3 Parks near Deerfield, Kansas
Jul 2016 - $15.00
A rural campground. Lots are 25 ft wide & fairly level. A combination of gravel & grass sites. Didn't use bathroom or showers. Had a Plains thunderstorm go through at 2AM. Constant lightening, rain & hail combined with 60 to 80 mph winds. Both my wife & I thought the trailer was going to roll over. We knew no tree would fall on us as there were'nt any to knock the wind down. Turned out to be minimal damage to CG & trailers. It was an acceptable 1 night stand. - be rob
Jun 2015 - $15.00
This was a midway stop for us meeting up with friends. Spending 2 nights because we hate gearing up and down for 1 day.
This is about as basic a park as you can find.
The $15 Passport America rate inclused $2 for 50 amps. There is no longer a lake because Colorado cut off the water supply.
The water, sewer and electric worked fine, but that's all the "park" offers.
We're not sure we properly parked our motorhome, but there was plenty of room for others if we screwed up.
It's a small, family owned operation with no management on site. They come in the evening to collect the money. - DJanis
Aug 2011 - $13.00
Gave a 3 because it was full hookups and it was Passport American. What a dump. No beach, No fishing, No bathrooms, No Wi-Fi, No Cable. We would not camp here again. - nanamargi
Sep 2016 - $10.00
This is a nice place for a stopover, three miles from US HWY 50 on a good paved road. Water & 30 amp electric. Just what we needed after a couple of long days on the road. Nice and quiet! - dewwood
Jun 2016 - $10.00
Strange place, hard to find. Off county road, then dirt road. Electric and water. Looks like maybe 3 ponds, filled by rain. When we were there only half full. Obviously deep, possibly a former quarry. Fishing when full. Sites were grass, level, back in. Iron ranger for fees. Good for the price. Good one-nighter. - User3119
Jun 2015 - $10.00
This is some abandoned sand pits. We stayed there one night. The restrooms did not have doors on the stalls, which I thought was bad. It is a great place to stay for a night. The mosquitos were very bad so we really didn't get to enjoy the outdoor there. - jacknpeg
Aug 2016 - $27.00
The park itself was fair. Long pull-through sites. WiFi and antenna were good. Network stations only. I asked the lady in the office if I could at least hose off the bugs on my windshield and she said no. This is the first park where I have been told this. Then when I went to my site it was muddy so I went back to the office and asked if I could get another drier site. She said no because all sites were taken. In the morning I noticed that half the park was empty. She apparently didn't care about satisfying a paying customer. I would not stay here again just for this reason. - arkietraveler
Apr 2016 - $27.00
Unfortunately this is a very run down park, the buildings lack maintenance and paint, picnic tables have not been painted in years and overall the park reflects little to no upkeep on basic maintenance. If you need a one nite place in a hurry, it works, past that, suggest you keep driving. Lot spacing is very close with some shade. Site surface is dirt and features a picnic table. - Gary and Gladys
Oct 2015 - $27.00
Rate reflects a Good Sam discount. As previously noted, this is an older park with quite a few long term campers. However the park is quiet, access in and out is easy, there are some shade trees in the park, and the sites are quite level. A previous review indicated that there was a windmill "factory" next to the park. There is no factory. This is a storage lot for wind turbine parts and there is no noise from this storage lot. Also we must have missed the cattle feed lot referred to as well. We did not detect any unusual smells. Obviously, this park is not a destination park, but is more that suitable for an overnight stop. There was good satellite, Verizon and AT&T service at RJ's. - Johnson's
