This is a very no frills basic stop over campground. The majority of sites are permanent residents and not all of them are very well kept. The road is rather rutted. The owners are not on site so it is self check in and leave your payment in the box provided. It was hard to determine where the sites were and to find one that didn't have things laying on the ground. It is super quiet and this was our place of one day rest in a week of overnighters so the quiet was appreciated. The site was pull through only because there was no one in the adjoining site. We were able to leave the car on the tow dolly. There is no grass, only weeds with lots of grasshoppers which was fun. There is a picnic table we could have pulled over but there was a very large animal trap on it so we didn't. We had full hook ups with 50 amp and good water pressure. Appears to be well water and the taste is bad, bring bottled water. No WiFi and Verizon signal good. We stayed two nights June 25-26, 2017 and paid $15 a night with our Passport America discount. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A rural campground. Lots are 25 ft wide & fairly level. A combination of gravel & grass sites. Didn't use bathroom or showers. Had a Plains thunderstorm go through at 2AM. Constant lightening, rain & hail combined with 60 to 80 mph winds. Both my wife & I thought the trailer was going to roll over. We knew no tree would fall on us as there were'nt any to knock the wind down. Turned out to be minimal damage to CG & trailers. It was an acceptable 1 night stand. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a midway stop for us meeting up with friends. Spending 2 nights because we hate gearing up and down for 1 day.

This is about as basic a park as you can find.

The $15 Passport America rate inclused $2 for 50 amps. There is no longer a lake because Colorado cut off the water supply.

The water, sewer and electric worked fine, but that's all the "park" offers.

We're not sure we properly parked our motorhome, but there was plenty of room for others if we screwed up.

It's a small, family owned operation with no management on site. They come in the evening to collect the money. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Gave a 3 because it was full hookups and it was Passport American. What a dump. No beach, No fishing, No bathrooms, No Wi-Fi, No Cable. We would not camp here again. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night passing through. Passport America rate. There is no beach; only a pond out back of the restrooms. Restrooms were old, rustic and not very clean. Not much water would come out of shower head. The people were very nice. We had two rigs and I was speaking to the owners and they asked if we had two air conditioners. I thought they meant on the two rigs. We were standing right in front of our small campers which obviously have one A/C per unit and I said yes thinking they meant "Total". So we were overcharged as if we had two A/C units each on our small campers. I guess it was "my" mistake. Be sure to check the voltage on their plug-ins before you hook up. It caused us a problem down the line. The spaces are level since it is a field. We would not stay there again. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The owners of the campground are very nice and I wish I could give a review on just them. But, as a campground it is basically a field with hookups. But, if you just need a place to hook up for the night this is just fine. The campground did fill up while we were there. The restrooms are not the greatest looking. We stayed on a Passport rate. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

$12 rate was for Passport America. Very disappointed in park. 29 sights, but they are head to head and short, so if you're driving a big rig & toad, or towing a larger 5th wheel, you're going to take up two sites, as we had to. They are pull through, and there was only a handful of other trailers there, so it wasn't a problem. About 12 of the sites are on a hard-pack, level, grassy surface. However, the rest of the sites are on very soft dirt. If it rains, you're stuck. The park is about 2 miles off of busy Highway 50, so there is no traffic noise. Remember, you're in the heart of southwest Kansas, home of many, many cattle feed lots. So depending on wind direction and temperature, you may smell them if you don't see them. We'll drive on down the road next time We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very acceptable place for a night's stay in southwestern Kansas. We had no trouble leveling on the grassy sites. There is a lake near the campsites, but water was very low this time of the year. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.
