We arrived about 6 pm and were directed to our site and connected our unit without difficulty. We noticed about 90% of the RV units were occupied by residents who were there for work related in the surrounding areas. While most sites were clean it was apparent that many of the units had not been relocated in many months. Our next door neighbor was absent but left his HVAC unit running most of the night in the heating mode and it was less than 5 feet from our bedroom window. - Birdieman
Aug 2016 - $34.00
This place was a mud puddle after the recent rain. Office was closed all afternoon. Will look for another park if in the area. - arkietraveler
Aug 2016 - $34.00
Quite, easy access, shady, etc. We were so tired from traveling that we didn't have time to do anything but eat, clean up and go to sleep. Sorry. - LindaGarrard
Oct 2016 - $26.00
This is a great park for an overnight stay. We have been here a couple of times previously as we are originally from the area. It is easy access on and off the I-135. It is a no frills park, the sites are fairly level, gravel. The utilities are good, the WIFI was iffy. This is a combo RV/Mobile Home park but they are pretty much separated. The Mobile Home part is what makes this park look bad as there are probably 3 or 4 empty homes that are deteriorating. They were working on the one that is lived in while we were there. We stayed 5 weeks + 2 nights. The monthly rate is about $10/night and the weekly $15/night plus utilities. You prepay utilities and then the extra is refunded to by check. There are lots of rules so if you are there more than a night or 2 you are bound to break one of them and the owner does let you know about it. The choice of RV parks in the Wichita area is very limited. This one is easy access to get into Wichita without being right in the city. - jacknpeg
Oct 2016 - $26.00
Very good over night stop, only penile from interstate with no road noise. Easy in and out. Long level gravel pull thru accommodating my 45 ft coach towing a SUV. Did not have to disconnect. Strong 50 amp. water was high in sodium so did not use it. WiFi was ok if you had direct line of sight to the back of the office. Good satellite reception. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. - mrk
Sep 2016 - $28.00
This is a very basic park. It is clean, well managed by a very nice couple who own it, and offers a full hook-up pull through with level, gravel sites that have grass between each. Wi-Fi, admittedly by them upon check-in, is iffy. "if" your computer/I-pad is within eye-sight of the fourth window on the back of their office (on the left as you look at it from your site) you can get internet. Nothing fancy. Quiet, smallish and just fine. We'd come back, if ever in the area again, without hesitation. - TPDBOB8687
Aug 2014 - $12.00
We stayed here while visiting family in Wichita. This is a large county park on a lake with lots of electric only sites. Some sites have shade but most are in open grass fields. Check in is at the park office/store. The sites are not numbered and the person in the store didn't have any information on where to find one. She just said to drive around and hook up to one you like. Not all are 50 amp and the 50 amp boxes are randomly mixed in. After searching a bit we discovered that the boxes will have '50 AMP ELECTRIC' stenciled on them. There is a storm shelter near the camping area in case of severe weather. There is a camp host that checks to make sure you registered. I he county Sheriff patrolled the park regularly. The rate is with the senior discount. - Bruce Baker
Oct 2011 - $9.00
This is a very nice park situated around Lake Afton, a very pretty lake with swimming areas, a boat dock & ramp, playgrounds and even a model airplane field. Most of the sites are electric only, but they do have 16 sites on the east side of the lake with water and electric. 50 amp is available, and there is a dump station. Drinking water is available at several locations. They also sell propane at a very reasonable price, $2.89/gal. The price we paid reflects the Senior rate for electric only. The regular rate is $11 with $1 extra if you have water & electric. We loved this park and would definitely camp here again. - wntrtxn
Apr 2016 - $27.00
Although all the sites have 30 amp and 50 amp outlets, you are charged a premium for 50 amp even though we only used 30 amp. The site pads are gravel and dirt, which becomes slick mud and standing water when it rains. The view is limited insofar as it is a small reservoir. Sites are situated side by side with no intervening space. Not worth the price. - Timeking
Aug 2016 - $40.00
We have stayed here several times in recent years. The park is a gravel parking area arranged in 4 rows. Most sites are pull-throughs. One row of back-ins is primarily long term residents. Connections are typical, but some may find the sewer port further from their connection than desired. The base rate now is $44/night which includes a $4/day metered electric allowance. The rate has been consistently going up and many might consider it too high for a parking lot with hookups. Large rigs with multiple A/C units and use of electric heaters may incur additional fees for electric usage above the daily allowance. This practice is new since we here last year. A few sites have trees, most are in open sunshine. Picnic tables are new. Staff provides an escort to your site on arrival. They also enforce the 5 mpg speed limit in the park. Park is far enough from highway and RR tracks that noise in minimal. Wi-Fi is better than most campgrounds, TV is readily available with rooftop antenna and most sites have clear sight for satellite. - Trailbuddy
Apr 2016 - $41.00
Pricey for what you get. Location on north side. The park is well take care of and has full service pull thru but you have to unhook. Water pressure is Very High-use a pressure restrictor. - Barber1998
Dec 2015 - $39.00
I'm a bit surprised by the wide variety of ratings since we found the park to be very well kept, spotlessly clean and nice folks with the big cat chatting and checking us in. With the GS discount we still thought the price a bit high for a no pool, no cable and slow wifi place in an industrial area. Great place to stop for a night on the way to somewhere else...nice, wide sites with shade & good level gravel with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. We would stop again. - Camaraderie
Jun 2016 - $30.00
This is primarily a park for permanent motorhomes. It was a bit scruffy, with uncut grass and some garbage around. But it is only a mile off of I-35 and there is a large, new Quik Trip store adjacent. It wasn't pretty, but it was handy. Friendly lady in the office. She wouldn't take cash, only check or CC. - suerover
Apr 2015 - $30.00
This is a RV/Mobile home park. Many run down mobile homes and some permanent people living in their 5th wheel.
