Small campground with 30 amp electric only, dump station and you need to fill water. Shade trees and picnic tables, Wi-Fi was good and got a fair Verizon service. This is a very quiet park except for the noon whistle that is next to the park and occasional train. It is a short walk to the Grotto of the Redemption that has nine different grottos of the life of Christ, and a museum with a large collection of rocks and petrified wood. We camped at the Grotto of the Redemption RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $15.00
The Grotto of the Redemption is a masterpiece of geological rocks and gems with the story of Jesus. Behind the grotto is the campground. The address given on the website isn't exactly accurate. It is on 3 St and 1 Ave NW directly behind the church and grotto. The only sign was at the campground. It's nothing fancy but the sites are pull through on grass and 30 amps is available. For $15/nite and the remarkable grotto it's a worthwhile stop in a small Midwest town with nice people. The type of place RVers appreciate.
