1 Park near Oelwein, Iowa
Jun 2015 - $20.00
We spent a week at Lake Shore RV Resort. The lots are gravel, fairly level and relatively wide and the grass surrounding the lots is lovely. One of the reasons we chose this campground is that they have full-service camping.
The landscaped grounds are lovely and the resort is located on a lake. Although we Floridians did not swim in the chilly lake, there is a beach/swim area with a slide, and there are canoes and kayaks available for camper use as well.
There many different outdoor activities available including mini golf and 4 disc golf baskets. We have two larger dogs, and there is plenty of room to walk the dogs. At night there is very little light pollution, and the stars are very beautiful.
We are having a great time at Lake Shore RV Resort and highly recommend it to others. - User3725

New owner as of 2015. Place was very clean and orderly. We needed a pull through because of towing a car-hauler and they were accommodating. Was only a few pull throughs. This is a seasonal park and there were a lot of units already there for the season. Don't know for sure but they may not get a lot of off the road traffic because of their location. Clean laundry. Wi fi fine with no cable. The only down side is the owner rides around on her golf cart and her dog runs all over. There is a rule that says all dogs on leashes. I think if you have this rule for your campers, then you should adhere by it also. We camped here in a motorhome. - ob's place

This is a long-term seasonal trailer park that also books short term stays when they have space available. The majority of the available sites are back-in. Despite the enticing photos of the lake, none of the short term sites can see the water. The roads and driveways are gravel, the space beside the driveway seems to vary from site to site. Electric hookup is 50 amp only, 30 amp adapter can be rented for $5. The Wi-Fi is very good and the location is very quiet. I would come back. - JTD2