It's behind a QT convenience store, next to a highway and railroad tracks. The trains come though frequently at all times of the day and night and blow their horns continually. Even with the windows shut, it got annoying when they come thru late at night and early morning. Someone or someplace near plays music every night and we can hear the bass pounding. It has laundry facilities - 3 washers and 4 dryers. I was able to use that equipment without having to wait, however I ended up using a Laundromat down the road because the equipment damaged many of our clothes and often did not completely clean them. There are cats running around everywhere. Apparently some were pets, others were strays. If we would grill, we would have to watch our food so they wouldn't eat it. Also, we had dogs barking during the day.
Lock down everything! During our stay there, our satellite equipment which was outside, got stolen. That was a loss of around 700.00. We spoke with the owner to see if he would either turn it in to his insurance or contribute for the replacement, but he did neither. He indicated that he has cameras throughout the park, but couldn't see anything and said he would install more cameras which is no benefit to us. We have skirting around our RV and underneath we keep a small fridge and other miscellaneous items. I have my laundry supplies in there and someone stole my rolling laundry cart. We also have a generator hooked up in the back, locked up in a cage. Someone cut the lock off, but fortunately they must not have had enough time to remove the generator. - nd65
Oct 2014 - $35.00
Good, Clean park. Easy access off I-135, large level pull-through, grass between sites, friendly staff and close to shopping. We would stay here again. - B&G 2011
Nov 2016 - $48.00
Other than a bit pricey, this park could be a model for many others we have stayed in. What isn't grass is pavement and vice versa. Sites were plenty large enough for our class a plus toad. Sites were as level as any we have found. Nice to not have to sweep every time we came inside. Lots of food sites just outside the gate. Would stay again anytime. - lexilee
Oct 2016 - $36.00
Level concrete pads. Paved, wide roads. Utilities properly placed and worked satisfactorily. WIFI didn't work the first 3 days, but then worked fine. Cable TV was not High Definition, but otherwise good. No picnic table. Price is high for the lack of amenities, but it is a good place for a stopover for a few days. Daily rate shown was for a week's stay. - ramblin' vagabonds
Sep 2016 - $40.00
Positives: GREAT new park, all paved concrete drives & parking spots with nice grass throughout park. Good wide spaces. VERY friendly helpful staff. easy access off I-135, just pass the KS Turnpike toll both as you get off I-35. We had an emergency and had to leave early and staff was VERY accommodating. Near MANY good eating places. GREAT satellite 'clear sky' view in all spots.
NEGATIVES: Only negative was the wifi. It was very dismal and not reliable. Park needs to address this issue. This, and this alone, kept me from rating this park a 9 or 10. I don't mind paying a premium for parking but I want GOOD wifi. One other thing would have been nice was some type of picnic or other table at site. - hsteinle
Jul 2016 - $30.00
An OK place. They have dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning if you are interested. The sites could be a little more level front to back, but side to side was good. No cable TV but can get some stations off the air. - hotpepperkid99
Jun 2016 - $14.00
Pretty setting surrounding lake. Permanents were well kept up. Quiet park. We stayed one night, en route, but could have easily stayed longer. - User3119
May 2016 - $10.00

Very Quite park even on the weekends.
Not for sure if we would return. - dodgenoble2014
