windows open (as long as your neighbor isn't afraid of the dark, and leave there write lites on to compensate! ;) ). No reservations and filled up on weekends in June, so be aware. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Spent a few days visiting the Quad cities, great base camp. Asphalt site. Good TV antenna reception. Very clean park. No reservations, first come, first serve. We waited 30 minutes for an open site. No dog area, but we walked across the street and let the Vizslas run free on a grassed walkway next to a farmer's field. One of the nicest County Park campgrounds we've stayed at. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Large county park with five separate campgrounds at the edge of small town. Bald Eagle Campground is set up for big rigs and full hookups. Quiet. Paved roads and sites with grass between. Young trees not tall enough for shade or to block satellite signal. Family campground on weekends with playground. Back-in sites. No WiFi at sites. Verizon OK but not great. 8 miles to Davenport. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for camping with kids on weekends and OK for travelers and big rigs. Clean and large restrooms and showers. Will stay there again. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is the only campground in the park with full hookups and has asphalt pads. The spacing between sites was decent for a public campground. Our site and the majority of the other sites fit our motorhome and tow vehicle. Our site and about half of the others were level enough not to need blocks. There is threaded or doughnut sewer connection. Basically stick hose down inside 6" diameter plastic pipe.

Many of the sites, including ours, had little to no shade. The trees just haven't grown tall enough yet since the campground was built in 2004. The utility hookups are at the back of sites and 10 feet+ away. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. Lots of areas in which to walk. Sites are paved, with an area for a second vehicle. The sites are large; all are back-ins. Reservations are not accepted. The gates close at 10:30. You can get out, but cannot get back in. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park and the entire thing is huge. On our visit just before Labor Day, the Bald Eagle campground was filled up totally. I think that is because of the full hookups. It sure makes it nice to have a place on the road to take care of everything. The other campgrounds were totally empty so there is always lots of spots with water and electricity. We loved the high and dry paved spot. It has rained for days so we really enjoyed that.

We were in 337 next to the bathhouse parking lot and we got great public internet. Our satellite came in great here: lots of wide open sky. Even over the air channels came in pretty well.

Sure wish we were staying longer; this is a great place to ride bikes and explore, rest and recharge. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a pool in the park but it was closed already. There are numerous hiking and bike trails: most closed due to the extreme amount of rain here.

About 12 miles from LeClaire: a nice riverfront town to explore.

Also the Quad Cities are nearby.

Another gem that we have to share, but hate to in hopes that it's not overtaken! Well maintained, lots of room between sites, great rates. Biking, hiking, lakes, pool, golf course (not our thing now but a nice looking course.) Going to extend here a few days for sure. It is so nice that we saw several local folks pull in today, set their campers up, then call their friends to tell them to get out here, then leave. They do this to secure their site for the weekend as this is first come, first served. No reservations. All the staff are awesome, and a lot of ranger presence. Fires allowed in the pits provided. There are four campgrounds here, but Bald Eagle is the one we are in and the only full hookup campground. There is one other one that has electric and water, but would be hard to get level with a motor home or larger fifth wheel. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.

We stay at the Pine Grove campground when we go to Scott County. They are nice surrounded by woods sites. Tons of trails and playgrounds for kids. They also have a water park within walking distance of Pine Grove but not so close you have alot of traffic. We have stayed here a half dozen times. This park was immaculate. Lots of room between sites. Very quiet. There was a camp host but we never saw them. All sites are back in. The park employee who took our money was grumpy but got the job done. We stayed here on a Monday and Tuesday night. Only a few sites were available as this park seems to be used by locals. Nice county park with lots to do around the area. We stayed here in 43 ft RV. This is the only 50 amp full service campground in the park. Other campground is 30 amp electric and gravel sites. This is first come -no reservations -so probably full in the summer. We came in on Thursday and several spots available. Lots more came on Friday. Can stay 14 days. Great park. Was given senior discount. Very nice and quiet. Seems to be a newer campground since trees are very young so there wasn't shade available. Very surprised that a county would have such a beautiful campground at such a low price for full hook up. We will stay here again if needed. Campground is north of Davenport with easy access to the Quad Cities. Only difference in normal operations is you go to the campground, find a site, then come back and register. There are at least 3 campgrounds in this park, so you have lots of choices based on age of campground, trees, and amount of hookups you want. Our stay at Bald Eagle was great (only one night). We used Wi-Fi, had good over the air TV, and appreciated the large shower stalls. There is a lot to see and do in the area and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.

Perfectly shaded level gravel pull-through sites greeted us at the Incahias Campground. We met a group of friends on Thursday and were able to camp in a couple rows all together. The pull through sites were generous in length, allowing our extra car to park behind our trailer. With room between trailers we enjoyed a nice few nights of campfires with room for all of us to sit together and out of the smoke caused by a cool breeze. When asked, the nice ranger would not stop to join us. Between a couple other trailers, we set up a good sized dining tent for meals together: nice room! Close to Davenport for Saturday's Farmers Market. And a 20 minute drive to LeClaire for a visit to American Pickers' store and a stop at Iowa's Mississippi River Distilling Company. We will be back. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Bald Eagle Campground. Paved roads, long, paved sites, full hook ups, with parking space for xtra vehicle, patio, picnic table, fire ring. No shade. Young trees planted. Satellite, Verizon air card and cell great. Clean rest rooms and showers. Park Rangers very helpful. Quiet country setting but near enough to shopping. Rate reflects $1 discount for Sr. An awesome place for the price. We will return. We camped at Scott County Park, Bald Eagle Campground in a Motorhome.
