#112 full service pull-through $ 37 no discount. This is a basic RV park attached to a motel and very close to I-80 at exit 34. The RV park is an open grass field with no trees. Sites do not have a picnic table or BBQ and are very close together. We arrived early evening and were able to pick a site with no one on either side of us, so it did not feel as crowded. Others appear to have parked their truck or toad in the next site to give themselves some additional space - nobody seems to monitor the place. WiFi is decent with an extender, but I could not connect other devices that did not have an extender, though we were quite a distance from the motel office. Given the deep ruts in the grass, you might want to think twice about parking here if the ground is wet or rain is in the forecast. Okay for an overnight stop along I-80, but no longer than that. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very basic park with no wifi and no cable. This is a field (no trees any place) with a gravel road in the park; some gravel with grass growing in it for parking your rig. Maintenance and grounds upkeep do not appear to be a strong suite for this place, that said, they did mow while we were there. The sites are so close together that two rigs with slideouts on both side would almost touch. The shower-house/rest-room/meeting-room building was clean enough and they did let us use the meeting room for our rally for no charge. Verizon service works OK. When registering, stop at the entrance to the park and walk over to the motel office to register. This is an acceptable place to overnight with full hookups. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grass and weeds needed much care. Hadn't been mowed for several weeks and even longer on weed trimming. Only a few picnic tables and most were broken. No trees at all ! Will never go back! This place should be charging no more than $20.00. Better places to stay for the price. Not a place most will stay twice. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We should have visited RV Park Reviews website before stopping at this particular RV park in Shelby, IA. We were charged a top of the range rate for a site in a muddy open field. No cable, no Wi-Fi, no sewer, amenities one would expect for this price in a small town in Iowa. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Easy access from the freeway but the signs directing RV registration were confusing. WiFi did not work except next to the office at the inn. The restrooms and showers were in need of basic servicing. Very tight spaces but the park was nearly empty so spacing was fine. The sites were level but the key to turn on the water had to be turned with pliers because the valve was so tight. The sewer and water connections were very close together which is never a good idea. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to get to campground. I would use for overnight stay only. Located close to interstate. Highway noise is present but not bothersome for us. The site was level and had all the necessary hook-ups. There is a water key required to access your site spigot. You receive this at check-in. Not a problem for us. Facilities were clean but worn and in need of serious updating. We used them as quickly as we could and got out. Lots of bugs. The campground has no pool or activities for kids but we were not interested anyway. If I were in the area I would stay for overnight last resort purposes only. Truthfully, I would rather not stay again and would keep driving in search of something a little better. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Shelby Inn and RV Park is an easy on-off stop while crossing Iowa. However, it is just a field with RV hookups. No frills. A few picnic tables to share. Fine for an overnight stop but nothing more. You were given a key to turn on the water but it took a walk back to the office to exchange keys until we found one that fit. Pretty pricey. But, it works for the night. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just off the interstate. Plenty of food places available close by. Although the place is up for sale the RV park is in reasonable condition. Not many sites occupied so getting in and out was good. If it gets busy I feel it would be difficult. Sites are not long so everybody parks on empty side sites, a habit which is prone with issues and could be a problem. No Wi-Fi available in the RV park but if you visit the Motel you can get Wi-Fi here. Slight noise due to the interstate and lights from the nearby gas stations do interfere into the park. All sites are on a gradual incline, so stay at the bottom or go to the top near to the bathrooms and they seem to be the most level. Handy off the interstate and okay for a overnight stay but not for a long time. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed here before, so stayed again as it is very convenient to I-80 with a restaurant and a Dairy Queen within walking distance. Long gravel pull through and mostly level. However, this time we had to try 4 different sites for water; a little park maintenance would be in order. Because of convenience will stay again if in area. The park seemed like an excellent overnight stay with easy access from I-80. 110 pull through gravel sites with full hook-ups. Sites are fairly level, some more than others. However, we were not assigned a site so could pick one of the more level sites. There were only 2 occupied sites when we arrived mid-afternoon. We checked in at the motel. The women who checked us in was very friendly. I asked about Wi-Fi and she wasn’t sure if it was working but gave me the password. After several attempts to connect, I did get it to work for e-mail but was only fair reception and not enough to view videos or sites with much data. I think she told me that they were working on getting better reception out in the park. Good TV antenna reception with all major networks and some additional channels. Verizon cell phone and Jet pack reception was excellent. Once set up, the breaker at the post kept tripping when the AC came on. We called the office and the women came out but wasn’t much help but did let us plug into the post one site over instead of having to move. Tried to sit outside to relax but the flies were terrible. Don’t know if that was due to time of year or they are always around. All in all, not worth the $32 parking fee. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We like to stay here when dashing across Iowa. While there are tons of interesting things to see and to do in Iowa, we some times need a fast place to park for overnight. This is an ideal campground for stopping for over night rest. While there are no trees and each site's patch of green grass is very narrow, no one has ever is parked within 3 to 4 spots of our site. We pull up on the frontage road at the motel, walk in to pay for any site. Then we drive forward past the Dairy Queen back onto the country road, and left back into the campground entrance for a straight road into the campground. All the sites are pull through, mostly level gravel pads. No frills at the campground, but the water pressure is good, campground is quiet, and the nearby truck stop noise is a gentle hum not heard inside the trailer. We will return. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Full Hookups, AT&T, and food. Park is filled with quite a few permanents. Narrow lots but long enough to keep toad connected. A little freeway noise but acceptable. Good for overnight stay. Little pricey for what you get. We would use it again. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Office at motel for check in is strange and you have to walk across a lawn from your RV to get to it, as the motel has a separate driveway entrance. The park itself works fine for a stop over and is an easy on and off the interstate. It is basically a parking lot with no grass or trees. The place is for sale, so I wouldn't expect any improvements for some time. I'd look for an alternative. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is ok if you just need a place to stop for the night. We stayed three nights, as we were visiting family in the area. The 50amp electric, water, and sewer worked fine. There were only a few picnic tables and we had to move one to our site. The sites are very narrow, but this was not a problem as there were very few campers in the park. The restrooms and showers were mostly clean. There is no playground equipment and nothing for kids to do. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very dusty, narrow spaces. No shade at all. A little noisy. The dust was mostly if you camp in the front where all the truck traffic is. The motel was locked when we first got here, so we had to wait for the girl to return from the bank run. Plenty of spaces to choose from and even though the spaces are narrow, I doubt you hardly ever have a neighbor right next door in this place. Needs a little upkeep. Not sure that I would stay here again. We camped at Shelby Country Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.
