A wonderful park about 3 miles due west of DCKS. We stayed in front section; Level gravel "buddy" sites, clean and well maintained park. Although the trains runs nearby, the park is otherwise extremely quiet. Pristine laundry and showers, strong Wi-Fi, but fuzzy cable. Shuttle runs to nearby Casino. Hospitable manager checked in our three rigs in a breeze. Great grassy dog walk areas. Back side of park is great for longer rigs/longer stays. Lots of wonderful shade trees all over the park. Would definitely come here again! We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Boot Hill Museum, and other Old Town/Front Street exhibits, that are tastefully and accurately maintained by local historians and conservationists. Daily Wild West reinactment at 12 noon.

The sites were level pull-thrus. WiFi worked well. The only drawback was the trains that went by throughout the night. I would consider this park the best buy in Dodge City. We would stay here again. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with level sites, trees, grass, lots of pull throughs and peace and quiet. Pool looked very nice as well. Close to boot hill museum and old dodge city. We saw the show there...dinner was good but show was hokey. A nice newish casino is very close by if that's your thing. Overall a great park! We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Located close to many restaurants and museums but secluded enough to feel like you're not near a town. It is actually down in a "bowl-type" area which shelters it from most noise. Quick and efficient check-in with much information provided. Most sites have a tree or two. Grass is well-trimmed and sites are clean and everything works. Wi-Fi was adequate. My wife loved the soft, distant train whistle in the night. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Dodge City has a rich cowboy heritage and there is much to see in the town. Many fine Mexican restaurants.

Older park but well maintained with a friendly staff. Locked gate at 9 PM with a pass code. Lots here, ice cream parlor, kids room with arcade games, pool is OK but small and in need of TLC. Showers and restrooms are clean and spacious. Lots of grass for dogs. Sites are gravel and level as are the roads and with an escort to your site. Many shade trees line the sites but plenty of room for slides. Great cable and WIFI. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in the city just 3 miles away. Nice Casino about 2 miles away

We loved this park which has plenty of spots for big rigs and lots of amenities. There is an escort to your site, which we always appreciate. Each spot has some type of shade tree and a picnic table. Hookups were great. Cable worked perfectly and so did the WIFI (which is very rare!). Sites are long enough to stay hooked up. Pool is heated and the laundry ($1.25 wash/$.25 dry) was neat and clean. Restrooms and showers were clean. Pool was heated. Nice little store at check-in with a small trade library. We were in the back and didn't hear much road noise. A train does pass once in the morning and once later evening but that did not bother us. Check out the metal art sculptures throughout the park. If roads were paved it would be a solid 10. We would stay again for sure. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is about 3 miles from Boot Hill Museum in Dodge City, which has lots of historical information, plus dinner and a couple of shows in a package for not much more money. Dinner was excellent as were the shows! We highly recommend it!

Avoid the Chinese buffet about a mile from the park.

Very good stopover for a stay in Dodge City. Level gravel pad with all utilities good, especially fast Wifi. Trains come thru around 10pm and 630am but very quiet otherwise. Located just outside of town. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the Boot Hill museum and see the museum, gunfight, dinner and saloon show.

Located right off Highway 50 on the outskirts of Dodge City. Friendly check in. Very large general store and ice cream shop. Large pool in front of the office/store.

The online reservation system is a bit off-putting. You have to enter a bunch of info and code before you can even know the rates. Better off just calling them.
We stayed in one of the 80' pull thru sites in the back of the campground. It was gravel and level. Not much shade, although there was more in the tenting area. Very hot and dusty as was the entire town of Dodge City. We just stopped there overnight and would stay at this park again if in the area, which I doubt will happen.
If you are in the area, Dodge City is a piece of American history that you should see. The Boot Hill museum is interesting and gives you the history of the area and you can see Boot Hill cemetery where some of the first of the city's inhabitants were buried. It's set up like an old historic town but rather than being just a museum the shops sell fudge and other touristy items. I didn't care as much for that part. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were there on a Saturday night in June and discovered a dirt track race was being held at the Dodge City dirt track. We went and had a great time.

Spent a week here on site #86 in a 70 foot pull-through site. Park is nice and the trees are very nice with afternoon sun. Be prepared for windy, blustery days and forget using your awnings! The park could be improved with better access roads (should pave them) that are smoother and less rock and rut filled. The sites are not paved and this means your rig will get dirty when the wind blows or it rains. Excellent Wi-Fi and decent cable TV package. Nice park store with a very nice RV parts area. Folks that run the park were very helpful. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is a couple miles away. Everything is handy and close by at this RV location. Downtown Dodge City is fun if you were a "Gunsmoke" fan that allows you to trace the "Walk of Fame" star medallions. The Boot Hill Museum is OK (probably better in summer when more events going on). The Boot Hill Casino is only a mile away from the park if that is your thing. The Santa Fe Trail wagon wheel tracks are a disappointment. The Overlook showing the huge cattle stockyards is OK.

In the middle of "nowhere" Kansas is a little gem. great service, great sites, great amenities. Not their fault that the Kansas wind showed up our first night. Wi-Fi was so good, we stayed a second night so we could get some work done. If you're going this way, this is a great place for a sojourn. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground. Only drawback is the train track across the highway. Big long pull-thrus. Owners are very nice. Nice store, clean laundry and game room. We will be back if in the area. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of stuff to do in Dodge City. History was made here. Make sure you bring your kids, young and old to learn the history of the Ole West.

The pull-thru sites up in the back of the park are long and pretty wide. There is highway and railroad noise but it's not too bad. The park is nicely located to Dodge City attractions and many other day-trip attractions. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean park with long, level, fairly wide, gravel pull-thru sites with grass in between. Woodall's directions were misleading - park is on North side of U.S. 50 (Wyatt Earp Blvd.), about 3 miles West of Boot Hill attractions. Roads were rather rough, with large gravel; but there were plenty of "grassy" areas to walk my dogs. We would stay here again. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We're currently camping at Gunsmoke on the outskirts of Dodge City. It's a pleasant enough place for an overnight stop: quiet and safe feeling. They lock the gates at 11 PM, but you can still get out in an emergency. The Wi-Fi is fine. My husband and I are using our two laptops on the Gunsmoke connection at the same time. Connections were quick and the service is speedy. We would stay here again. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.
