Electricity but no water at the site. Our site was level. Internet was slower but the signal was strong. We received quite a few TV channels. Cell phone service was good. The place was almost empty so that the skies were dark at night. The hiking trails were pretty good with lots and lots of wildflowers everywhere. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. Worked for an overnight stop, but we would have stayed a few days if our trip had allowed. 5 miles off I-80, a mile of park before you reach the campground. Lots of hills for our 38 footer. Sunday night, school in session - lots of sites to choose from. Half the sites are closed for to electrical work. Pull thru and back in sites. Ours was fairly level, some sites are more level than others. Electric at every site, water spigots around park and a dump station. Shower house at entrance, a few pit toilets else where. Walking trails were so inviting. A bit of civilized noise (trains, humans) but mostly bird song. And lots of stars. We are planning a longer stay soon. Might want to drive the loops before you pick a site. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family in the area. The North Loop was closed but the park was not crowded. There are pull-through sites as well as back-in sites. We chose a pull-through near the showers. We did need to use Lynx Levelers under the rear tires in order to get level but that was no big deal. The park is convenient to Coralville and Iowa City. The host was very friendly and welcoming. It is a beautiful park with lots of recreation areas - we viewed the prairie area and it was beautiful, even though it was early Spring. They are restoring the lake and that area was interesting to see. You do hear some highway and train noise but that didn't bother us at all. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

Easiest to find if you stay on Highway 6 through Iowa City/Coralville rather than I-80.

Nice park but.

Most sites are very unlevel and not suitable for a motorhome with slides. There is just no excuse for this other than gross mismanagement and/or design.

Trailers or fifth wheels are a little more adaptable but even some of them require side leveling.

Also a few more sites could have clearing for satellite service. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

Pretty, quiet park off Hwy. 6, between Oxford & Tiffin. Roomy, gravel sites with 30/50-amp electric; water & dump available. Park is in a hilly area, so many sites require leveling. There is a playground for the kids, and plenty of room to walk our dogs. We camped in Site #65, a pull-through that was roomy but needed some leveling. We would stay here again. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here just one night on our way out west. The site we were in was on a large slope, so our front tires were off the ground. We came in late, so we did self check in. If we had driven a bit further into the campground, we wouldn't have had a problem finding a much more level site. It was a week night, so plenty of open spots. Beautiful setting, great place to walk or hike. Nice and quiet. Would return if we were in the area. Great price, too. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

I stayed just one night and it was self check in. The area was very clean and well kept. The site I used was fairly level. There were a lot of sites to choose from that looked good for a motorhome. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent and had a good phone signal on AT&T. I did use the restroom and showers and they were very clean. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

Self check-in was easy but you will need to follow the signs a fair distance to find the actual entrance to the campground area. Once in the campground it would be hard to pick a bad spot as most have great views of the surrounding forested hills and meadows. We set up in one of two ADA sites that were a short walk from the centrally located shower facility. Water service is spaced evenly between most RV sites requiring transport or topping off your internal tank. There are several WiFi hot spots identified on the campground map that can help you to select a site that will assure you with great reception. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park does not have a "camp store" on its premises so campers will need to come with necessary stores or take a 15 minute drive to Tiffin, IA.

Very nice county park with well spaced sites. It is hilly terrain so many of the sites require leveling. Flatter sites available at the bottom of the hills. Good selection of pull thru and back in sites. Located about 12 miles from the Amana Colonies and close to Iowa City. Having wi-fi with excellent speed was a nice surprise! Beach was closed due to poor water quality while we where here. First come, first serve but we called the ranger to check on availability on the way there. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fresh water fill is available at dump station. It was not busy so we pull in the opposite direction on our way in. Some water hydrants available along camp roads also.

This campground has 86 sites. The roads are paved but the camp sites are gravel and very level. The sites are large and well spaced, some are back ins and some are pull throughs along side the road. This is a very beautiful park 1,052 acres with a very nice swimming beach, hiking trails and picnic areas. No reservations, first come first serve, but I had the choice of just about any site coming in on a Wednesday. They have free WiFi also. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one night on our way from MN to Springfield, IL. This is a very nice park and we had the pick of the sites as there were very few people staying here. We stayed in the site next to the handicap site and it was very level and easy to back into with our motorhome. We did check out the showers, but, they were not the best - very little privacy and nowhere to set bottles of shampoo, etc. This is usual for state park campgrounds versus a private rv park. Good value. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

A great value - nicely maintained park near Amana Colonies for a great price. Beautiful lake with hiking/biking trail all around easily accessed from the campground. Large sites with shade yet we could get the satellite dish connected :). The only negative was several of the sites were at a decent slant so it took more than just the leveling jacks to get level... We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.

Very quiet & restful. 1,082 acres, mostly woods but some small prairies. 4 mile plus road great for biking though 3 mean hills. Nice trails for hiking &/or easy mountain biking. Cross country skiing. Large lake (17acres) for fishing with swim area. Nice walking path around lake. Have stayed here frequently for a local get-a-way. Easy access from I-80 @ Tiffin. Only 4 or 5 miles. Bathroom/shower kept clean. Host very friendly. We camped at F.W. Kent Park in a Motorhome.
