We aren't much for KOA RV parks. Having said that, we were traveling late in the season and this park was opened. We were surprised at the appearance and quality of the park. Check- in was friendly and efficient. We were taken to our site. I noted that other people have talked about how tight the sites were. Believe me when I tell you we have seen, and stayed in much tighter sites. While you don't have 1/2 acre for your site there is plenty of room for slides and awnings. We were able to get a satellite signal but some sites may struggle with this. Make sure you have a water pressure regulator. The electric was solid. We will definitely make this a regular stop on our annual pilgrimages. We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight on a trip down I-80. Like many campgrounds along the highway, it was close. I could have thrown a stone onto the highway. The campground was set up with mostly pull-thru sites. We were assigned a site at check in but was advised to use a different site when we got into the campground so we would have more space. Sites were close and there was a neighbor on the front of our assigned site so changing was good. The campground was empty enough that this was possible. If it were full, campers would be terribly close. Verizon service was good. The campground wifi was adequate. The login page continue an note about bandwidth usage being limited. We did not test the policy. Out rig is a 43' fifth wheel and we got in and out easily. There is fuel service at a truck stop at this exit as well. We camped at Newton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is probably one of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. Easy access from I-80 and your hosts are very nice people. The sites are typical of a KOA close but the grounds are very nice grass cut and everything around looks very nice and taken care of. Sites are level and have some shade. The restrooms and showers are very clean and modern, the shower head is the best I've ever used at a shower in any campground. The services are excellent, WiFi very good, they have cable but we choose to do OTA channels and got 36 of them. Cell ATT very good. Sorry to say we were just over night guess leaving in the morning. We will return..... We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

Long, fairly level sites, but close together. Fortunately, the campground wasn't full. Easy, friendly check-in. WIFI and cable worked well. This KOA is convenient to the interstate, but there is considerable road noise. East of the camp sites, there was ample room to walk the dog in an open field, and there was also a nice dog run. A pleasant creek runs along the west and south sides of the campground. Utilities worked well. We were advised of high water pressure. We've stayed here before and will probably stay again when needing an overnight. We camped at Newton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

All of the reviews about very close pull-thru sites are spot on. We were there for just an over-night stop so we didn't put out awnings or set up camp per se. However if we wanted to we couldn't because the slides on the camper beside us were taking up almost all of the grass area in our spot. Didn't use Wi-Fi or cable but did pull in about 35 OTA tv stations. Very friendly folks at check-in and they lead you to your site with their golf cart which is nice when pulling in after dark. I'd use it again as an overnight stop but if I wanted to stay for a weekend, I'd try getting a back-in site as these look much roomier. We camped at Newton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The overall setting is very nice, noise though from the interstate. Good wifi. Friendly staff. There is a major problem though with the overnight pull through sites being too close. The adjoining site to ours could not fully open thier slide as it ran into out power pedestal. The neighbors had to move thier picnic table use thier site , but it was so close to ours when moved when we opened a compartment door it swung into the table denting the door. We could reach out our bedroom window and touch the neighbors slide. The entrance is set behind other businesses making the park a bit hard to find. We missed the turn. This would be a wonderful park if the pull throughs were adequately spaced side to side. We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

OK for an overnight because it is close to the highway and the utilities and Wifi function well. This pricy KOA is a little noisy with close sites but the dog park is spacious. We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

Missed the turn into the CG because one of those giant windmill blades was coming in the other direction. There is a church down the road with a huge parking lot to turn around. Once inside, the park looked nice. But WOW! These are the closest, tightest spots I have ever seen in a KOA. If the park had been full, I could not have extended my slide. It hung halfway over the next site's table. Only about 1 in 3 sites had room for a fire ring. We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

Terrible location next to I80. Sites are too close and roads are narrow. Could not pull out of site if neighbor has awning out. We have stayed in campgrounds next to a highway before but the road noise here is worse. Neighbors were. Loud until 2 AM. Owners and staff are very nice. Location, location and location is the problem. We camped at Newton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice , clean CG. Suggest a call to the office for directions, only because the entry could be missed. Coming off the freeway you will make a left turn BEFORE the KOA sign. The sigh is easy to see but I still almost missed the turn. It looks like you are driving into a business or junk yard. Despite me saying this the CG is easy off and on to the freeway. Sites are gravel and pretty level. They are very tight together. The hosts are great. We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is good for what it was. A place off the highway to spend a quick night in a pull through with full hookups to dump the tanks (we couldn't!) and get a very early start the next morning. The sites were dirt (mud) and not very level (two lego blocks needed under left side tires) and had full hookups, although my sewer wouldn't reach (even with 20 feet of sewer hose!) Sewer connection was for a mid-rig hookup and we have a rear bumper hookup. Each site had a wooden picnic table but ours was worn and splintery so we didn't use it.

The campground was empty when we arrived around 2pm but by 6pm it was pretty darn full. The spots are TIGHT together and had we put our awning out our neighbor would have hit it while pulling in. Another camper (maybe an employee) also parked his pickup truck so far to the front of the empty pull through next to us we would have had to back out of our site to leave had he not come running out to move it once we started to pack up. Had he not moved it we wouldn't have fit between his truck and the Class A on the other side of the road.

Power worked without problem, water had good pressure and the friendly office staff *highly* recommended a pressure regulator. We didn't use the wifi but the cable was fuzzy on all channels for us.

Plenty of "grassy" areas to walk our two small dogs but the grass was long and we were afraid of ticks and other bugs. The fenced in area to allow the dogs to run would have been nice but the grass was about a foot tall and we didn't like the idea of them running in such unkempt grass. Like some other reviews have said, once you get past the office the maintenance and upkeep go downhill.

Overall, we were happy with our stay although we would not stay more than one night. We camped at Newton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Funny place. Excellent WiFi and cable, power, etc., while the park itself shows little evidence of care or maintenance once you get past the pool/office area. Roads AND spaces are extremely narrow. Our neighbors had to take in their awning part way so we could get our slide out.

This would be a very tough park for bigger rigs with toads as many of the pull-throughs won't accommodate the full length and width. Gravel and weed sites are fairly level but have some ruts and mud.

The WiFi and cable and the price make it a good deal if you don't mind the squeeze. Apparently many don't...the park was FULL. Make reservations! We camped at Newton KOA in a Motorhome.
