Oct 2017 - $15.00
A lovely little park in Iowa close to the Missouri border. Lots of trees, a small fishing lake, ponds, and hiking trails. On a Friday night in mid October there were 3 campers here, though I bet it is more popular in the summer. The sites are long, but there are trees that make getting the right angle in a back in or pull through rather challenging. We managed it though, and we were rewarded with a nice patio area, fire pit, and picnic table. The sites were fairly level. Good Verizon cell service, but no broadcast TV available. We didn't put out the satellite for the one night stay. - UTTransplant
Apr 2017 - $11.00
We were here for one night on our way home. Since it was before mid April the restrooms and showers weren't open. They look to be newer. Sites gravel, some more level than others. No problem with branches. Water by hydrant so you need to fill tank. No tv by antenna. Got 4g service. As we were here so early I can't comment on how it would be here with more rigs as far as noise and wood smoke. Not sure I would say this is big rig friendly. - coffeeman1
Jun 2015 - $16.00
We stay here several times a year. They have brand new bathroom facilities. Lake is beautiful and great fishing. We love this campground. The park ranger monitors campground well and always makes sure rules are being followed in regard to respecting your fellow campers. The sites aren't all the most level or sized great but are very sufficient. - JulieDR
Jun 2015 - $16.00
The outer campground itself is a grid of gravel - roads and sites. Ours site was 100% flat and level, no need to unhook! The back-for-the shower-house-area of the campground is terraced so the sites also appear to be mostly level. During our weeknight stay, there were few other campers. The entire campground is surrounded and canopied by trees. Our site was a bit damp from the earlier rain, but without puddles.
My Verizon did not work here - ok by me.
With no time to spend in the park, we did not get to explore, so we would return. - AluminumCloud
Nov 2018 - $20.00
Nice pretty little park. Water still on when we were there, don't know if they shut it off for winter. Spacious sites. Some pads are cracked but not horrible and ours was level. The cracked ones look worse than they are with the grass growing in the cracks. I've seen a lot worse! If cracks bother you then pay $50 + and stay in a RV resort. We stayed here in a 45' TH. - Waterfairy
Aug 2018 - $20.00
Dumpy little park at a dumpy little casino. Most of the pads are cracked and broken, the 50 amp plug at our site was melted. Leave money in box, papers said attendant on duty but never saw one, saw security drive through next morning. A couple of people look like they lost all their money and can't leave.. looked like they had been there awhile. Grass overgrown and weedy, litter all over. If you want to gamble and sleep, it is okay. - DogFriendlyGuy
Aug 2018 - $20.00
Great park for the price. Yes, there are some sites with broken concrete but still had no problem leveling and the patio was unbroken. We didn't try the cable TV since we have our own dish, internet was iffy but didn't slow us down. T-Mobile service was terrible but it is bad throughout most of Iowa. Casino was good but the buffet was not...breakfast or dinner. - RJ56
Sep 2012 - $18.00
Nothing fancy here. Just a quick pull-thru with full hook-ups for $18 - Good Sam discount - regular $20. Easy in and out, and close to I-35, but far enough away to be out of the noise. Good Verizon signal. Cable tv worked well, but there are only 5-6 channels. Supper at the Dinner Bell Cafe near the I-35 junction was good and reasonable. If you are looking for an over-nighter on I-35, stop here. - herbee
Nov 2010 - $18.00
I-35 is a small eleven full hookup site campground located less than one half mile from I-35. The positives are (1) easy off, easy on, (2) friendly owner, (3) clean, (4) fairly level pull-thrus, and (5) inexpensive. The negatives are (1) very narrow sites, (2) some sites rutted, (3) no TV reception (the two cable channels were snow and there was no over-the-air channels), and (4) limited bathrooms. There was at least one long-term resident living in a school bus. It’s a good place to spend the night if you want the basics. - Alamo
Sep 2010 - $18.00
Old run down campground with gravel and grass sites, ours was not level. Nice owner. They don't take credit cards and cable TV is only 2 channels. Not a destination, but fine for an overnight and the price is right. We would not return. - Wandering Wishnies
Oct 2018 - $35.00
Stayed here several times over the years and it remains a nice owner operated campground in Northern Missouri. We had site 4 which we've had before and it's a nice long pull through with full hook ups that work and is pretty level side to side and fore and aft. Small camp store and small laundry on site. Talked to owners and they will be open until mid November if you need a place for an overnight off the interstate. But folks be aware there is NO OTA tv so bring your dish if want television. Jet pack hot spots do work though. - xarmoreddriver
Jul 2018 - $35.00
Very nice campground on owner occupied land. Nice pool and beautiful flowers and lots of trees. A small lake was a treat for our dog! Would stay again, good experience. - skier1947
Jul 2018 - $30.00
We were on our way to family get together and needed a campground to stay at. Brought our tents and what a co-incidence it was similar to name of resort our grandmother worked at. Lady at campground was very nice and gave us lots of info to go on. Hoping our grandparents can make it here to stay yet this year. - kaths
