This is a long-term seasonal trailer park that also books short term stays when they have space available. The majority of the available sites are back-in. Despite the enticing photos of the lake, none of the short term sites can see the water. The roads and driveways are gravel, the space beside the driveway seems to vary from site to site. Electric hookup is 50 amp only, 30 amp adapter can be rented for $5. The Wi-Fi is very good and the location is very quiet. I would come back. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

This park is okay, not great but has good features. Wi-Fi works okay but sprint air card is faster. Narrow sites with a little green grass (about 10 ft ) between campers. Dirt and gravel roads and camper spots. When it rains there is a puddle around the camper about 2 inches deep. Our rates were suppose to be Passport America but like most of Passport rates it was not right. The regular rates are 27 dollars a night and here the Passport America rates are 18. Need 3 sewer hoses to hook up and 50 ft of water hose. The folks that run the campground are really friendly. There is a good book swap room that has lots of books. The lake has a small beach area roped off to wade in. I did not see any trees that would be considered shade for campers unless you were here when the park first opened. Lots of homesteaders here but nicely kept park models and RV's. Would stay here again if in area. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a great stopover park; nice people and clean. It is a Passport America park. There is a city park right next door that is cheaper but does not have full hookups. We would be happy to stay here again. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $10.00
Nice park with quite a few seasonals. There's a small lake and golf course next door. We pulled in late so we could not check out the amenities. Free WiFi. Groceries and a few restaurants in Oelwein, just five minutes up the road. Verizon cell phone on Extended Network. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Our price was the Passport America price. This is a lovely, quiet place on a lake with a small beach area. They do have a mini-golf area and a playground. It was a bit of a challenge to get here - it isn't off a main highway that we know of but it was a nice ride through miles of cornfields and certainly worth the travel. It seems to be about half seasonal sites but they are very neat and tidy. The office staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. We would most definitely return here.
